He invented a screw cutting lathe and made turret clocks such as those for York Minster. Examples of his work reside in The Science Museum, The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Castle Museum, York Dial- in good condition small minor chip to outer edge, minor scratches only, handle intact Case- Shagreen in good overall condition, minor wear and a tiny split only, gold inner and outer case good Movement- appear to be intact and in good order but running, untested
