A fine 1/18th scale model of this WWI Royal Naval Air Service biplane, cowled rotary engine, steel deflector blades on airscrew, good cockpit details, one fixed Lewis Gun mounted on fuselage side, finished in grey with RFC roundels, wing span approx. 16" (41 cm.), contained in perspex display case Designed and first flown in 1913, the original prototype was flown by Harry Hawker at Aero Displays and had twin seats side-by-side. A seaplane version of this machine flown by Howard Pixton won the 1914 Schneider Trophy at Monaco. (1)
