MACALLAN X URWERK FLASK 2 HIP-FLASK Known for their eye-catching watches with equally eye-catching price tags, Urwerk and Macallan seem like a match made in luxury heaven. Following on from Macallan’s previous hip-flask collaboration with sunglasses manufacturer, Oakley, the Urwerk flask is constructed to the same high quality, but the features have been dialled up to eleven.Constructed from more than 150 parts, and finished in stylish brushed aluminium, the Urwerk flask houses two separate whisky reservoirs with a mechanism that lets you easily swap between them without risking any cross contamination. To help you remember which of your precious Macallan whiskies you have contained in each tank there are a set of four rotary dials concealed in the base of the flask which can be set to indicate the age of the whiskies, as well as the type of cask each has been matured in. And, for display purposes a built-in stand can be deployed at the push of a button.

Rotary Microtome, Ernst LeitzGerman, c.1900, with label for 'E. LEITZ WETZLAR' on heavy cast iron base with chrome plated flywheel, geared advance to specimen, with box containing 2 microtome knife blades stamped ZDUCL - Zoology Dept. University of Central London, 23.4cm wideFootnote: The rotary microtome is an essential instrument in the preparation of microscope slides, widely utilized in histology and pathology labs. This precision tool slices extremely thin sections of tissue, which are then mounted on slides for microscopic examination. The rotary microtome operates on a mechanical principle where a specimen block is advanced in a horizontal motion against a stationary knife, allowing for consistent section thickness. This precision is crucial for producing uniform slices, typically ranging from 1 to 60 micrometers, necessary for detailed cellular analysis.

Registration – HE 6613Chassis No. – 200315M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 68,412There can’t be many cars that have been in their previous ownership for 87 years and 10 months! Well, ‘HE6613’ has making it a remarkable example from the get-go. Although the Austin Seven was a ubiquitous pre-war economy car, the Nippy seen here, was produced in tiny numbers with just 682 being built between 1934 and 1937. ‘HE6613’ hails form that inaugural year of 1934 and was acquired by its second and current keeper in August 2022. In the current ownership ‘HE6613’ has been recommissioned with new valves, guides and a high compression head fitted. The brakes have been renewed all round and new Brickwood wheels and tyres fitted. ‘HE6613’ is now ready for only its third owner in 91 years.‘HE6613’ presents in gleaming blue and black livery. The blue gracing the diminutive body and the black being reserved for the narrow mud guards and wings. This Nippy specification car is a limited production sports roadster model based on the standard Austin Seven chassis. Charming pre-war details include the polished chrome radiator shroud with vestigial cap emblem, the large externally mounted headlamps and centre hinged, louvred bonnet. ‘HE6613’ is fitted with a black vinyl hood which appears to be in excellent condition. The cabin is remarkably spacious for the size of the car and is nicely finished in navy blue for the upholstery and a more vibrant shade for the carpets. A full width wooden dashboard fascia is fitted with a black, centrally located instrument panel. This is home to a quartet of gauges including the innovative Smiths rotary speedometer. The current keeper rates the paint and bodywork as “good” and the interior as “excellent.”‘HE6613’ is fitted with the later, larger capacity 747cc side valve engine which had been in used since 1924. Being a 1934 car ‘HE6613’ is fitted with the later four speed gearbox with a synchromesh on second, third and fourth. Thanks to the recommissioning recently undertaken this is thought to be a nicely running example of this most British of pre-war people’s cars. The vendor rates the engine as “average,” the transmission as “good,” and the electrics as “excellent.”In summary:· One of just 682 of the Nippy model thought to have been built· Recently recommissioned mechanically and aesthetically· Just two owners span this car’s 91 year history
Registration – PJ06 JVXChassis No. – JMZSE173600139313M.O.T. – NOOdometer – 110,000The innovative Mazda RX-8 is enduring icon of the 2000’s JDM scene. ‘PJ06 JVX’ is an example hailing from 2006 and in UK special edition “Evolve” specification. With around 110,000 miles covered to date ‘PJ06 JVX’ benefits from a good service history and reportedly underwent an engine rebuild in 2015. A few well chosen modifications have been made including racing suspension, a de-cat exhaust and an air pump delete. With a recent service noted ‘PJ06 JVX’ is offered here with no reserve making immediate enjoyment possible. The “Evolve,” UK only special edition was limited to 500 cars only and was easily identified by two specific liveries. ‘PJ06 JVX’ sports the Copper Red Mica colourway which is unusual in itself. A deep front chin spoiler is fitted, and the signature rear “suicide” doors remain a captivating feature of the RX-8 presenting a big, pillarless aperture when all doors are open. This feature also aids easy access to the leather clad cabin. The RX-8 offers practical four-seater GT car packaging with surprisingly spacious rear seats. The high backed front sports seats are heated in this example. The condition of ‘PJ06 JVX’ is rated as “good” for bodywork and interior and “average” for paintwork.A key mechanical differentiator for the RX-8 was the Renesis 13B rotary engine. With a nominal capacity of just 1300cc, the rotary engine was originally rated at 238 bhp in this application. In ‘PJ06 JVX’ this is mated to a six speed manual transmission. Its packaging was innovative, too. The engine sits back behind the front axle whilst the fuel tank sits ahead of the rear axle resulting in a near 50:50 weight distribution and a low moment of inertia. ‘PJ06 JVX’ further benefits from a racing suspension set up, rear Brembo brake pads and an engine rebuild dating from 2015. The vendor rates the transmission as “excellent,” the electric as “good,” and the electrics as “average.”In summary:· A nice looking example of this highly innovative four seater, four door coupe· Plenty of well-chosen upgrades and a good record of mechanical attention
Registration – J503 WKGChassis No. – FD35109678M.O.T. – NoOdometer – 85,000 KM (M 35,418)This beautiful 1992 Mazda RX-7 Efini presents an attractive opportunity to acquire a car that’s been owned by its present keeper for more than 20 years. In that time, it has been garaged and dry-stored for the past eight years, and regularly run to keep it in good health. Built in 1992, it was imported into the UK in 2003, with the vendor being its second UK keeper after acquiring it in January 2004. The V5 is present with this UK-registered car. Being a Japanese car, it is the rare Efini model, part of Mazda’s ‘five channel plan’ that sold cars under five brands: Mazda, Eunos, Efini, Autozam and Autorama. ‘J503WKG’ is resplendent in red paintwork described as being in ‘good’ condition. Inside, it has cream leather upholstery with premium piping, with the interior in ‘excellent’ condition. The vendor adds that the original black upholstery seats are included in the price, as are the original wheels. Crucially, the vendor says the RX-7 itself is, overall, in classic original condition, and hasn’t been modified like so many other examples. They add that everything that’s been done to it has been recorded, including new top gaskets for the engine around a decade ago. It has also benefitted from a new clutch and electric fuel pump. They describe the Wankel rotary engine and five-speed manual transmission as being in ‘excellent’ condition. Being an Efini model, it also has a high spec with all the extras. The odometer reads around 85,000km, or around 52,000 miles. The third-generation ‘FD’ Mazda RX-7 was introduced in 1991. It continued with the Wankel rotary engine fitted to all RX-7, this time wrapped in a beautifully curvaceous and organic body style. To deliver extra power, it had a high-tech sequential twin-turbo system, with one working at low revs and the second in the upper half of the rev range during full-throttle acceleration. Producing upwards of 250hp, this ensured performance was thrilling. A multi-award-winning car, the FD RX-7 boasted world-class handling and is still acknowledged as one of the world’s finest-handling, best-balanced sports cars. · 1992 Mazda RX-7 Efini· Current ownership for more than 20 years· Highly original unmodified condition
