MOMART: A COLLECTION OF ELEVEN 'CHRISTMAS CARDS' featuring artists such as Tracey Emin, Howard Hodgkin, Lucien Freud and David Hockney, years 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 (11) Provenance: Chesil Gallery, Portland. In 1994 the Chesil Gallery hosted an exhibition of the works of Derek Jarman. Momart, the well known Fine Art transportation and storage company delivered the works from London to Portland, as a result, the Chesil Gallery was added to Momart's Christmas card list.

From over 350 Grimm fairytales, Hockney selected 6: "The Little Sea Hare", "Fundevogel", "Rapunzel", "The Boy who left Home to learn Fear", "Old Rink Rank" and "Rumpelstiltzhen". The above lot features in the story "The Boy who left Home to learn Fear"
