FLETCHER. A 10-BORE HAMMER GUN, NO. 2472. 30-inch Parson`s patent chopper-lump damascus barrels with 2 5/8-inch chambers about true cylinder borings, the frame, rebounding bar lock, hammers and rotary underlever engraved with fine scrolls and scenes of dogs and game birds, 13 3/4-inch figured stock with heel and toe plates, 7lb., black powder proof, bores marked and dented. The gun is unusual in having Parson`s patent (201 of 1868) chopper-lump barrels, each tube being stamped with their patent use number and hammer symbol.

A 14-BORE HAMMER GUN, NO. 9411, converted from a muzzle loader 29-inch damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers about true cylinder borings, the frame, bar locks, hammer and rotary underlever with scroll engraving, the breech engraved Wilkinson`s Patent, No. 138, 1866, hammer with linked pins, right hammer missing, 14 1/2-inch figured stock with steel butt plate, 7lb. 6oz., black powder proof
CHARLES LANCASTER. A RARE 12-BORE PATENT FOUR-BARREL HAMMERLESS SHOT AND BALL GUN, NO. 5326. 24-inch damascus barrels with 3 1/4-inch chambers, true cylinder borings, the massive re-coloured frame and rotary underlever with border engraving, retaining all of its renewed hardening colour, Tranter-style double trigger, rotating striker, top strap with safety catch, 15 1/2-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip, 10lb., recent nitro re-proof, in its fitted leather case with reproduction maker`s label. The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1883 for Captain Collier with 24-inch barrels as a shot and ball gun with double cocking trigger. It conforms with Thorn`s Patent 1242 of 1881 covering the rotating tumbler and trigger mechanism. The guns has been extensively refurbished to the very highest standard and was re-proofed for nitro in 2005. It is thought that this is the only example of a 12-bore four-barrel gun that Lancaster built.
