A Victorian glass and brass oil lamp by Jones & Willis, 53cm high***CONDITION REPORT***Glass font not cracked but interior thickly-stained with oil; embossed brass label states Jones & Willis Hesperus Star Lamp, (1878 Patent); only two of the triplex wick adjusters connecting with it’s wick; one adjuster marked Hesperus Burner; engraved brass pedestal tarnished but good; a small oval bruise to the black glass plinth at rim, approx. 8x6mm. Glass shade good. One of the brass catches (needed to screw-secure the burner) needs glue to stablise it. PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
