The front-left leg has a splice repair. Rear leg has a screw repair (as photographed). A screw has also been added to a corner block. Table is structurally sound and useable. Edwardian mahogany card table, rectangular foldover top, the legs joined by carved rails, 56x40cm, height 73cm.Condition report:Sound frame. Some marks and wear to the top surface when closed. Internally the baize is split along the fold line and there is a 5mm gap when fully open between the two halves. Some spot staining and insect damage/ loss to the baize. There is a split to one of the borders of the "bottom" section of the top.

An Aesthetic Movement late 19th century bird's eye maple & amboyna wood veneer card / games table. The table having a rectangular lift up top with chamfered edges and canted corners. The top opening to reveal a felt lined centre with tooled edges. Fitted frieze below, all raised on turned reeded ebonised supports united by X stretcher with central turned finial.From the private collection of psychological illusionist Derren Brown. The table has been used many timed throughout the years by Derren to practice illusions / card tricks. Measures approx. 72cm x 91cm x 47cm closed.
