(167.5cm.) high. * Provenance: Deasy's country house auction, June 1992 ** Good condition, with no faults.

(47.7cm.). * Glass chimney with cracks to base, easily replaced, otherwise good.

A GILT-METAL 'CELLINI STYLE' EWER MOUNTED AS A TABLE LAMP20th CenturyMounted on a marble base and fitted for electricity, with a large green shade, 68.5cm high; 105.5cm high including shadeCondition report: Re-gilt at some point, with remains of gold paint used to marble base. Some rubbing and tarnishing to spout of ewer and in other minor areas to the body. The turning tap to the upper part of the fitment is redundant. Fitted for electricity, the wire running up through the body and into the base of the marble. Will require re-wiring and PAT testing prior to use. Shade worn with heavy discolouration to the inside.

A Parisian cast iron and copper street lamp,late 19th century, with a castellated top over a glass shade, on scroll supports and a large column base,55cm wide374cm highThis Parisian street lamp, believed to date back to the late 19th century, is a perfect example of the ornate lamps that adorn the 'City of Light'. The distinctive lamps of Paris date back to 1594, when the local police took charge of installing lanterns in each city neighbourhood. This lamp features a meticulously restored original crown top, as well as a recreated glass shade and metal frame. Adapted to suit a modern garden, it has a replacement cast iron period pole which has been reduced in size, and a copper reflector rather than the traditional white, giving a warmer light, perfect for a summer's night.
