* A Bottle of Bols Strawberry Liqueur,a Bottle of Martini Bianco, a Bottle of Phillips Pink Cloves Cordial, a Bottle of Phillips Shrub Cordial, a Bottle of Martini Rosato, a Bottle of Mulled Wine 1/2, a Bottle of Monin Blue Curacao Syrup, a Bottle of Briottet Manzana Verde Liqueur, a Bottle of Kruskovac Pear Liqueur, a Bottle of Mainstay Premium Cane Vodka, a Bottle of Bols Elderflower Liqueur and 1 Bottle of Yore Sparkling Mead and a bottle Shrub Old English Alcoholic (5.3% by volum) Cordial 70cl (14) The selection of Bols liqueurs stretch flavours far and wide, but they're also great at making the classics. This Strawberry Liqueur, for example, is jam packed with juicy fruits and subtle citrus touches - just the thing for Strawberry Daiquiris and whatnot. The Martini Bianco is a medium dry vermouth from Martini. This is flavoured with white wine, Alpine herbs and vanilla and is slightly sweeter because of it. First released during the 1910s The Phillips Pink Cloves Cordial is distilled to a secret recipe handed down through the generations, this alcoholic cordial is a great addition to straight Brandy or Rum in the same kind of proportions one would use for a whisky mac. The Phillips Shrub is an alcoholic cordial that was made back in the days of rum smuggling. When salty sea water somehow found its way into the tasty rum, shrub was used to mask the brine flavours. While you're not going to find any rum and sea water cocktails these days, shrub still makes a mighty fine accompaniment to the spirit. The Martini Rosato is a vermouth based on both red and white wine, Martini Rosato is spicy and rich. The Mulled Wine is wonderfully aromatic with bundles of juicy spiced hedgerow fruit, this is a magnifcient Mulled Wine from a small, passionate winery in the heart of the Axe Valley. Warm gently and enjoy on frosty days. The Monin Blue Curaçao is a rather striking citrus-based syrup from French producers, Monin. This is made using dried laraha peels and coloured a dazzling shade of blue. The laraha is like an orange, but green, quite bitter and grown on the island of Curaçao (hence the name). The Briottet Manzana is a stunning green apple liqueur from Edmond Briottet. Manzana Verde has an incredibly fresh taste. It is made with wild apples picked in the Basque mountains The Kruskovac is a Croatian pear liqueur that is often drank alongside desserts The Mainstay Vodka is a South African vodka, distilled from molasses. Mainstay was awarded the Vodka Trophy at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2007. The Bols Elderflower is an Elderflower Liqueur from Dutch liqueur masters, Bols The Yore Mead is Mead, but not as you know it! Honey, water, ancient beginnings and a fresh new look. Yore is an exciting modern twist on traditional mead. Yore has the beautiful flavours and characteristics of a traditional mead brewed to abv 4% and made sparkling, creating a uniquely refreshing drink. (est £100-£180)
* A Bottle of Fernet-Branca Bitters Liqueur, a Bottle of Aalborg Taffel Akvavit, a Bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Liqueur 70cl, a Bottle of Briottet Gingerbread Liqueur, a Bottle of Giffard Poire William Liqueur and a Bottle of Bols Triple Sec Liqueur (6) The Fernet-Branca Bitters was invented in Milan in 1845, these quality bitters are made by fermenting over 40 herbal ingredients in alcohol, before a year of ageing in oak casks. Aalborg Taffel is a classic Aquavit, released in 1846. It has a lovely caraway, citrus flavour, and was heralded as Best Aquavit in the World at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition. Fireball is a fiery and delicious liqueur made with Canadian whisky and cinnamon. Loads of complexity, and it was awarded 87 points by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago. The Briottet is a delicious gingerbread liqueur from Edmond Briottet. Liqueur de Pain d'Epices is great when mixed with ice cream, or you can use it to make a liqueur coffee. Poire William Liqueur from Giffard is made by infusing william pears with Poire William Brandy. This is a natural, fresh tasting pear liqueur, made in France. If you've had even the slightest experience with cocktail making (or cocktail drinking, for that matter), you've likely come into contact with the excellent Curaçao Triple Sec from Bols, potentially one of the oldest spirit brands in the world. Top quality stuff flavoured with orange peels, perfect for a whole host of mixed drinks. (est £90-£180)
* Royer VSOP High Strength Cognac and KWV VS Cape Brandy (2) The VSOP Force 53° expression from the House of Louis Royer in Jarnac is bottled at 53% ABV - rather high for a Cognac! While intense and powerful enjoyed neat, the added 'oomph' behind this VSOP makes it an excellent candidate for Cognac cocktails, as the flavours will stand up and remain distinct when matched with other drinks. KWV Cape VS brandy is a true vision of brandy blending and distillation skills. A South African grape brandy that is blended with other VS brandies and then left to mature in oak barrels allowing the flavours of the various brandies to marry together. This liquid gold emerges a wealth of condensed fruity flavours from the vine, enhanced by mellow spiciness of toasted oak. (Est £50-£90)
