Four Chinese plates, polychrome. Sizes from 6.5 ins to 11.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The small plate has a small chip to the rim and three further small rim nibbles. The smaller of the two polychrome plates is in very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The larger plate has a substantial star crack to the base which is visible on both sides of the plate althoug not so much from the top. The large green plate has a hairline crack running from the underside edge approximately 2 ins into the rim of the plate, this is barely visible from the top surface only from the underside.
A collection of eight early 19th century blue and white plates, three decorated with an Oriental figure with umbrella in landscape. Diameters approximately 10 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The first pagoda plate has a number of chips to the rim the largest being approximately 7 mm x 7mm. Plate no 2 has chips to rim again. Plate 3 has chips to the rim and a hairline crack approximately 2.5 cm in length. Plate 4 has chips to the rim. Plate 5 again has chips to the rim and a hairline crack which runs from the outside edge towards the centre then splits into another three or four branches. The first of the pagoda and figure plates has chips to the rim and the rim of the underside The larger of the chips to the rim measuring approximately 12 mm x 6 mm. The second one has chips to the rim one of which is an old repair and has been crudely restored and measures approximately 13 mm x 4 mm. The last plate has chips to the rim but has also been broken in half and re-glued. There is also another hairline crack running from the outside edge inwards.
120 pieces of Booths Real Old Willow pattern dinnerware, including large tureen, three lidded tureens, eight dinner plates, twelve side plates, fourteen cups, twelve saucers, etc. CONDITION REPORT: The dinner service is generally in good, clean condition. Most pieces being crisp and bright. There is the usual rubbing to the gilding at the edges of some of the pieces which is to be expected. Damaged items are as follows: One large plate has an underside edge chip. One medium size plate is a little discoloured, another is quite badly crazed, cracked and chipped. Both oval open serving dishes are a little discoloured and crazed, one more so than the other. The large circular lidded tureen is a little dirty to the interior and has two internal edge chips to the lid support. The large sugar basin in crazed and discoloured. Four of the small tea cups are chipped and damaged. One egg cup is discoloured. One large cup is chipped. Two saucers have small chips. The teapot has a very small chip to the underside edge of the spout. The coffee pot has a similar small chip. The two circular serving dishes are cracked and badly stained although the lid is in good order. All remaining pieces are in generally good condition with only very minor discolouration and rubbing to the gilding.
A collection of late 19th and early 20th century Oriental ceramics, including Imari bowl, diameter 4.5 ins, polychrome tea bowl, blue and white tea bowl, two handled vase, Imari plate and two polychrome plates. CONDITION REPORT: The polychrome bowl has a 3 inch hairline crack and numerous small chips to the top and bottom edge of the rim. The orange Imari plate is in good condition. The octagonal Imari plate is in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The octagonal Imari plate has two edge chips probably caused by plate hangers. The Cantonese plate is in generally good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The Imari vase is in good condition with no issues. The small Imari bowl is in good order with no issues. The blue & white tea bowl is in generally very good condition with only a very small chip to the underside inside edge of the foot rim which is not of any great significance. The small tea bowl has rubbing to the gilding and various small nibbles around the base of the foot rim.
A Crown Staffordshire tea set, decorated with floral sprays, gilding and pink bands, teapot, preserve dish, six cups, saucers and side plates, two sugar basins and sandwich plate. CONDITION REPORT: There is no damage, repairs, restoration or cracks to any pieces of this tea set. The gilding is also generally extremely good with only very minor rubbing in places.
