An historic .36 calibre colt model 1851 Navy percussion revolver owned by the filibuster William Walker, General and self-declared President of Nicaragua, no. 56135 for 1856 with blued 7 1/2 inch barrel with 'New-York City' address, case-hardened rammer, case-hardened frame stamped 'Colts Patent' , blued roll-engraved cylinder, case-hardened rammer, silver-plated small brass trigger-guard, silver-plated grip-strap engraved with the owner's name 'Gen. Wm. Walker, Na. Army.', varnished walnut grip, matching serial numbers, and retaining much original finish throughout (the barrel with a series of small dents on the right about the wedge, the cylinder stops with light wear, the blued and silver-plated finish with scattered flaking, fading and age wear); together with a contemporary unmarked leather holster of pre-Civil War type, probably the original (2) 33cm; 13in

A Meissen figure of a Tyrolean trinket-seller circa 1750 modelled by J.J.Kaendler and P.Reinicke, dressed in a striped swaying skirt and apron with sprays of indianische Blumen, a black laced bodice over a white chemise, carrying an open case with pocket watches, earrings and necklaces faint crossed swords in underglaze-blue 16.5cm, 6.5in. restored For a discussion of this piece and other related pieces see R. Ruckert, Meissener Porzellan 1710-1810, pp.177 and 229, cat.no.942. The author notes that Kaendler's model of this figure was reworked by Reinicke, and that it was occasionally incorporated in large crinoline groups, op.cit. cat.nos. 859 and 860.
A Marcolini Meissen figure group of 'The Secret' circa 1774-1817 modelled by M.V.Acier and J.C.Schonheit as two ladies standing, one resting on the shoulder of the other who is pointing to two birds on the ground before them, to the rear an urn and cover, a bow and a quiver of arrows raised on a column suspended with a wreath of roses, the edge of the oval base moulded with arched lobes heightened in gilt crossed swords and asterisk in underglaze-blue 24.7cm., 9.75in. minor chips, some regilding to base A contemporary engraving of the model is illustrated by T.H.Clarke, Marcolini Meissen Figures, Engraved by Friedrich Elsasser 1785-1792, p.66, no.26.

A Meissen group of gardeners circa 1880 after the model by M.V.Acier and J.C.Schonheit, modelled in the round as a central male figure standing on a mound with a basket of flowers holding a rose to the nose of a young woman standing with flowers in her apron, a young boy below her holds a watering can, beside him a woman is raking leaves, behind her a man is digging with a spade whilst a young girl is sitting with a flowerpot on her knee, the circular base moulded with interlaced gilt circles and ovals of acanthus leaves crossed swords in underglaze-blue, incised D97, impressed 72 30cm., 11.75in. high minor damage A similar model is illustrated in Preisverzeichnis der Koniglich Sachsische Porzellan-Manufactur in Meissen, 1904, pl.18. A Meissen group of five shepherd children circa 1880 modelled as a central girl holding flowers in her apron leaning against a column whilst standing on a rocky mound, surrounding her are two boys and two girls, the boys each with a sheep, one girl resting her head with a dog jumping up at her, the other girl with tools in her hands, the circular base moulded with a formal border of acanthus and rectangular lobes heightened in gilt crossed swords in underglaze-blue, incised G13, impressed 163, painted numerals 56 in black 17.8cm., 7in. minor damage and typical losses A similar model is illustrated in Preisverzeichnis der Koniglich Sachsische Porzellan-Manufactur in Meissen, 1904, pl.2. This group forms a pair with shape number B24.
A fine 1:96 scale model of a 'Daring' class destroyer of the period 1954-69, with moulded fibreglass hull, plasticard superstructure and full fittings including etched brass hand-rails, 49in. long; in 56in. glass display case. NB: Daring class destroyer D106 served with the Royal Navy until 1969 when it was sold to the Peruvian Navy and is still in service.
