A circa 1890 faience oil lamp by Mary Butterton for Doulton Lambeth. Of ovoid urn form, the base painted with daisies on a graduated green ground between stylised floral lappet borders, mounted in gilt brass, with a pierced base and cranberry moulded shade, H56cm (excluding funnel) Condition Report: Appears in a very good condition for its age, no chips, cracks or restoration. Glaze has crazed, metal work is tarnished. Both metal clips to the Hinks collar. Glass reservoir undamaged.
Lot 607
A 19th century pink opaline glass oil lamp. Of baluster form with brass fittings, the reservoir having moulded details, the stand decorated with hand painted flowers and foliage, mounted on a circular plinth. The cranberry glass shade with a fluted rim and moulded texture, 75cm high (excluding funnel) Condition Report: There are knibbles to the rim at the bottom of the shade, there is loss to the enamel and the guilding, small dents and scratches to the brass base.
