An exceptionally rare Clichy convolvulus paperweight, circa 1850The white, faintly ribbed trumpet-shaped flower edged in bright yellow, on a delicately curling stem with a single large leaf, set on a spiralling white filigree cushion, 7.3cm diam, 5.3cm highFootnotes:Also called a Morning Glory, this is one of the rarest of all single flower paperweights. Fewer than thirty examples by Clichy are recorded, either on a clear ground or on a filigree cushion, see Paul Dunlop, The Dictionary of Glass Paperweights (2009), p.102. A very similar example set with a pink and white convolvulus from the Baroness de Bellet Collection was sold by Bonhams on 19 May 2010, lot 140. Three French millefiori paperweights, circa 1850Comprising a Baccarat concentric weight, the central stardust cane within four rows of pastry-mould and cogwheel canes in red, white and blue, 6.5cm diam, 4.3cm high, a St. Louis patterned weight with a central red and white composite cane and five white canes within an outer garland of blue and pale green canes, 6.6cm diam, 4.7cm high, and a St. Mandé patterned magnum weight, of distinctive grey tint, with six looped garlands formed of opposing pairs of composite canes in aqua and coral, blue and white, and white, around an arrangement of green and blue canes, 8.9cm diam, 6.4cm high (3)Footnotes:The aqua and coral canes in the magnum weight are colours characteristic of St. Mandé. Four American fruit paperweights from the New England Glass Co, circa 1852-80Comprising two with cruciform arrangements of fruit among leaves on filigree cushions, one with five red and yellow pears among cherries, 6.4cm diam, 4.4cm high, the other with nine colourful fruits, 6.4cm diam, 5cm high, together with two blown weights naturalistically modelled as fruit on clear glass 'cookie' or wafer bases, one an apple shaded from red to orange to yellow, 8.5cm diam, 6.8cm high, the other a pear shaded from red to pink to yellow, 8.6cm diam, 6.4cm high (4)Footnotes:A similar blown pear is illustrated by Paul Dunlop, The Dictionary of Glass Paperweights (2009), p.57, fig.56 where he notes that the New England Glass Co. patented the Amberina process in 1883. Advanced Flight Sergeant, he was commissioned Pilot Officer on 12 June 1941, and was advanced Flight Lieutenant on 1 September 1945; Squadron Leader on 1 January 1952; and Wing Commander on 1 January 1957. He retired on 15 July 1960, and died on 3 June 1978.

Bauer - Two printed and pre-cut cardboard building kits suitable for slot car layouts. Lot includes Bauer Nuburgring Continental Pit Tower and Garages; with Dunlop Control Tower. DeAgostini - A collection of 10 boxed 1:24 scale motorcycles by DeAgostini. Lot includes Suzuki RG500 'Barry Sheene' 1977; Honda 750 'Joey Dunlop' 1985; MV Augusta 500 'John Surtees' 1956 and similar. Models appear to be in Mint condition housed in Excellent rigid perspex display cases with minor wear. An Arts and Crafts agate pendant necklace, possibly by Sybil Dunlop, the openwork pendant designed as a cluster of cushion, oval and pear-shaped green and blue stained agate cabochons in closed-back settings, interspersed with bead highlights, suspended below a pair of similarly set blue stained agate cabochons, on a ropetwist and trace-link back chain spaced by trios of green stained agate beads, unsigned, cluster length 3.5cm, pendant drop length 7.8cm, chain length 39cmCondition report: The cabochons and beads have variable hues. In the case of the cabochons, this is possibly due to partial discolouration of the closed-back settings, which may be foiled. Surface wear, scuffs, nicks and occasional small chips to the pendant mount, chain and cabochons, commensurate for use. Patchy tarnishing throughout. Three of the pear-shaped settings have fine splits/chips to the corners and one of these settings has a possible solder repair. Occasional other settings have fine splits/chips and some of the settings have shallow dents/dings/impressions to the sides and back. The central cushion-shaped cabochon is a little loose in its setting. Some of the links to the chain have possible small solder repairs and junctions between the links are worn in places. The bolt ring clasp is functioning but may be a later replacement. Metal standard is untested, but likely to be a grade of silver. Gross weight approx. 22.8gm. Pendant width 3.5cm.
