AN ORNATE CARVED GILTWOOD STANDARD LAMP IN CLASSICAL STYLE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY Foliate and overlapping leaf carved stem on winged beast supports 162.5cm high, 20.5cm wide Provenance:Barnwell Manor, NorthamptonshireWindsor House AntiquesCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Surface has been re-gilded. Gilt with wear, chips and losses. The finial which holds the bulb is loose and there are vacant screw holes where it was previously fixed to the main stem of the lamp. Dreweatts cannot guarantee the wiring of the lamp and we advise buyers to have it tested by a qualified electrician before use. Please note as illustrated there is no shade with this lamp. A walnut lamp standard, circa 1930 with faceted column and hexagonal base raised on short feet. CONDITION REPORT: The lamp standard has no shade and is not wired. It is however in extremely good condition with no issues to the veneers. There is no evidence of any woodworm. It is a very colour.
A 19th century cranberry glass brass and glass paraffin lamp, with globe shade. Height 74 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The shade is in good order and free from any significant chips or damage. There are the usual very minor nibbles to the bottom rim. The brass burner surround has a fracture and cracks to the outer edge. There is also a dint. The retaining clips for the chimney are all in good order. There is no wick present. Both wick adjusters appear to turn. The snuffer mechanism seems to operate. The font has several hairline cracks two of which are full height and three of which are smaller. It may not be liquid tight. There are numerous scratches and scuffs to the font. The column itself is in generally good order but does have rubbing and scratches to the cranberry overlay. The base and brass collars are not drilled but are somewhat dirty.
Two Victorian ware and brass mounted oil lamp bases, one with shade. Tallest excluding chimney 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cranberry glass shade has a crack running from the foot rim for about 3 cm. There is also a hole of approximately 1.5 cm square above the crack. The ceramic sections of the same lamp are in generally good order. The reservoir section is a darker colour than the base. All brasswork is tarnished and has lost much of the original finish. There is some crazing to the ceramic areas. The second lamp ceramic sections are all in good order. The same comments apply to the colour of the reservoir. The brassware is similarly tarnished and there is some crazing to the main body.

The shade is in generally good condition and only slightly discoloured. The lamp standard itself is in very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
