A Victorian Youngs Clissold oil lamp with satin pink reserve. With white and pink striped shade and funnel, all on a splayed foot, fixed to a round base. Total H66cm. Condition Report: Overall in good condition. The funnel and shade both have some small chips to the base. The reservoir has a crack to the top. The structure would benefit from a clean. The colours are bright. Some slight bends to the metalwork. Areas of light scratches and marks to the surfaces consistent with age and usage. Structurally sound with no obvious restoration.
A late 19th century German porcelain oil lamp by Ernst, Bohne & Sohne decorated with monkeys. The reserve decorated with a continuous band of monkeys, the stem with three three-dimensional monkeys climbing on a blue and white tree. Impressed marks EBS 2262 and underglaze blue anchor to base. Topped with a pale blue glass shade. Total H50cm. Condition Report: The shade is overall in good condition with no obvious cracks or breakages. The overall structure is dusty and would benefit from a clean. Large screw in the base of the lamp and there appears to be a 'plugged' one at the bottom of the reservoir, suggesting it may have previously been altered into a lamp. The brass fitting attached to the base of the reservoir has possibly been re-glued on. Some chips to the foliage on the ceramic stand however the monkeys are overall in good condition, one has a hairline crack to a foot, one has a possible chip to the tail that has been overpainted. Some slight areas of rubbing to the gilt. Signs of general wear including scratches and rubbing consistent with age and usage however it is overall in good condition.
A Chinese Famille Noire Porcelain Baluster-Shaped Vase, enamelled with rockwork and flowering branches, now converted to a lamp, 14ins (35.56cm) high, and shadeThis has been converted to electric light. The base, now with wooden stand, has been clearly drilled through to take an electric cable. No comment can be made about the edge of the base as it is now obscured by the stand. Likewise, the rim cannot be described because it now has a metal plate in position, save for a few obvious small scattered flat chips. Apart from the above observations it appears to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration
