George III silver wine funnel and strainer, of traditional form with reeded rim and integrated sieve, fully marked, detachable funnel stem, London hallmark dated 1802, mm John Emes, approx 77.9 gms. (*cr). This lot includes a George III brandy ladle, with a George III coin dated 1787, baleen twisted handle with silver finial approx 34 cms in length. (2) Condition ReportSome minor surfaces scratches and nicks as to be expected and commensurate with age and use. The interior of the funnel stem shows signs of early soldering repair to a split (see image), scarcely visible from the outside.
