Two antique oil lamps with metal bases & milk glass reservoirs, together with a spare oil lamp shade & a pair of Satsuma vases (damage) Condition reports are provided on request by email only for this type of auction, otherwise purchase 'as seen'. Condition reports done week commencing January 7th.
Lot 11
A Victorian opalescent glass table lamp, with clear and frosted glass reservoir above an opalescent stem in turn on a gilt metal base decorated with anthemions (converted to electricity). Height including dome 60 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This item has been converted to electricity. The milk glass shade has a very fine 2 cm hairline crack on the bottom rim. The bottom rim also has minor nibbles to the interior. There is an almost rim to rim manufacturing flaw/scratch within the milk glass shade but overall it is complete. There is also a small fingernail size blister mark on the interior of the centre of the shade. The frosted glass reservoir appears to have no issues. The milk glass stem appears to have no obvious issues. The gilding to the metal base is rubbed but approximately 50% intact.

A Rococo style brass five branch gasolier ceiling light, late 19th Century, the rope twist standard mounted with five female masks and surmounted by pulley wheels to the rose supporting five ovoid counter-weights on chains, the branches cast with acanthus leaves and with further masks between, each of the five lamp heads with an amber glass shade, fitted for electricity. 120cm
