Lot 194

1979 Ferrari 308 GT4 Dino Transmission: manualMileage:63000The 308 GT4 was a ground-breaking model for Ferrari in several ways; it was the first production Ferrari to feature the mid-engined V8 layout that would become the bulk of the company's business in subsequent decades and was the first production Ferrari to feature Bertone (rather than Pininfarina) bodywork. The GT4 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in November 1973 and featured angular lines entirely different from its curvaceous two-seater brother, the Dino 246. The styling was controversial at the time with some journalists comparing it to the Bertone-designed Lancia Stratos and Lamborghini Urraco. It finally gained the 'Prancing Horse' badge in May 1976 which replaced the Dino badges on the bonnet, wheels, and the steering wheel. The chassis was based on the Dino 246 but was stretched to make room for the second row of seats. The overall cockpit design was considered futuristic matched by external wind-cheating bodywork. The desirability levels of these Ferraris are quietly ballooning with prices, quite rightly, following suit.Finished in the perfect combination of Rosso Chiaro 599. 5. 190 Salchi with Pelle Sabbia VM 3234 and Alcantara inserts, this example of the V8 308 GT4 Dino presents with beautiful originality. The car currently resides on brand new 16 Superformance original five-spoke design alloys in gold and is currently fitted with a 'quick' steering rack, the original is available with the car as are the original 14 wheels. An original right hand drive UK supplied example, this stunning Dino was subject to Classiche evaluation by Ferrari in 2009 and has been certified ever since. Since purchasing the car in 1985, the second owner had ensured that Graypaul Ferrari of Nottingham cared for the car continuously, earning and ensuring its ongoing Classiche status. Further to this yearly maintenance, Graypaul also bestowed on the car a full engine and gearbox rebuild, with clutch replacement, within the last five years. Complete with a wonderful box full of history including two large folders, Classiche folder, along with Ferrari parts catalogue and workshop manual, the original tools also accompanying the car. You would be hard pressed to find a better example, something Ferrari Classiche can certify to.

1985 Land Rover 90 Transmission: manualMileage:92669The 1985 Land Rover 90 is an iconic off-road vehicle that embodies ruggedness and adventure. This compact 4x4 boasts a timeless design characterized by its boxy silhouette, signature grille, and durable construction. Powered by a range of engines, including diesel and petrol options, it offered reliable performance in various terrains. This impressive Land Rover has just benefitted from a full restoration to the very popular heritage style. The starting point for this work was a solid 1985 registered 90 model that underwent an overhaul of the bulkhead and galvanising of the chassis which was then raptor coated for extra protection and rugged appearance. New brake lines, fuel tank, tow bar and drop hitch were fitted as well as new steering bars, sump guard, suspension springs and shock absorbers and galvanised shock towers. Waxoil was then applied for even greater protection. The body has been fully disassembled, repaired and painted in Atlantic Green, and then painstakingly re-assembled nut bolt and rivet, all catches, hinges, and any other fittings overhauled. All new window rubbers, door rubbers, gaskets and seals were added. The interior was kept as basic as possible but trying to encorporate comfort to, with that in mind a new set of Exmoor trim seat covers were fitted. The specification includes heated front seats, rear fold benches, floor mats, CD player and hidden speaker. It could possibly benefit from a new pair of door cards as they have a few small marks on them from seatbelts. The engine, gearbox and axles have been fully serviced. The exterior of the vehicle is very detailed and features front heritage grille and heritage badge, LED headlights , full LED light kit all round with rear floodlights that we are informed are incredible. The list continues with a set of five wolf steel wheels fitted with a new set of Goodyear wrangler tyres as per factory specification, puma bonnet, chequer wing tops, wing vents, series bezels and a galvanised bumper. A black roof with a sunroof was chosen to make it a little different from the rest. Old style doors with the stronger door handles complete the retro look. With a restoration cost in excess of £25,000 this land Rover deserves serious investigation by any interested party.

1989 Bentley Continental Transmission: automaticMileage:62790A key factor in Rolls-Royce's marketing strategy for the 1980s was the re-launch of Bentley. To rekindle interest in the marque, a glorious name from its past was resurrected - 'Continental' - and applied to the two-door model previously known, like its Rolls-Royce equivalent, as the Corniche. An inspired move, the Bentley's 1984 name change had the desired effect; sales, which in the 13 years since the Corniche's launch had amounted to just 77 Bentley-badged cars, totalling 421 for the succeeding 11 years of Continental production. This superb looking example is finished in dark blue metallic over a magnolia leather trim and is complemented with a dark blue mohair hood covering. The condition of this Bentley is very good throughout, the coachwork is in superb order retaining a deep shine and shows very few blemishes as to the interior which is in fine fettle. Reported to run and drive very well indeed, this Continental has recently been driven circa 500 miles without fault. Offered from a private collection this Bentley comes complete with an extensively documented service history with all keys, books, tools, and is kept in the finest order by our vendor. This rare beast is one of the best we have seen and is an opportunity not to be missed. Interested parties should note that a bespoke leather luggage set has been made for the car and is available by separate negotiation.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description the vehicle details below are correct;Registration number: G573 KOE / Chassis number: SCBZD00AXKCH29277 / Engine number: 68272LL101/9
