James Brade Sword (Pennsylvania, 1839 - 1915) Early Pennsylvania landscape at sunset depicting fishermen getting ready to head out on their boats. Oil on Canvas. Signed lower right. Sword's active life in art is reflected by his memberships in the Artists' Fund Society, Philadelphia Society of Artists, and Art Club of Philadelphia, of which he was a founder. His work is in the collection of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. His 1911 portrait of J. W. Jones, speaker of the House, still hangs in the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Sight Size: 16 x 22.25 in. Overall Framed Size: 21.75 x 27.75 in.

Richard Winston Dickie Arbiter LVO (born September 1940) is a British journalist, television and radio commentator on the British royal family and an international public speaker. He was a press spokesman for Queen Elizabeth II from 1988 until 2000; in the 1996 Birthday Honours, he was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO). Good condition. Brian Hirschfeld (UK, d. 2013) quantity of black and white photographic prints of social documentary portraits and scenes. Some named to back including London Lunch Hour, Inclement Weather, My Secret Life, The Speaker!, The Couple, A Warm Day Father, Speakers Corner 1983. Includes prints and several judges cards from UK and International photography competitions and camera clubs. Approx. 49 mounted prints. Note: Brian started photography in 1944 with the gift from his father of a half plane 'hand and stand' camera. Due to the war, no photographic plates were available and his first pictures were taken using photographic paper cut to size. He had no particular subject of choice, but enjoyed a black and white documentary style. He enjoyed playing with light and shade, shapes and lines within his work. Brian entered into many international photography competitions and camera club competitions, gaining his ARPS (Associate - Royal Photographic Society award) and AFIAP (Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique Award) in 2003.

A very rare early portrait, unframed, 160cm x 137cmAxel Ney Hoch and his family were residents in the Hotel Shemtov, a home for war refugees in North West London run by Lenkiewicz' s parents. Axel was a regular firebrand political speaker at Speakers' Corner by Hyde Park and introduced the young Lenkiewicz to various intellectual and philosophical Circles in the Hampstead area. See volume One of Mark Price's biography of the artist published last year.
