A near pair of Regency rosewood card tables, each with a swivel top on an octagonal column and four swept legs with brass lion's paw feet, height 72cm, width 91cm, depth 45cm, and height 74cm, width 91cm and depth 41cm.Condition Report: The top of one table is marked, has some sun fading and is warped, the top of the other table equally marked and with two splits to the wood. Both generally grubby with age, wear, losses, marks etc throughout.

The arrow tip in her left hand has been roken off and regilt. Small losses to the lacework.Card player: the three cards in the figure's right hand have been restored, with the restoration beginning to discolour. Otherwise in good condition, minor losses to the lacework.

Anton Wrabetz (1876-1946)Still life of an Oriental jar and cover, and a bowl of mixed Roses on a card table, draped with a green velvet fabric Signed, oil on board, 64cm by 80cmThe composite board is flat and even, but it sits slightly down in the frame and the left side of the top edge is visible below the frame sight. Small damages are visible along this edge, with slightly larger losses of paint and ground at top left and right corners. There are a few other minor losses at the sides assocaited with the frame rebate. There are a few isolated minor drying and brittle age cracks, stable and not elevated. There is a greyish opaque layer over the paint at the lower left edge, not clear what this is. There are also slightly matt/milky brushstrokes - one to the corner of the frame in the centre of the picture and long brushstrokes down the left hand edge - see images in reflected light. A slighly uneven varnish, but fair. A fairly substantial layer of surface dirt/dust and debris including a few minor tiny splashes and surface accretions.

The have now revised the traffic' etc, and other letters similarly dated Mrs Metcalf etc, also letters to W.J Vincent Jnr, various RSS Log Acknowledgement slips to Mr Vincent, a typed list of German 'Q' codes dated 1/9/42, an emergency label 'E L' allowing travel on reserved roads, notes on the secrets act and wireless transmissions, R.S.S Log sheets, lists of marker stations, typed call sign lists, handbooks, radio licences, an H.R.O Receiver frequency table pencil code note book dated 1948, QSL cards for G401 and a small collection of badges mounted on white card all contained in a brown leather brief case. (qty) NB - William John Vincent was a radio operator and code breaker based at a farm in Hampton Lane, Solihull. He would secretly visit isolated locations to listen to, decipher and transmit signals using homemade equipment.
