Comprising: a Roman ballista bolt with a pyramidal head; a 15th century iron swallowtail arrowhead; three iron medieval crossbow bolts, with pyramidal point, square-section shaft, tubular socket; two medieval ballista bolts with pyramidal point, square-section shaft, tubular socket; two triangular-shaped arrowheads, with pyramidal head; a triangular Eastern Roman bladed arrowhead with a slightly raised mid-rib; a small Anglo-Saxon arrowhead with lozenge form blade and round socket; all mounted on reconstructed modern shafts with their feathered directional lugs, and presented in a wooden display box. Crossbow and bows were the protagonist of the 100 Years War between France and England. The crossbow, a bow fixed at its centre to a wooden stock, was a formidable weapon used by the Genoese crossbowmen, mainly in French service; its heavy bolt could easily penetrate a shield or armour breast plate at close range. The longbow, mainly used by the Welsh archers, was able to pierce armours at greater distance. During the reign of Edward III, the long bow distance was estimated to be 400 yards. SERIES, 1963 - 1965) - Mork's (Robin Williams) Screen-Matched Helmet - Mork's (Robin Williams) screen-matched helmet from the television series Mork and Mindy. Mork wore his helmet as he landed on Earth from Ork in his egg-shaped spaceship and later wore it during a visit to Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli's (Henry Winkler) house in the pilot episode. This helmet was originally used in the television series The Outer Limits' Season 2 episode "Soldier," where the helmet screen-matches to when it was worn by Quarlo Clobregnny (Michael Ansara) due to its unique structural features seen in close-up images, as well as how the brim is cut out and the various knicks at the mandibles. The helmet was later passed on to Williams to use as Mork in his cameo appearance in the television series Happy Days episode "Mork" and later for the series Mork and Mindy. The helmet screen-matches to the Season 1 episode "Mork Goes Public" by an area of paint on the left side of the forehead that is visibly seen when the visor is raised, as well as marking on the inside of the ear speaker when Mindy McConnell (Pam Dawber) holds the helmet.This cast fiberglass shell helmet features sculptural rivets and metal components painted silver-color with a retractable and black tinted Plexiglass faceplate visor, a helmet rig carved "CRABBE" and "#2," and earpieces. The original antenna on its top from The Outer Limits is no longer included and was converted to a parabolic sensor for use by Mork. Included with this lot is a black foam mannequin head mounted to black acrylic base; a magnetic color print photo of Mindy and Mork with his helmet; and a painted resin Christmas ornament of Mork in his egg-shaped spaceship holding a helmet. INTERSTELLAR (2014) - Joseph Cooper's (Matthew McConaughey) Screen-Matched Endurance Jumpseat - Joseph Cooper's (Matthew McConaughey) screen-matched Endurance jumpseat from Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Scratch marks on the right side of this jumpseat screen-match to when Cooper cried while watching his daughter Murph's (Jessica Chastain) birthday message to him in the command module of the Endurance. The Endurance's interior set was designed by production designer Nathan Crowley and decorated by set decorator Gary Fettis, both of whom received Academy Award® nominations for their work. Following filming, production delivered this jumpseat to an airplane junkyard, where it was later recovered.Created using a mix of NASA and commercial aircraft designs, this jumpseat features foam-padded head, back, and seat cushions covered with maroon vinyl, heavy-duty gray nylon cinching straps with metal buckles, and both communication and oxygen regulation panels with moveable knobs and buttons mounted to a metal frame. A wire speaker dangles from the comms panel, and a NASA-branded plaque engraved "Endurance" with serial, OME, and patent numbers screwed on above the headrest. The seat is designed to be adjusted via elasticated cords clipped to the back, along which the paneling is hand-marked "79" and 5" by production to indicate its intended position in the command module. Internal wiring has been cut since production, rendering the panels nonfunctional. The jumpseat exhibits torn vinyl, lifting and missing foam, rusting metal elements, grime, and fractures around the base paneling from production, storage, and exposure. SERIES, 2005) - Full-Size "In A Mirror, Darkly" Original Series-Style Defiant Bridge Set - A full-size "In A Mirror, Darkly" Original Series-style Defiant bridge set from the television series Star Trek: Enterprise. In the Season 4 two-parter, "In a Mirror, Darkly," the mirror universe Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) and his crew discovered the Constitution-class USS Defiant, which had been transported both from the prime universe and from a century ahead of them.These episodes, while serving as a prequel to the classic Star Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror," actually serve as a sequel to the 1968 episode "The Tholian Web" as well. In "The Tholian Web," Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and crew came upon the USS Defiant, interphasing between universes, before it eventually disappeared into an unknown parallel universe, never to be seen again in the Prime Universe. Nearly 38 years after that episode aired, "In A Mirror, Darkly" revealed that not only was the Defiant sent into the Mirror Universe of "Mirror, Mirror", but also a century into the past, giving the Terran Empire the advanced technology it would need to crush any rebellion and establish the dominant power it held by "Mirror, Mirror."For the production of the "The Tholian Web" in 1968, the Defiant was made a Constitution-class vessel, just like the Starship Enterprise, allowing the production to simply reuse the Enterprise set for the Defiant. Therefore, for "In a Mirror, Darkly," production designer Herman Zimmerman and his art department had to essentially recreate the iconic bridge of the USS Enterprise as seen throughout the original 1966 Star Trek series, with some minor alterations both to establish it as the Defiant and subtly update some of the effects used to portray the 23rd century technology. It was constructed on Paramount's Stage 9, and was the first time a full three-quarter version of the famous bridge set stood on a Paramount soundstage since the end of the original Star Trek series in 1969.This oversized lot is constructed primarily of wooden framing with composite wood paneling and consists of a gray wooden doorway with two orange-red turbolift doors held in place by a wooden beam across the back of them; two gray wooden wall panels for either side of the door, one with an opening in which a diagram of the ship would be inserted via metal television mount with an plexiglass sheet, and another with a black foam core panel onto which a Red Alert indicator light would be placed; two gray wooden wall panels for connecting the turbolift alcove to the main bridge; and four gray, blue, and black wooden station segments with colorful acrylic simulated buttons, some of which are numbered, large foam board screens with images of space, small acrylic screens with colorful readouts, and corrugated plastic vents at the bottom of each segment with blue cellophane backings. Intercoms appeared throughout the Enterprise alongside doors and other control panels.This lot comes from the collection of celebrated Star Trek franchise artists and advisors Michael and Denise Okuda. It consists of a foam board with a gray decal cover, a foam silver-color square "speaker" panel, four rubber buttons and a blue acrylic dome light. The back of the console has a sheet of metal attached to the back and contains a circuit board on the interior. This console exhibits adhesive residue on the back and a buildup of grime. STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES (1966-1969) - Spock's (Leonard Nimoy) Screen-Matched Season 3 Tricorder - Spock's (Leonard Nimoy) screen-matched Season 3 tricorder from Gene Roddenberry's television series Star Trek: The Original Series. The tricorders, originally designed by Wah Chang, were altered for the series' third and final season with slight differences, including new black leatherette paneling. Distinctive markings in the metal and leatherette match to close-up shots of Spock's tricorder in the Season 3 episode "Day of the Dove." Screen-matched props from Star Trek: The Original Series are exceedingly rare.Gene Roddenberry's groundbreaking original Star Trek series was hugely influential on the science fiction genre and spawned a massive multimedia franchise covering various television series, theatrical films, comics, video games, and more over the course of over 58 years and is still going strong today.This tricorder is made primarily of metal with black leather paneling; a gold-color mesh sensor embellishment; three simulated lights in red, yellow, and blue with corresponding buttons beneath them; a small gray viewscreen; and a black leather strap for carrying. The top front panel opens to reveal a ribbed metal cylinder and a circular gold-color spiral embellishment meant to simulate a speaker; while the bottom panel opens up to a small storage space. The tricorder exhibits scuffing, discoloration, wear and loosening along the edges and corners of the leather, and the bottom panel sticks.
