Most have some wear to the gilding (mainly cups and saucers).

An extensive 19th century Royal Worcester dinner service with pink borders and gilt highlights, to include soup tureen, vegetable tureens, graduated meat plates, dinner plates, side plates and soup bowls.Condition ReportThere is general wear but overall most are in good condition. Two of the large dinner plates have chips to the underside rim and two others have a hairline crack, thirteen large plates in good condition. The three small oval plates are in good condition, the eight soup bowls are all in good condition and the twelve smaller plates are in good condition. There is a small old chip to the inside rim of the tureen cover and to the inside rims of two tureens, all meat plates in good condition. Some minor wear to the gilding, especially to the outer edges of the pieces otherwise good overall condition.
Shedplate 14A Cricklewood 1935-September 1963. This ex MR shed was home to 90 locos in 1950, but by the time it changed code to 14B it only had around 30 locos left. It finally closed to steam in December 1964. Some diesel locos that were allocated to the new diesel depot, also coded 14A, may also have carried these plates.
Midland Railway 8in fusee oak cased railway clock supplied circa 1900. The wire driven English fusee movement with rectangular plates and shaped shoulders is in clean condition and the Oak case with one side door and a bottom door is in good condition. The original dial has been rewritten by the Doncaster clock works when these clocks were absorbed into the North Eastern region circa 1950 and now displays BR(NE) 16315. The LNER clock records show it was last in use at Leeds Hunslet Lane Goods Timekeepers Office and was previously numbered LMS clock number 8468. In working condition complete with pendulum, key and a copy of the LNER clock record, but not tested for timekeeping.
North Eastern Railway 12in dial oak cased railway clock with a spun brass bezel and a chain driven English fusee movement with rectangular plates supplied to the NER in the last part of the 19th century. The dial is lettered LNER 4485, the case has two side doors and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. The LNER clock records show this clock was last in railway use at Hull East Goods Drypool Station and that it was NER clock number 334, a copy of this accompanies the clock. The clock has been professionally cleaned and restored and is in working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key.
Midland Railway 12in dial mahogany cased railway clock with a spun brass bezel and a chain driven English fusee movement with rectangular frame screwed plates stamped W&H SCH which stands for Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany. The movement has been professionally cleaned and restored. The original dial is lettered BR-W. The case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn and its LMS brass numberplate 10608 is pinned to the bottom of the one piece surround. The clock probably originates from for the area including Gloucestershire, Worcestershire & The Severn and Wye and would have been re written BR-W at Reading after the regional boundary changes. In working condition but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key and receipt for work carried out.
Great Western Railway 12 inch mahogany cased drop dial trunk railway clock with a chain driven fusee movement that has rectangular plates and shaped shoulders. The mahogany case has an 8 piece segmented wooden surround, one side access door present but the right hand side one missing and a bottom door with a lock but no key, the GWR ivorine clock numberplate GWR 387 is screwed to the front of the drop, the spun brass bezel is also missing but the hinge is present so could be easily replaced. The original dial has GWR in block style and SKARRATT WORCESTER ghosted under the GWR and at the bottom. A nice example in original working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1870, originates from South Molton station with a note from the previous owner stating this. Would make a superb clock with a little bit of work.
North Eastern Railway 12in dial mahogany cased railway clock probably supplied by Harrison & Son of Darlington with a wire driven English fusee movement which has rectangular screwed plates. The original dial has had it railway company and number removed but clearly visible on the back of the dial is BR(NE) 5498. The case is in original condition with one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass lock key missing, its also retains its original cast brass bezel. The LNER records show the clock as last being in use at the Norham Station Cabin (signal Box). In working order but would certainly benefit from a clean and not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum, key and copy of the LNER clock record. A nice project.
London & North Western Railway Walnut Bracket railway clock. The large chain driven English fusee movement with screwed plates and London style pendulum rating nut, is in lovely cleaned condition. The well proportioned walnut case with bevelled glasses to all sides, and a serpentine moulding to the base has a rear door with lock and ley and the LNWR enamel clock numberplate 5221 is screwed on the back on the case. The square silvered dial is engraved with the name JNo Walker, 77 Cornhill & 230 Regent St, London and there clock number 6603 ( not be confused with the LNWR number) it has engraved black Roman hour numerals and floral and rococo decoration to the four corners and retains its original blued steel trefoil hands. A superb railway timepiece that would have graced the desk of a senior officer of the L&NWR. In full working condition complete with pendulum and keys. Measures 13in tall x 6.5in deep x 9.25in wide.
GWR 19th Century Locomotive brass Splasher Coat of arms, as fitted to the Dean Singles, it measures 11.5 inch diameter and is in ex loco condition. A wonderful and historic survivor not to be confused with the later Swindon re cast brass plates that were sold in the 1980's, the originals have a hollow back and the paintwork is to a much higher standard.
Nameplate PORT OF LIVERPOOL with separate badge ex British Railways Diesel locomotive Class 47 built at Crewe Works as D1988 in 1966 later re numbered to 47266. Named at Royal Seaforth Dock, Liverpool Euro Terminal in December 1993, nameplates removed in August 2000. Both plates are rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, Nameplate measures 59.25in x 9.75in and badge 12.5in x 6.75in.
A pair of cast iron Carriage builders plates, THE METROPOLITAN CARRIAGE WAGON & FINNANCE CO LTD SALTLEY WORKS ENGLAND 1913 BUILDERS and THE METROPOLITAN AMALGAMATED RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO LTD SALTLEY WORKS ENGLAND 1912. Both recovered from carriages in South Africa and measure 9.5in x 6in. Nicely face restored.
Nameplate PROGRESS with separate MANCHESTER AIRPORT plate ex British Railways Diesel locomotive Class 47 built at Crewe Works as D1626 in 1964 later re numbered to 47045, 47568 and 47726. Named at Manchester Airport Station in November 1995 to mark the 1995 Chartered Institute of Transport conference held at Manchester Airport, nameplates removed in November 2002. Both plates are rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, nameplate measures 52in x 9.75in and Manchester Airport 33.5in x 9.5in.
London & North Western Railway Fletchers Train Describer receiving instrument in good original condition with Ivorine plate DOWN MAIN and Traffolite description plates TO BLACKBURN, TO PRESTON, FROM NEWTON, FROM WINWICK BRANCH, FROM LIVERPOOL and TO L&Y. Stands 9.5in tall and is from the Wigan area.
Nameplate GOLD COAST ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1934 and numbered LMS 5610 and BR 45610. Allocated to Kentish Town, Burton and 17A Derby from where it was withdrawn in January 1964 and scrapped at Derby works, these plates were removed in 1958 when the locomotive was renamed Ghana. In faced restored condition. Rear stamped with one dot indicating this is the left hand side plate. This is the other side to the one we sold back in 2010.

Royal Worcester plates crazed. Some very minimal touch up repairs to the parian figures. Smaller of the two large Royal Worcester vases broken and reglued. One small Royal Worcester bud vase with rim restoration. Spaniels crazed and cracked.
