Vintage Retro : An American 1950's Dahlberg 4130 - D1 ' Pillow Speaker ' radio , serial number 34668 , the band dial and volume control to front with tone controls on the reverse . Includes circular speaker on extended cable . The Dahlberg radio was designed for use in Motels and Hospitals , the clamp being fixed to the bed headboard and the speaker hung either on the device or placed under a pillow . Extremely fine and rare. Devereaux was the eldest son of Elizabeth I`s favourite who had been executed in 1602. He had been a successful commander of forces in the Netherlands and his Parliamentary appointments came with the commencement of the Civil War. Provenance: Bt. Caroline Penman, September, 1998.
