In 1899, he opened a workshop for metalwork together with Siegfried Wagner, finding inspiration from Willumsen and contributing to the Danish version of Jugenstil, in particular working with tin and silver and producing lamps and jewellery. His efforts provided inspiration for Georg Jensen and Just Andersen (1884–1943)

Youngs brass oil lamp circa early 20th century with later tinted glass shade and funnel above opaque glass reservoir and corinthian style reeded column on stepped base, overall 70cm highRough patches around top rim of shade. Reservoir free from cracks and chips but paint loss to decoration. Converted to electricity.
Mid-20th century chromed metal floor lamp with beige circular plastic shade in the manner of Harvey Guzzini. Base chrome appears dull with spotting. Surface mark to shade, may clean up as they do not appear to be scratches. Not adjustable, 145cm high. Jug - no visible chips or cracks to top handle. Bottom of handle has side section chipped off.
