A Chinese hardwood envelope card table, circa 1910, the square top enclosing a baize playing surface above a drawer and a dummy drawer to each side, set on cabriole legs issuing from mythical beasts masks and united by an X stretcher, 62cm (24.5") wide Condition Report: Exterior has a few marks and scratches in line with age and usage. Baize lining has creases and a small area of worm damage which extends into the wood below. One inlaid piece of wood to the top is lifting.

Very slightly misshapen on the right hand edge. Various scratches and splits to the central column. Base with general scratches, small veneer losses and further patching. 190113

Top with various natural? fine splits, also starting to smile, particularly the right hand corner. Bleaching/colour loss to the lower section. Repair work and strengthening to two of the legs. 080313

Top with light scratches consistent with age. Very minor marks at each corner. Interior leaves the same colour, highly polished. Base with natural? splits and various veneer losses. 080313
