BRITISH PRIME MINISTERS: A First Day Cover commemorating A Celebration of Anniversaries, post marked at the House of Commons, 11th April 1989, individually signed by four former British Prime Ministers comprising Edward Heath (1970-74), Harold Wilson (1974-76), Margaret Thatcher (1979-90) and John Major (1990-97) and also signed by Bernard Weatherill (1920-2007) British Politician, Speaker of the House of Commons 1983-92 and Baron Mackay of Clashfern (1927- ) British Advocate, Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain 1987-97. All have signed in bold blue or black inks to clear areas. VG
Bang and Olufsen :a pair of Type No. 6621 Beolab Penta Active Loudspeakers (1988) This type of speaker was manufactured between 1986-2000 and designed by Lone and Gideon Lindinger-Loewy. These speakers are in Aluminium and Grey. BeoLab Penta were the top-of-the-line speakers from Bang & Olufsen! Vintage Retro : An American 1950's Dahlberg 4130 - D1 ' Pillow Speaker ' radio , serial number 34668 , the band dial and volume control to front with tone controls on the reverse . Includes circular speaker on extended cable . The Dahlberg radio was designed for use in Motels and Hospitals , the clamp being fixed to the bed headboard and the speaker hung either on the device or placed under a pillow . Sir John Gielgud Unusual 1949 Memorial Service programme for an Irene Vanburgh at St. Margaret, Westminster. Signed by the legendary actor the late great Sir John Gielgud (1904 - 2000). Gielgud`s career spanned eight decades and he was considered to be the "greatest speaker of Shakespearean verse". Good condition
Horse`s hoof with Irish silver mounts as an inkwell, Dublin 1857 by EJ for West & Son, the lid set with a ruby-eyed fox`s head cover for the pen hole, inscribed " The Speaker, died 27th May 1857, aged 51 years", in a velvet lined oak box. Condition report: the velvet lining of the box is faded in parts.

Charles I, the declaration of Parliament, silvered electrotype of the oval medal of 1642, by Thomas Rawlins and in the British Museum; a ship in full sail to left, in exquisite detail, rev., PRO RELIGIONE GREGE ET REGE, the two Houses of Parliament, with the King and Speaker, wide wreath border, 55 x 51mm (MI. 293/110; Platt p. 154, type A). Much as made, good very fine. Platt records three examples of original medals, all in Museum collections. Provenance: Bt. R. Falkiner, June, 2009.
Robert Devereaux, 3rd Earl of Essex (1591-1646), Captain-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Parliamentary army, oval gilt-silver Military Reward badge, 1642, by Thomas Rawlins, half length armoured bust three-quarters left, wide lace collar, holding sword, SX above head, legend in script in two lines, "Should hear both houses of parliament for true religion and subjects freedom stand - Pro Religione lege Rege et Parliamento", rev., the two Houses of Parliament with King and Speaker, wreath border around to both sides, 55.5 x 38mm (MI 295/113; Eim. 140A; Platt II, pp. 79-80), integral suspension loop and ring. Extremely fine and rare. Devereaux was the eldest son of Elizabeth I`s favourite who had been executed in 1602. He had been a successful commander of forces in the Netherlands and his Parliamentary appointments came with the commencement of the Civil War. Provenance: Bt. Caroline Penman, September, 1998.
Edward Montagu, Lord Mandeville and 2nd Earl of Manchester (1602-1671), commander of Parliamentary Eastern Association army, oval gilt-silver Military Reward, 1643, by Thomas Rawlins, armoured bust three-quarters left, sash over shoulder, his hair long and flowing, legend in script in two lines, "Should hear both houses of parliament for true religion and subjects freedom stand - Pro Religione lege Rege et Parliamento", rev., the two Houses of Parliament with King and Speaker, wreath border around to both sides, 52 x 34.5mm (MI 310/138, "Unique?"; Platt II, type G, pp. 334-35), integral suspension loop. Very fine and a contemporary or near contemporary example. Provenance: Glendining`s Auction, 13 September, 2001 (lot 115).

A vintage Bush television and radiogram in mahogany cabinet, a Garrard RC 65A turntable within the hinged lid to top, the front doors opening to reveal a television to left (screen 19cm x 26cm) and a Bush radio to right, over a row of dials for brightness, volume on/off, tune, volume on/off, tune, wavelength, and adjusting screws for horizontal and vertical hold, the base with centrally set Lectrona speaker behind mesh grille with cupboard door to either side, the back marked serial no. 94/00085 with five further adjustment knobs for television (height 86cm width 92cm depth excluding CRT protuberance 51cm)
