More After-Dinner Stories from both Houses of Parliament' (1984). A signed copy of the book is included with the lot. (3)

Macfarlane Esq M.P. dated Aug. 4.1881, concerning the Land Bill and replying to his letter expressing concern regarding release of prisoners and ‘that Mr Parnell on Monday announced himself as the organ for the communication of the desires of the prisoners, and thereupon proceeded, in a state of apparently great excitement, to insult the Speaker and to violate the order of the House with a degree of indecency which I do not remember to have been equalled’.
