"97 x 133 cm, abgekantet, dick schabloniert, einziges mir bekanntes Exemplar. Nur an Selbstabholer oder Sondervereinbarung. Hier die spannende Geschichte des Einlieferers in 2 Sprachen: Tiedemanns Tobak og Freia’s sjokoladegutt. PÅ slutten av 1970-tallet ble det åpnet flere nye veistrekning til mindre steder, og jeg var blant de første til å ta de i bruk - kun fordi det var butikke/handelssteder som kanskje hadde gamle emaljeskilt ennå hengende. Sådan oppdaget jeg et postkort fra Gryllefjord på øya Senja, hvor Tiedemann-skiltet hang på en bryggevegg. Jeg kjørte ut dit en vanlig hverdag og kom frem til et sted med rundt 350 innbyggere - hvorav ingen var å se kl. 13:30. Jeg parkerte og ventet en stund, da en klassisk London-kledd herre kom; ikledd svart antrekk med svart vest og bowlerhatt, spaserstokk og en avis brettet under armen. Han så på lommeuret han hadde i vesten og konstaterte at butikkeieren ville åpne kl. 14:30 fordi stedet praktiserte siesta*. Da mannen endelig åpnet butikken, fikk vi straks vite at skiltet ville han ikke selge: Det var det eneste motivet de hadde til postkort på stedet. Men - sa han - loftet er fylt med gamle ting, og jeg brukte resten av dagen med å finne små juveler som jeg bød på, og betalte små beløp for. Noen få år senere hadde jeg et reklameoppdrag for Båtsfjord Havn lengst nord i Norge. Min ide var å bruke Tidemanns skilt (det var reklameforbud for tobakk i landet) med endret tekst: « Båtsfjord Havn - Er dog den beste» blant annet fordi modellen på bildet angivelig var fra området, men mest fordi skiltet var så kjent og kjært for mange. Tiedemann Tobaksfabrikk aksepterte bruken uten krav. Derfor sendte jeg en fotograf ut til Gryllefjord for å bringe grunnlaget til plakatgjengivelsen. Han kunne meddele at eieren hadde skiftet fra trepanel til metallplater på bygget, og derfor kunne jeg få kjøpe det. Få dager senere besøkte jeg det lille stedet med ca. 350 innbyggere og - i det jeg skulle til å betale - åpnet han et skur på brygga og viste meg Freias Sjokoladegutt som han mente jeg også kunne kjøpe. De 3 ½ timene i min Mazda 626 stasjonsvogn var som et eventyr: Bilen formelig fløy etter hver eneste bakketopp med det store Freia-skiltet på taket! Og jeg var så lykkelig som i himmelen! Tiedemanns Tabak und Freias Schokoladenjunge Ende der 1970er Jahre wurden mehrere neue Straßenabschnitte zu kleineren Orten eröffnet und ich gehörte zu den ersten, die sie benutzten - nur weil es Geschäfte/Handelsplätze gab, auf denen möglicherweise noch alte Emailleschilder hingen. So entdeckte ich eine Postkarte aus Gryllefjord auf Senja, wo das Tiedemann-Schild an einem alten Dorfladen hing. Ich fuhr an einem normalen Wochentag dorthin und stieß auf ein Dorf mit etwa 350 Einwohnern - von denen um 13:30 Uhr keiner in Sicht war. Ich parkte und wartete eine Weile, als ein Herr in klassischer Londoner Kleidung ankam; er trug ein schwarzes Outfit mit Weste und Melone, Spazierstock und eine unter dem Arm gefaltete Zeitung. Er schaute auf die Taschenuhr, die er in seiner Weste trug, und stellte fest, dass der Ladenbesitzer um 14:30 Uhr öffnen würde, weil hier Mittagsruhe war. Als der Mann endlich den Laden öffnete, erfuhren wir sofort, dass er das Schild nicht verkaufen wollte: Es war das einzige Motiv, das sie für Postkarten auf dem Gelände hatten. Aber, sagte er, der Dachboden ist voller alter Sachen, und ich verbrachte den Rest des Tages damit, kleine Schätze zu finden, die ich für kleine Summen kaufen konnte. Ein paar Jahre später hatte ich einen Werbeauftrag für den Hafen von Båtsfjord im hohen Norden Norwegens. Meine Idee war, das Tidemann-Schild (es gab ein Verbot der Tabakwerbung im Land) mit geändertem Text zu verwenden: ""Båtsfjord Havn - Er dog den Beste"", unter anderem, weil das Model auf dem Bild angeblich aus der Gegend stammte, aber vor allem, weil das Schild bei vielen so bekannt und beliebt war. Tiedemann Tobaksfabrikk hat die Nutzung sofort akzeptiert. Also schickte ich einen Fotografen nach Gryllefjord, um die Basis für die Poster-Reproduktion zu erstellen. Er konnte mir sagen, dass der Eigentümer des Ladens von Holzbrettern auf Platten umgestiegen war, sodass ich das Schild kaufen konnte. Ein paar Tage später besuchte ich das Dorf erneut und als ich bezahlen wollte, öffnete er einen Schuppen am Pier und zeigte mir Freias Schokoladenjungen, die ich angeblich auch kaufen könnte. Die 3 ½ Stunden in meinem Mazda 626 Kombi waren wie ein Abenteuer: Das Auto flog buchstäblich nach jedem Gipfel mit dem großen Freia-Schild auf dem Dach! Und ich war so glücklich wie im Himmel!
