Group of metal wares comprising: paraffin lamp, trivet with turned wooden handle, oval kettle, flatiron and stand, together with a pair of field glasses (5) Condition:Paraffin lamp:Bottom width of shade approx: 67mm across (is sitting on some pegs and not flush)No cracks but bottom rim has many nibbling chips.Fount comes off but not screw (see image attached for an idea)…sits in a candle stick.Fount condition is consistent with age, coloured/marked inside (see image).

An attractive floral Doulton oil lamp with bank of white dots round the base and rim. Blue flowers and green leaves on a sand coloured ground. Markings of 'B' (possibly Alice Burlton) and 'c' (possibly Kate J Castle), with lift out font and complete with burner but missing shade and chimney. (approximate height 40.5cm/16")
A Victorian/Edwardian oil lamp circa 1890-1910. Pyramid cast iron base with fine classical detail. Each corner has a mythical lion with flowing mane. The lions have a polished brass ball in their open mouth, in Imperial style. a brass basket holds the glass vessel which has a beautifully "hob nail" cut side and lens cut top. This is a snug fit and is topped with a twin wick Duplex burner and "snuffer" and pieced gallery. An acid etched floral round shade and the correct oval bulge fine glass chimney and an old wick.

Tripod brass base over a cast iron insert weight with three vertical legs supporting a round floral frieze with three Mythical masks, drop in spun brass vessel with early centre draft burner, complete with short original round bulge chimney and a lovely cut glass cranberry shade. Black glass wick winder restored to an as new standard condition. All laquered so never needs polishing

The base could be glass or ceramic with white flowers on a pale blue background, some with gilt highlights, and sits on a cast brass/ bronze foot and under pediment, supporting a cut glass vessel, twin wick burner, a special lift up snuffer and a pierced gallery which holds a delightful but plain round original shade which is etched throughout to give a subdued incandescent light from all angles.
A rare Victorian Doulton Lambeth oil lamp circa 1880 - 1910. Perfect fitting 'drop in' vessel sits into this rare lamp which is all complete and as originally produced by Doulton Lambeth with its green monogrammed round shade which has a small crack at the base. The interior of the base has the original gilding on the spun brass cup and this sits on a heavy gloss black pottery base with fine original gilding. The oil vessel is the original glass one and it has a bayonet collar to receive the 'patent duplex twin wick burner' topped with matching Lambeth green and cream porcelain. A massive heater pulpit oil lamp, circa 1860-1900. Squat base with twin twist steel handles, one each side, on a patterned brass body on four small feet. The large centre draft burner has the spreader inserted and a huge gallery to hold a spectacular cranberry shade which is patterned in a bees wax way. It has a very large round bulge chimney and a beautiful pierced top gallery. There is a very old repair on the brass vessel.

This develops into three branches forming a tripod which holds a finely thumb cut glass vessel that drops in perfectly. A magnificent French porcelain oil lamp circa 1870-1890. Fabulous two-tone green porcelain pillar with graceful swags applique' with gilt highlights, sitting onto a polished cast brass foot in the form of an inverted crown. The vessel is finely cut glass in the 'Lens Cut' manner with 8 pointed stars between each. The twin wicks Hinks type double burner has 2 black glass winders, each engraved with galleons in gold leaf. The snuffer is in place. The round original shade is also finely cut glass with acid etching and has a fine glass oval bulge chimney and an old wick.
