An Art Nouveau electroplated table lamp, the design attributed to Gustav Gurschner, the shade manufactured by Loetz, unmarked, with vintage flex, Bakelite on/off switch and Bakelite two prong plug, 45.5cm high. See Alistair Duncan, 'Art Nouveau and Art Deco Lighting' published 1978, p.120 fig.73 for an illustration of an example of this model. For another comparable example see Christies South Kensington, 11th February 2003, Lot 40. Condition Report: Overall very good. (see additional online images) Shade - Very good, very tiny nicks to inner and outer edge of rim. Base - Minor tarnishing and surface wear. Small area of abrasions to edge of foot - approx 2in length. Flex - Wear near on/off switch.
