A truly exceptional SC Targa with only 37,000 miles from new. Astonishing condition.Stunning 3-litre, right-hand drive, SC Targa in Guards Red with a Pasha interiorPowered by a 180bhp, 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a five-speed, 915 transmission This SC Targa is a true survivor, having lived a sheltered life in Jersey for almost 40 yearsIt has covered less than 37,000 miles and been serviced every few years as requiredOur vendor is known for being particularly fastidious and with the red paint having faded slightly in the Jersey sunshine, he removed the engine, gearbox and seats prior to refreshing the paintworkTo his astonishment, the Guards Red responded to a good clean so the gleaming finish is the original 42-year old  'Factory' paint, the car has not been resprayedIt's accompanied by its document pouch with the usual manuals and service records, correspondence, invoices and MOTs etcThe 3-litre SC was a great car anyway but at this low mileage, in such sparkling condition and on offer at 'No Reserve', this is a remarkable opportunity. This sparkling SC Targa lived happily in Jersey up until 2020, followed by Southport until recently, and the effect of years of sunshine in the Channel Islands was very much evident in the Porsche's Guards Red paintwork. Our vendor, who has vast experience of modern classics and is known to be particularly fastidious, assumed that the car would need to be repainted before sale so the engine, gearbox and seats etc. were removed prior to the inevitable respray. To his surprise, having started to clean it, the factory paintwork had remained in top condition under the dull red haze. The car was professionally cleaned and carefully gone through mechanically with amazing results as you can see from the images. The current indicated mileage is 36,980 and the car's History File is very interesting. It includes the factory wallet which contains a service book showing dealers (in period) as well as a letter directly from Porsche explaining that the space-saver spare wheel does not conform to current UK directives (in 1979) and them not being true radials. As such the car came with 12 months recovery and free puncture repair within the UK and Isle of Man but not the Channel Islands!! There is an accountants receipt from 1990 for £17,500, detailing the sale of J12077 to a Mr K Pinel with a statement that the car had first been registered to that plate on 7/5/1980 at a mileage of 18,900. There are a couple of receipts from Porsche Centre Jersey in 1991, a 1997 Porsche Club GB Membership relating to Miss Worrin, an insurance valuation for £12,000 in 1999 stating the mileage as 26,500, and a service invoice dated 2001 from Jersey Garage ( Five Oaks) at 28,213 miles. In 2004, ownership appears to have transferred to a Mr Lebacle who paid £741.44 to Oakhurst Garage for a service at 34,503 miles. He subsequently sold the car to a gentleman in Southport in August 2020.In factory paint with a smart black and white 'Pasha' interior, this is a very desirable 3-litre, SC Targa that could occupy pride of place in any collection of early 911s.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911Year: 1979Chassis Number: 91A0130580Registration Number: PVL 430VTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 36980 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black and Grey PashaClick here for more details and images

Lot 334

Offered directly by Mike Brewer and soon to feature in the TV Show " The Grand Tour".A marriage of Citroen and Maserati led to the birth of a highly individual coupe - the SM was a two-door, four-seat Coupe powered by a 2670cc, Maserati, four-cam, 90-degree V6 producing 180bhp at 6,250rpm, all fed through the front wheels. Complex and innovative; the suspension was Hydropneumatic and the steering was variable-assist hydraulicThis 2.7 SM was purchased by Mike in a sorry state a few years agoThe car was completely stripped prior to a full restoration and well-respected Nathan Bovington and his family at Paragon in Northampton were key players in the projectParts were sourced from all over the world and even manufactured if they weren’t availableWhen finished, it was superbly painted in Vert Argent by Gary at Cosmetic AutocareThe SM's first public appearance was on stage at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham to much applauseIt subsequently won a Concours d'Elegance trophy at the National Citroen event and was used by Jeremy Clarkson for a future 'Grand Tour' episode Begun in 1961, 'Project S' emerged from Citroen's requirement to develop a sports variant of the revolutionary DS. As was customary for the quirky French firm, many running concept vehicles were developed with increasingly complex and upmarket features to differentiate the 'sports' project from the popular DS. The acquisition of Maserati by Citroen in 1968 was motivated by the possibility of harnessing Maserati's high-performance engine technology to produce a true Grand Tourer, combining the sophisticated Citroen suspension with the power of a Maserati V6.The result was the Citroen SM, which was first shown to rapturous appreciation at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970. It went on sale in France in September of that year in left-hand drive only, although right-hand drive conversions were later offered in the UK and Australia. The SM was Citroen's flagship vehicle, competing with other high-performance GTs of the time from manufacturers such as Jaguar, Lotus, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo and Porsche. It was also Citroen's way of demonstrating just how much power and performance could be accommodated in a front-wheel drive design. As an example of Citroen's optimism and progressive technology, the SM was untouchable, and similarities drawn by pundits of the day to the design and futurism of aircraft such as Concorde cemented the love affair still borne by car aficionados today. The SM EFI was a two door, four seat coupé powered by a 2670cc, Maserati, four-cam, fuel-injected, 90-degree V6 producing 180bhp at 6,250rpm. all fed through the front wheels. It was capable of 0-60 in around 8 seconds and had a top speed in fifth gear of 140mph. Suspension was 'Hydropneumatic' and the steering was 'variable-assist' hydraulic. Everything about the car was complex. Many of us have admired the Citroen SM over the years and occasionally wondered what it would be like to own one without ever being brave enough to 'dip our toe in the water'. Wheeler Dealer Mike Brewer also shared this curiosity but the difference is, he jumped in 'feet first'. In Mike's own words;"Years ago, I was offered a very beaten Citroen SM, damaged on almost every panel, the engine in bits, it was a mess, but I have a deep fascination for the SM and its one of my must have cars so I bought it. The job of restoring such a complicated car can’t be done alone, and I’ve always said you have to choose your partners carefully, so I put a call out on the Citroen SM Owners Club and asked for experts to dig in and help me push this build.Thankfully I found the best in Nathan Bovington and his family at Paragon in Northampton. They helped me with the strip down, engine removal and parts sourcing. Parts were found all over the world, we even had parts manufactured as they weren’t available. Fortunately, around the corner from Nathan’s garage is one of the finest painters in the UK – Gary at Cosmetic Autocare. I asked Gary to deliver the best Concours paint job he could muster on, frankly, a car that never looked like it would be straight again.Once done, we presented the car on stage at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham. I remember when it drove on to the stage, there were audible gasps coming from the audience. It was an amazing feeling and the car then went on to win the Concours d'Elegance at the National Citroen meeting, so its fair to say it’s very nice car."Mike has now decided to reshuffle his collection and the SM was not being used on a regular basis so, reluctantly, he has decided to let it go. It's a well known car amongst SM enthusiasts and show goers and will be even better known when it airs on the small screen being driven by Mr Clarkson in a future 'Grand Tour' episode. This is a remarkable example of the rare SM, sympathetically restored and visually stunning. In Mike's own words "Whoever buys this car will have a car that’s been lovingly nurtured back to full health by an enthusiastic team of skilled craftsmen who made its temporary owner incredibly happy". .SpecificationMake: CITROËNModel: SM 2.7Year: 1972Chassis Number: 00SB8915Registration Number: MHV 700LTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 107268Drive Side: Left-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 38500 MilesMake: LHDInterior Colour: Brown LeatherClick here for more details and images

A special opportunity to acquire this remarkable one-off designed by Ant Anstead and his team at Dowsetts Classic Cars.Dowsetts Classic Car Company is the new trading name of the company formerly known as Evanta whose superbly built creations we have been privileged to offer in the pastThe Comet is built around a steel spaceframe chassis which is clothed in GRP reinforced with Kevlar to create a shell that is strong yet lightIts unique looks echo the classic lines of sports racers from the fifties and early sixties without becoming a pastiche of any one modelThey are entirely bespoke enabling potential owners to create exactly what they wantComet 02, on offer from its first owner, is powered by a General Motors LS3 V8, coupled to a Tremec 5-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differentialIt's finished in Porsche Crayon Grey, not an obvious choice for an evocative 6-litre fifties-style sports car but in execution, truly successfulIt sits on a set of alloy wheels that, like everything else about this remarkable car, are Dowsetts-designed and unique in the proper sense of the wordClad in red quilted leather, the car's interior reflects this same design philosophy and every nook and cranny appears to have been thought about and created to be special, and it is. Full harnesses, white-faced dials, a Moto-Lita wheel, turned aluminium stubby short-throw gear lever, satin-finished stainless details and embossed leather. Really impressiveWhilst Ant was naturally focussed on developing the car's dynamics, handling and road-holding etc., our vendor planned on using the car regularly so spec'd it with air-conditioning, Sat-Nav, a radio and a reversing-camera Having covered only 2,500 miles, a recent back injury means that our vendor sadly must now part with '02It's very sensibly guided and is now available at around half its build costHere at Silverstone Auctions we are pleased to have been able to help Ant Anstead and his passionate team at Evanta bring some of their fabulous fifties and sixties Aston Martin re-creations to the market. Evanta has recently morphed into the Dowsetts Classic Car Company and now stands proudly on its own design ethos building unique sports and GT cars, whilst still capturing the essence of the 1950s and ‘60s.Their current project is the Comet which, like other Dowsett models, is built around a bespoke steel spaceframe chassis. This is then clothed in GRP reinforced with Kevlar to create a shell which is strong yet light and, importantly, is suitable for limited production runs where tooling might otherwise be prohibitive. That said, it’s not a simple process, taking over 50 different mould tools to make the panels for a single Comet. The car’s shape is unique, in the proper sense of the word, but most viewers familiar with classic cars will identify references and styling cues that could well have come from legendary sports cars of the period, however, that was not intentional. Dowsetts’ Darren Collins comments “There are bound to be certain similarities. If you’re taking inspiration from a particular era, there are only so many ways in which it can be done. We’ve created something new, but there are clear nods to the era it evokes.” The second production car, Comet 02, on offer here from its first owner, is powered by a General Motors LS3 V8, coupled to a Tremec 5-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differential. It's finished in Porsche Crayon Grey, not an obvious choice for an evocative 6-litre fifties-style sports car but in execution, truly successful and it sits on a set of alloy wheels that, like everything else about this remarkable car, are Dowsetts-designed. Clad in red quilted leather, the car's interior reflects this same design philosophy and every nook and cranny appears to have been thought about and created to be special, and it is. Full harnesses, white-faced dials, a Moto-Lita wheel, turned aluminium stubby short-throw gear lever, satin-finished stainless details and embossed leather. These cars are totally bespoke and whilst one owner may prefer a hard-edged Mille Miglia-style sports racer with no creature comforts, the buyer of ‘02’ planned on using the car regularly so spec'd it with air-conditioning, Sat-Nav, a radio and a reversing-camera. He was only able to enjoy some 2,500 miles in 02 before a recent back injury makes driving it really difficult. He has asked us to include a few words.“As I explained I got involved with Ant Anstead over four years ago and on visiting his workshop spotted the Barchetta (open top early version of the Comet) and fell in love with it. Ant had by then started work on the Comet and I agreed to buy number two – the first having already been purchased off plan by another client and is now in America with Ant who is trying to fit an electric motor in it so mine is still the only road going Comet in the world! The car is basically the dream car of Ant, mixing an Aston Martin front with a Ferrari back and some Lotus in the middle. Constructed much like the original AC Cobras squeezing a huge 6.2-litre Chevy engine into a bespoke, hand-built lightweight body. I spent many happy hours up at the workshop watching the car come together and worked with Ant and his team to specify some of the “luxury” additions not previously planned for the car (air conditioning, radio, sat.nav. and reverse camera) Ant looking to focus more on the performance and the track cred aspects of the car which I am pleased to say he achieved and then some! I have some personal photos of the build process for anyone interested and Dowsetts can provide more.I took delivery of the car after it had finished full road testing back in December 2018 but shortly after I injured my back requiring surgery. My back is now okay but I find the Comet too low and with a fixed seat I just cannot get comfortable and so have come to the difficult and sad decision to sell the car and let someone else enjoy it.”The Comet will be available for viewing prior to our NEC sale and we strongly urge interested parties to come and have a close look at this remarkable motor car.Click here for more details and images

The legendary Superblower, number 1 of just 22 (7001), only 6,100 miles and simply stunning."Yes. It's a real Cobra! "Number 1 of 22 Superblowers built between 1997-2001 by the AC Group in Brooklands Hand-crafted aluminium bodywork superbly finished in Stratos Silver and Porsche Ruby RedPowered by a 5-litre (302ci) Ford V8 producing 326bhp/375lb.ft. 0-60 in 4.5 secsFabulous interior in Oxblood leather, with deep red carpets, Smiths cream-faced instruments and a Moto-Lita steering wheelOptioned with Perspex sun-visors, colour-coded boot carpet, Mohair full tonneau, leather half tonneau, factory hood and side screens, headrests, chromed-brass stone guards, side wind-shields, Moto Lita steering wheel and a custom-made dust cover6,100 miles over 24 years in the hands of its 3 owners corroborated by every MOT From four years current ownership. MOT until September 2022 issued with no advisories. Our vendor has generously agreed to leave the Cherished Registration 'R50 COB' with the carThe arrival of the Cobra MkIV in 1983 heralded a new era for AC with the Hurlock family passing on the rights to the marque to Brian Angliss, who had been building Autokraft Cobra replicas for years, using much of the original ’60s tooling. Now officially badged AC these cars were lauded for their high levels of build quality and retention of the original’s spirit. Of course, AC was a very different company by then and despite healthy order books and enthusiastic owners, especially in the USA, it was beginning to struggle financially. Original 5.8-litre (302cu in) powered cars were a little bit disappointing on the performance front, but AC soon launched a lightweight version, which restored the balance somewhat. However, Angliss' tenancy of the company didn't last long, his relationship with Ford was a little ‘bumpy’, and by the 1990s, he had thrown in the towel and the company had passed on to new owner Alan Lubinski. In 1996 the company was purchased by Pride Automotive and two new 'Cobra' style cars were launched in 1997, the 'Superblower', an aluminium-bodied car with a supercharged 4,942-cubic-centimetre (301.6ci) Ford V8 providing 326bhp and the cheaper 'Carbon Road Series' (CRS) with a carbonfibre body and a 225bhp version of the Ford V8 engine. A total of 22 Superblowers and 37 CRS models were built between 1997 and 2001 as confirmed by the 'AC Car Group'. Silverstone Auctions are delighted to be able to offer this striking AC Cobra, one of the most recognisable sports car profiles in the world. It's one of just 22 supercharged 'Superblower' models hand-built in sheet aluminium by skilled English craftsmen at AC Car Group in Brooklands using some of the original factory tooling. It's logical to assume that #ACSB 7001 was probably the first 'Superblower' finished considering its 1997 registration date and the fact that the other Superblowers that we have seen are somewhere between 7001 and 7022.The car is powered by a supercharged 5-litre (302ci) Ford V8 producing 326bhp/375lb.ft. and offering 0-60 in 4.5 secs and 155mph. This power is fed through a 5-speed manual Borg-Warner T50 box to a 3.31 final drive. It's superbly presented in gleaming Silver with twin stripes in Porsche Ruby Red enhanced by colour-coded, polished-rim Halibrands with 3-eared knock offs, a chrome roll hoop, chrome nudge bars, riveted bonnet air-scoop, chromed brass stone guards, Perspex sun-visors, side wind shields and a classic 'Carroll Shelby Motors' US-style number plate holder. The interior is equally impressive with Oxblood leather, matching carpets, Smiths cream-faced instruments in a silver panel and a bespoke Moto-Lita steering wheel. It's supplied with a Mohair half-tonneau, a leather half-tonneau, Factory hood and side screens, a fire extinguisher and a fitted indoor dust cover. Our vendor is the Cobra's third owner and the indicated mileage of a tad short of 6,100 miles is corroborated by the 18 MOT Certificates in the history file. It's taxed and MOT'd until September 2022 and our vendor has generously agreed to leave the Cherished Registration 'R50 COB' with the car. An AC leather Mont Blanc wallet contains all the information and relevant paperwork on the car from new. This is a beautiful motor car in lovely condition, it's very rare and, importantly it's a REAL AC Cobra. Having travelled quite a lot in, somewhat agricultural, early cars and enjoyed trips in various replicas some well engineered and some a lot less so, the single question that always awaits whenever you stop is "Is it a real one, mate". But in this case, instead of having to explain that it's a 'Dipstick Mark 3' or whatever, the undoubtedly enjoyable response will be "It certainly is". A left-hand drive, German-market, 996 GT3 with only 74,105km from new.On offer from private ownership, an homage to the iconic livery of the German PolizeiIt's basically a standard 996 GT3 with the graphics and lights etc. fitted by its owner355bhp, 3.6-litre engine, communicative chassis, superb brakes, perfect control weighting, precise steeringThe famous Polizei cars were modelled by Corgi Toys and Scalextric74,105km from new. Graphics easily removable leaving a very attractive, low mileage GT3Intended primarily for competition, although still fully road legal, the Porsche 911 GT3 can trace its ancestry all the way back through a succession of high-performance models to the legendary 911 Carrera RS of 1973. The car takes its name from the FIA's GT3 category of production sports car racing and has been produced in a variety of versions since its introduction in 1999 when the GT3 badges were applied to the Type 996 iteration of the perennial 911.The 3.6-litre flat-six engine, though, departed from mainstream Type 996 practice by virtue of its water-cooled cylinders, leaving only the heads cooled by air. Called the 'Metzger' engine after its designer, Hans Metzger, this unit was closely related to that of the Porsche 962 'Sports Prototypes' and the 911 GT1 racer. In the GT3 it produced 355bhp, 59 horsepower more than in the standard 996, which was delivered to the wheels through a strengthened gearbox boasting interchangeable ratios. To make the GT3 fit for circuit use, the brakes, suspension, and wheels were uprated to cope with the substantial increase in performance, whilst aerodynamic downforce was enhanced by a larger front air dam and a distinctive rear spoiler. Weight reduction extended to the removal of the rear seats and most of the sound deadening, rear speakers, sunroof, and air conditioning, though the latter could be ordered as an option, as could a CD/radio. In its original Type 996 incarnation, as seen here, the 911 GT3 was produced up to 2006.Offered from private ownership is this homage to the iconic livery of the German Polizei. Police forces around Europe have famously used performance cars as a way of raising the profile and effectiveness of policing public roads and the Germans were no exception, in fact, their distinctive livery became a 'brand' with both Scalextric and Corgi producing models which sold throughout Europe. This particular, left-hand drive, 996 GT3 was purchased privately and graphics applied together with lights to emulate the famous police 911s. What began as just a bit of fun actually became a tool for a UK Police Force to promote young driver awareness courtesy of the owner at the time. This GT3 has travelled just 74,105km and, should drawing attention to yourself not be 'your thing', then the graphics and lights can easily be removed and the car returned to a very attractive, low mileage Porsche GT3.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911Year: 2000Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99ZY5691356Registration Number: V313 TAWEngine Number: 63Y01813Click here for more details and images

An absolutely stunning example of the coveted 3.3-litre 964 Turbo. In current ownership for 16 yearsExtensive history and expenditureLimited use in recent years, kept for dry days onlyFastidious ownershipFollowing the roaring success of the 930-era 911 was always going to be a challenge for Porsche, though with the 964 of 1989, it’s safe to say they not only met, but exceeded their expectations.Representing a significant redesign over the preceding generation, yet retaining trademark 911 styling cues such as the classic sloping front end and iconic side profile, the Carrera 4 and Carrera 2 models were introduced in 1989 and 1990 respectively, with an air-cooled M64  3.6-litre flat-six engine. Interestingly, the 964 era was the first 911 generation to offer the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 model in the lineup, and also the first to employ the automatic Tiptronic transmission as an option for those looking for a more relaxed driving experience.Further updates over the 930 included the fitment of power steering and ABS as standard, signifiant revisions to the suspension setup with coil springs and shock absorbers replacing the torsion bar setup of its predecessor, and the front and rear bumpers were integrated with the body shell for improved aesthetics and aerodynamics. With the success of the C2 and C4 models came the introduction of the coveted Turbo model in 1990, offering all of the aforementioned 964 upgrades, but featuring a revised version of the 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six engine found in the 930 Turbo due to Porsche not having enough R&D time to implement a turbocharged version of the M64 engine seen in the C2 and C4. Nonetheless, the engine had been significantly upgraded and fettled to sit within buyers expectations, with the result being a power output of 316bhp.This particular 964 Turbo is an early 3.3-litre, UK-delivered, C16, sunroof-fitted car finished in Guards Red, a colour which is not only synonymous with the 911 Turbo, but also suits the flowing lines of the 964 very well indeed. In the care of its current owner for an impressive 16 years, this 964 Turbo has been the recipient of extensive work throughout its lifetime, and has covered less than 6,000 miles within the last 10 years, as evidenced by the MOT history.Within the history folder is a reassuring quantity of OPC and Porsche Specialist invoices, pertaining to both service work and minor maintenance carried out on the vehicle, with the earliest invoices dating back to 1999, and the stamped service record stretching back to when the car was new.Whilst in its current ownership, the car has been serviced semi-regularly, and highlights of other work carried out include the following:Upgraded Bilstein/H&R supensionFront seat re-trim to factory specification, with new carpets fitted throughoutNew sunroof seals and stone guardsNew front discs and rear tyresIn addition to the above, the car has also been resprayed in its factory Guards Red paintwork to a very high standard during 2007, and remains in excellent condition to this day thanks to a combination of fastidious ownership and low mileage covered since the paintwork took place. Offering the opportunity to obtain a highly coveted yet usable example of the classic 964 Turbo finished in arguably one of the best factory colour schemes available, this 1991-registered example benefits from long-term ownership and an impressive history folder, and will appeal to collectors, enthusiasts and drivers alike.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911Year: 1991Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ96ZMS471886Registration Number: J547 JFMTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 61M02901Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 90261 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Linen LeatherClick here for more details and images

The diminutive 914, fully restored and sparkling in Sunflower Yellow. The Porsche 914 (also called the 'VW-Porsche 914') was a joint effort between the two companies to produce a modern sporting car to replace the four-cylinder 912 This is a delightful, fully restored example of the last affordable air-cooled PorscheComprehensive history file covering the car's entire backstoryRestoration included an engine rebuild, new interior and upgraded 1974 alloy wheelsMechanical works completed by experts Williams Crawford and Roger Bray RestorationsFull photographic record of the restoration to its original period colour of Sunflower YellowBy the late 1960s, both Volkswagen and Porsche were in need of new models; Porsche was looking for a replacement for their entry-level 912, and Volkswagen wanted a new range-topping sports coupé to replace the Karmann Ghia. At the time, the majority of Volkswagen's developmental work was handled by Porsche, part of a set up that dated back to Porsche's founding. Volkswagen needed to contract out one last project to Porsche to fulfil their end of the deal, and decided to make this that project so Ferdinand Piech, who was in charge of research and development at Porsche, was put in charge of the 914 project. It was originally intended to sell the vehicle with a flat-four cylinder engine as a Volkswagen and with a flat-six engine as a Porsche, however, Porsche decided during development that having both companies sharing the same body would be risky for business in the American market, and convinced Volkswagen to allow them to sell both versions as Porsches in North America. On March 1, 1968, the first 914 prototype was presented, however development became complicated after the death of Volkswagen's chairman, Heinz Nordhoff, on April 12, 1968. His successor, Kurt Lotz, was not connected with the Porsche dynasty and the verbal agreement between Volkswagen and Porsche fell apart. However, in the end it didn't really matter and over the seven years of the model's life, the 914 would outsell the 911 and eventually find over 118,000 homes.Presented here we have a charming, well restored Porsche 914 finished in striking period Sunflower Yellow with a Black interior. The body plate confirms it was built at the Karmann factory in Osnabruck West Germany in January 1974 and the comprehensive history file provides a complete timeline through to various Porsche magazine features in 2020.This story begins with the car being delivered to Porsche of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. The comprehensive accompanying history file notes that the final US owner was Mr. Ewbank, who as a younger man had been a test driver for Porsche USA. The plan was to completely restore the 914 but ill health prevented him, and his wife ended up selling the car (letter on file with a copy of US Title).RRT 141M was first registered in the UK in 1996 and owned by a Mr. O’Rourke and his family for the next 12 years. It was under the ownership of the next owner, a Mr. Nie, that the Porsche finally got the restoration it was promised  including a full bare-metal respray in its original seventies colour of Sunflower Yellow. The works included a new interior, new wiring harness and new upgraded (1974-stamped) alloys. There are receipts detailing all the other work undertaken in the truly impressive history files which also includes a full photographic record  of the renovation. An enormous amount was spent at 'Raw Speed' engine builders to increase the capacity to 2000cc but retain the original engine number(013124). Further mechanical works have been completed by Williams Crawford and Roger Bray Restorations and full details of this are in the file alongside multiple invoices, two magazine features and a full album of photographs.914s are now the last of the affordable air cooled Porsches and combine period charm, uncomplicated engineering and versatile fun motoring. The engine was enlarged to a 3.4-litres incorporating 964 camshafts, racing valves and tensioners and now produces 250bhp (the class limit for his chosen championship) with engine build costs alone in the region of £25,000. It has a fully welded-in cage, Bilstein suspension and JZR double adjustable race dampers and is smartly presented in Black with Red Carrera CS graphics. The original Fuchs wheels (7 and 8 inch x 15 inch) are colour-coded red and wear a set of Toyo 888Rs.The car is currently UK road-registered opening up the possibility of track days, hill-climbs or even road rallies but whatever you choose, this well-prepared SC is likely to be very competitive.NB .. Over the years the 911 has received numerous aerodynamic and safety-inspired add-ons, diluting the purity of the original form, however, the Type 993's arrival marked a return to basic principles, being recognisably a 911 but one in which all functions had been harmoniously integrated in a truly outstanding example of modern automotive styling. The range offered remained pretty much as before, comprising conventional two-wheel (Carrera 2) and four-wheel drive (Carrera 4) models, the legendary Turbo and the Cabriolet convertible, all powered by the latest, 3.6-litre version of Porsche's perennial flat-six engine. The Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet and Targa models (2WD) were available with a 'Tiptronic' four-speed automatic transmission. On offer from its one lady owner with circa 12000 miles from new and in truly outstanding condition throughout, this Metallic Black, UK-supplied C16, Porsche 911 (993) C2 with an exquisite Biscuit interior has clearly been cherished from day one and cannot be confused with the many average examples on the market today. An impressive service history details continual main dealer involvement alongside an unquestionable MOT record with the present certificate being current until the 1st February 2022. It was most recently serviced in May this year which included a Porsche 111-point check and the fitting of four new tyres due to age and not wear! An increasingly desirable modern classic with unrepeatable provenance that will be difficult if not impossible to replicate, it is quite simply outstanding and, pleasingly, the very appropriate Cherished Registration Number, M1 POC will remain with the car. Your search may well be over. Please note that the current recorded mileage is 6844, our client believes that there was a speedo fault in 2003 at circa 5,400 miles necessitating a speedo change with the recorded mileage zero' d  at that time, amounting to the circa 12,000 miles covered from 1st date of registration as stated above.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 C2Year: 1995Chassis Number: WPOZZZ99ZSS313643Registration Number: M1POCTransmission: TiptronicEngine Number: 63551826Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 6000 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Tan hideClick here for more details and images

A simply stunning collector-quality example in a fantastic colour combination and specification with just 656 miles from new.343bhp 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six engine substantially re-engineered by the 'M-Division' mated to a 6-speed Getrag gearbox that takes power to the rear wheels via a variable-lock LSDIncredible to believe this car is now 20 years old – ‘as new’ condition with showroom delivery mileageRemaining in secure storage whilst the owner went to Spain for 19 years having then covered just 640 milesThe original bottle of champagne is in the boot from the supplying dealer along with all keys, key rings, hardtop roof, wind deflector, book-pack and the SupaGuard protectionUpon being rediscovered, the car went to BMW Vines of Gatwick for an inspection, full (1,200 mile) service, recommissioning and recalls for road useFastidiously stored and maintained ever since, this car is as healthy as it is originalA decade after the Golf GTi had turned the sports car concept on its head and shown that a hot hatch could be as dynamic as a roadster, BMW brought out the now iconic M3 E30 in 1986.This homologation special was only meant to help the company win Touring Car races, but it started a whole new genre and added excitement to the BMW range that it couldn’t do without. The E36 M3 of ’93 was accused of being more of a marketing tool, a tad unwieldy and overweight, but the E46 was designed to address that. The M3 E46 took the hearts of real sports car fans by storm when it launched in 2000. With a low weight construction and the high-rev concept of its inline 6-cylinder engine, for many it embodied a return to the virtues of the M3 E30. The following year, a convertible E46 M3 followed, combining a sporty experience and the luxury of open-top driving in an unprecedented way.Priced on a par with the Porsche Boxster S, the E46 M3 was streets ahead in performance, challenging the much pricier 911 and Audi RS4. Stiffened, wider-tracked with big wheel arches and a massive front spoiler, it packed a 343bhp 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six engine substantially re-engineered by the 'M' division. A six-speed Getrag gearbox took power to the rear wheels via a variable-lock limited-slip diff, developed with GKN. All cars were officially limited to 155 mph, although Autocar’s test model happily topped 160 mph.Modern technology meant that ABS, switchable Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control and Traction Control systems were standard. It sounded brilliant, too. "The grunty rumble from the quad exhausts at idle gives way to a serrated wail as the straight-six climbs to its redline," enthused Autocar magazine.Aluminium was widely used to keep weight down, for the bonnet and brake calipers as well as suspension components, though the car still ended just a bit heavier than its predecessor thanks to a high level of standard equipment inside the opulent leather-clad interior. As a package, it was a triumph – the original M3 grown up.The car presented here must be seen to be believed. It is a 2001 BMW M3 (E46) Convertible with the more desirable manual gearbox, which has covered just 656 miles from new! Read that again. Can there surely be another like this?! It is incredible to believe this car is now 20 years old – ‘as new’ condition, including the smell, with showroom delivery mileage.Remaining in a high-quality garage whilst the owner went to Spain for 19 years (having then covered just 640 miles), it was discovered by our vendor through a mutual connection. Not believing his eyes, and before it was even started up, the car was trailered straight to BMW Vines of Gatwick for an inspection, a full (1,200 mile) service (invoice is in the history file), recommissioning and manufacturer recalls (including airbags and engine bearing cap replacement) for road use. After this, fitted with a new BMW battery, a new fuel pump and some fresh fuel, its straight-six engine was awoken.Amazingly, the original bottle of champagne from the supplying dealer was in the boot, plus the car was found to have all keys, key rings, hardtop roof, wind deflector (unopened), and book-pack.Fastidiously stored and maintained ever since its discovery by our vendor, this car is as healthy as it is original. One for the BMW collector, this amazing car is in possibly the best colour combination for an E46 of Carbon Black paintwork and black leather interior, plus a big specification including Harmann Kardon HiFi, electric memory seats, heated front seats. 19″ polished alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, cruise control, climate control and parking Sensors. A manual DMC-12, US-delivered to the first owner of 37 years and just 463 miles from new, still shod with original factory tyres.Manufactured in 1983 and registered in Illinois, Michigan on 11th October 1984 to a Mr Belden who owned the car until 2020Documentation supplied by our vendor confirms the low mileage and the car is on a NOVA with duties settledThe DeLorean DMC-12 was developed in collaboration with Lotus legend Colin Chapman and the manual variant is highly sought afterThe odometer reading is just 463 miles (atoc) and the car remains shod with its original tyresPresented to auction with copy Title Document and copy signed Notarised Declaration of Mileage dated 24th June 2020An historically significant motorcar and one of the lowest mileage examples of the DeLorean DMC-12 in existenceWhilst the term “iconic” is conferred frequently and often without merit, we are just and correct in bestowing the title to the DeLorean DMC-12. Instantly recognisable it was the brainchild of ex-General Motors executive John De Lorean, perhaps one of the most controversial motor industry figures of all time. The Belfast based factory was established with £100 million of funding from the British Government under an agreement forged by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with the support of US President Ronald Regan in order to help the Northern Irish economy suffering from decades of sectarian violence. The DeLorean Motor Company story is a unique entry in the annals of the motor car industry, and the DMC-12 is one of the most recognisable cars of the 20th century. Launched in 1981, the DMC-12’s stylish coupé body attracted international attention by virtue of its method of construction, a combination of fiberglass inner panels, a stainless-steel outer skin and innovative gull-wing doors. The underpinnings were engineered under the guidance of Lotus founder Colin Chapman. Competing with Porsche and Ferrari, sales never approached projected levels and DeLorean's 1982 indictment on drugs charges, he was subsequently acquitted, brought the project to its knees. The DeLorean is now seen as highly collectable, thanks in no small part to the 'Back to the Future' movie series, and manual examples are very sought after. This remarkable example was manufactured in 1983 and registered in Illinois, Michigan on 11th October 1984 to a Mr Belden who owned the car until 2020, confirmed by copy title documentation from the State of Illinois, stamped exported on the 10th September 2020. A Declaration of Mileage was signed by Mike Davis of Davis Chevrolet, Illinois, Michigan and stamped as notarised on 24the June 2020. Mr Davis confirms that he personally knows the vendor and has known the car from new, since its purchase in 1984, and he confirms the then mileage of 457 miles. We must note that documentation and declarations of this type for US-imported cars are seldom seen and confirms not only the diligence of the first long-term owner but highlights the historical importance of this car. In 2019, a service was carried out that reportedly included an oil change and replacing the fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel lines. Supplied to auction in a condition that is commensurate with its current 463 miles, at the time of cataloguing, on a NOVA and ready to grace a domestic or international collection of historic motor cars. A rare, UK-supplied, right-hand drive example of Porsche's legendary 356C.A rare UK-supplied, right-hand drive example of the legendary 356CBuilt on the 20th of January 1965 and UK-registered on the 1st of April 1965Originally finished in Bali Blue with black leather and registered to AFN Ltd. as a demonstratorOptioned from new with an OAT gauge, oil pressure gauge, St Christopher medallion, radio and speakers, lap seat-belts, Hella fog lights and headrestsThe second owner was a Mr H J Garland who owned the car right through until 2019, using it frequently up until 1980 when it was dry storedEngine sent to Germany for a rebuild at this time. Only around 400 miles sinceRepainted Orange and then latterly treated to a coat of Ford Anchor BluePurchased by our vendor in 2019 and gently recommissioned; fuel system, brakes, electrics, ignition and all fluids Supplied with a Porsche CoA and the original number plate will remain on the vehicleWidely acknowledged as Porsche's first venture into motor manufacturing, the 356 was a lightweight and nimble rear engined, rear-wheel-drive, two-door sporting car available in hardtop coupé and open configurations. Over a 15-year production period, the 356 evolved from an aluminium bodied coupé with an 1100cc air-cooled flat-four engine, to a proper sports car with a 2,000cc four-cam Carrera engine producing 130 bhp.At first glance, the 356C, introduced in mid-1963, differed little from the prior 356B since it continued to use the T-6 body type which had arrived in 1962. Porsche, however, brought the 356 concept to its zenith with the 356C, which was available in coupe and cabriolet form. The new 356 also benefited from the addition of Dunlop four-wheel disc brakes as standard, a higher-lift camshaft for the 1600cc engine, new flat-face hubcaps, and deeper bucket seats. These seats came courtesy of Porsche's acquisition of Reutter, which included the future Recaro subsidiary. 356 production peaked at 14,151 cars in 1964 which was the first year the new 911 model went on the market. Porsche did, however, continue to sell the 356C in North America through to the end of 1965. In 2004 the US magazine 'Sports Car International' named the 356C number ten on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s. Today the Porsche 356 is a well-regarded collector's car that has stood the test of time and worldwide, thousands of 356 owners maintain the tradition, preserving their cars and driving them regularly. This particular car, MMU 95C, is a rare example indeed being a UK-supplied, right-hand drive car manufactured on the 20th of January 1st 1965 and registered on the 1st of April 1965. It was originally finished in Bali Blue with a Black leather interior and registered to AFN Ltd. as a demonstrator, and there is a sales record from AFN confirming the details. Chassis 131867 / Engine P.813597 / Ignition/door key K302 / Gear lock Key FE63 and Glove Box Key GZ365. The AFN stock number was 4.027.135 with registration number MMU 95C. The car was optioned from new with an outside air temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, St Christopher medallion on the glove box, radio and speakers, lap seat-belts, Hella fog lights and head rests. The second owner was a Mr H J Garland who owned the car right through until his passing in 2019 and used it frequently up until 1980 when it was stored on blocks but regularly had the engine turned over. Mr Garland also decided to have the engine rebuilt at around the same time and this was sent off to Germany to be done and the car has only covered 400 odd miles since it was returned and refitted. He had the car painted Orange during his ownership and then latterly back to Ford Anchor Blue, an attractive hue which it still displays today. There are details within the file of work carried out by AFN, relating to services and some body repairs, (front near side wing ) the requirement for which is detailed in a book “From Chain Drive to Turbocharger, The AFN Story” by Dennis Jenkinson, page 176 at which point the Porsche was being driven by John Aldington of AFN when the accident occurred.Since our vendor has owned the car (2019) the 356 has been totally recommissioned to including the whole fuel system, brakes all refurbished with calipers and pads being replaced and all fluids changed . Electrically the car has been gone through making sure all items work and the ignition system has been overhauled at the same time. It's supplied with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and the original number plate will remain on the vehicle. This little Porsche has lived a life. 55 years with its second owner, a couple of colour changes and numerous adventures during the Sixties and Seventies, however, gently recommissioned and with a fresh MOT it's now ready to live some more..SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 356CYear: 1965Chassis Number: 131867Registration Number: MMU 95CTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 8135971Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 50672 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Recent new batterySupplied with its original book pack including the stamped service record, tool kit, tyre inflator, a large folder of invoices, old MOT Certificates and its current MOT valid until 28th January 2022A rare, collectable, genuine Turbo S,one of 77, on offer from a meticulous private collectorThis UK-supplied, right-hand-drive Porsche 944 Turbo 'S' is classically finished in Guards Red and was first registered on 1st August 1988. The smart interior is in black leatherette with a black and white, 'pin-stripe' velour and interestingly, the 'Sport' seats were deleted in favour of electric, heated comfort seats. Another interesting option on this Turbo S is that the car was ordered with a request for the M44.51 engine as opposed to the M44.52 that would normally have been fitted to this model year, perhaps opting for the earlier unit without the spring-loaded cam-belt tensioner. Today, this special and rare 944 Turbo S presents beautifully with a detailed maintenance record. Indicating just 89,186 miles (at the time of cataloguing) with just four previous owners, it's clear to see by looking through the history folder that this example has been very well maintained over the years. Indeed, the previous fastidious owner, bought the 944 in 2017 and sent the car to the local Porsche main dealer in Wolverhampton for a full check over and the subsequent work included fitting the correct M030 sports shock absorbers, a full brake service, a short shift gear lever kit and an uprated gear linkage with a final invoice for £2,700.00.A little later, the car was taken to the Porsche specialist CMS in Telford for further maintenance and this included a new throttle position sensor, cable and fuel pump. To enhance the car's performance, a refurbished KKK turbocharger was fitted along with an ECU update taking the power output up to a claimed 290bhp.In May 2021, the current owner sent the 944 to Midland Classic Restorations and spent £1,400 on new oil, filters, routine maintenance etc (invoice and details on file) ensuring that the car is ready for its next owner to use and enjoy. Offered with its original book pack including the stamped service record, the tool kit, tyre inflator, a large folder of invoices, old MOT Certificates, its current MOT valid until 28th January 2022 and other related documents. Only 1,000 examples of the Turbo 'S' were built in total with just 77 in RHD and only a handful in Guards Red so this is a very good opportunity to take ownership of an interesting and rare Porsche from the late 1980s. Revered for excellent handling, these transaxle models are becoming increasingly collectable and are difficult to source in such fine condition.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 944 TURBO SYear: 1988Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ95ZJN101634Registration Number: F21 HGSTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 47J01444Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 89186 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Only 4,600 miles from new, impeccable service history, recent health check and immaculate throughout.Presenting superbly in Carrara (marble) White with a black interior and lightweight bucket seatsProducing some 370bhp from its 3.8-litre flat sixShort-shift, 6-speed manual gearbox, mechanical LSD, Porsche Torque Vectoring systemJust 4,600 miles only from new and two previous keepersOriginally supplied by Porsche Centre Aberdeen who took care of the first service in December 2017 at 1,412 milesSecond service by Porsche Centre Solihull in August of this year at 4,553 miles (£1,399). At the same time the car had a full health check and passed with flying coloursSupplied with a complete book pack and stamped service bookThe Boxster Spyder is the most extreme version of Porsche’s 981 Boxster, lighter by 30kg, longer by ten millimetres and lower by 11mm when compared with a Boxster GTS. The front end is more aggressive in its design and there are distinctive streamlined humps behind the roll-over hoops (a tribute to the 718 Spyder of the 1960s). Suspension is the 20mm lower, passive Sports set-up that is also a no-cost option on the Boxster GTS. There is a Sport Chrono package as standard, the most notable benefit of which is the provision of dynamic transmission mounts. On the rear axle is a mechanical LSD (22 per cent locking under power and 27 per cent on the overrun), which is part of the Porsche Torque Vectoring system. The Spyder’s 3.8-litre engine is a mildly detuned version of the one found in the Cayman GT4 and the 991 Carrera S. Power is 45bhp up on a Boxster GTS and torque is up a healthy 37lb ft, taking the total to 310lb ft. The steering rack is slightly quicker (taken from the 911 Turbo) and the steering wheel is 360mm in diameter, like the GT4 and GT3 RS. Finally, the look is not forgotten with the addition of a very elegant but sporty one-piece double-dented rear hood. This jaw-dropping example has covered a mere 4,600 miles from new and has had just two former keepers with our vendor having the car since July last year and only looking to move it on due to problems with personal mobility. Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Aberdeen who took care of the first service in December 2017 at 1,412 miles with the next service being completed by Porsche Centre Solihull in August of this year at 4,553 miles all receipted for £1,399 At the same time the car had a full health check and passed with flying colours.Finished in Carrara (not Carrera) White with a Black interior, this fabulous 981 Spyder comes with a full Porsche presentation pack including Service Book, Owners Handbook, Communication Management Book and a Radio Equipment reference leaflet. Being the later Spyder, it has the improved convertible top which takes but a very short while to drop down as opposed to the original jigsaw puzzle of the earlier cars. With the 981 benefitting from the 911's 6-cylinder powerplant, performance is on a whole different level making it a true drivers' car capable of speeds up to 180 mph. This may be one of the best examples available on offer currently and with just 4,600 miles from new, very collectable. A truly fabulous example of the SuperSport Coupé from long-term ownership. This 1986 SuperSport is a C16 (UK-supplied) right-hand drive car smartly presented in black with a grey leather and pinstripe cloth interiorSupplied new by Dick Lovett specialist cars of Marlborough to its first owner, a Mr David Greening of Cheltenham on the 01/01/1986Owned by our vendor for an incredible 32 years and just three previous keepersSupplied with the original book pack containing the Owners' Handbook and stamped Service Book with ten stamps, 11 old MOT Certificates and some early invoices for work undertakenLast serviced in September 2020 at Brookfield Garage, specialist Porsche Centre, StowmarketThese are rare 911s and, when fitted with the 5-speed G50 gearbox, are real drivers' cars. At this mileage, in this condition and with excellent provenance, this example could well turn out to be a very sensible investment.Development of the Porsche 911 Targa proceeded in line with that of its closed coupé cousin, the most notable advances immediately prior to the manufacture of this 1986 model having included the introduction of the 3.2-litre engine for 1984. Although it remained an air-cooled 'flat six', the '3.2' was 80% new and incorporated an effective cam-chain tensioner and associated lubrication system that at last addressed a perennial 911 shortcoming. With 230bhp on tap, the new 'boxer' motor endowed the Carrera with a stunning level of performance, the bald statistics being a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 152mph. Although it enjoyed a 52 horsepower advantage, the Turbo was only marginally faster, having a top speed of 157mph, while most considered the normally aspirated 911 Carrera easier to drive. For the increasing number of customers that coveted the Turbo's distinctive 'wide body' look but did not need its marginally superior performance, Porsche introduced the SSE package, also known as the Supersport, which could be specified for other models in the 911 range. In addition to the wide body, the SSE (option code M491) included the Turbo's spoilers; suspension; four-piston brake callipers; 16" forged alloy wheels; and low-profile tyres. Only 75 right-hand drive examples were delivered to the UK making this model very rare indeed.Looking very smart in Black with a classic eighties 'pinstripe' interior, this is one of those 75 right-hand drive examples and is on offer from 32 years long-term ownership, one of the family! It was supplied by Dick Lovett Specialist Cars of Marlborough to its first owner, a Mr David Greening of Cheltenham on the 1st of January 1986 and had two further keepers until 1989 when our vendor became the last owner. The car has been garaged throughout this period, apparently never been taken out in the wet and has been well cared for both mechanically and aesthetically.D540 UOD is supplied with a complete book pack containing its handbook and the service book displaying ten stamps, the last being in September of 2020, completed by Brookfield Garage a specialist Porsche Centre in Stowmarket. To back up the service book there are a number of old invoices and 11 old MOT certificates within the file. This is a really desirable 'M491' in a great colour and with lots of provenance. UK-supplied to the first of just two owners covering 9,130 miles between them and serviced only at Porsche main dealers.A facelift Carrera 2 supplied by HR Owen Hatfield in Arctic Silver to the first of just two registered keepersWith a larger 3.6ltr engine than the earlier 996 model with updated lights and bumpersAluminium touches on the handbrake lever and Tiptronic selector as well as Porsche-branded stainless-steel door entry guardsThe odometer reading of 9,130 miles (atoc) is complemented by a service history at only Porsche main dealersThe history file includes purchase paperwork, correspondence and invoices totalling more than £6,000The original owner’s book pack also accompanies the car, including PCM manual, tracker handbook and Porsche assistance handbookPresented to auction with a fresh MOT, two keys, aforementioned detailed history file and now ready for its next adventure. The 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between 1998 and 2005. On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Progressively stringent noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and a high-performance, four-valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core. The Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001 bought the most significant changes to the 996. Inaddition to a more powerful 3.6 litre engine and styling changes to the existing model range, therewere two new models – the C4S and Targa. Visually, the main change to the Carrera 2 and 4 was to the front wings and lights, incorporating those from the Turbo model which was introduced in 2001. This gave it a noticeably different front-end look to the Boxster, as it was a common comment that they looked too similar. The front and rear bumpers were modified to give a ‘skirt’ effect around the bottom edges, giving them a slightly more aggressive appearance. Engine capacity was enlarged from 3387cc to 3596cc and there was a resulting power increase from 300bhp to 320bhp at 6800rpm. Maximum torque was up from 258ft/lb at 4600 to 273 ft/lb at 4250rpm. Supplied by HR Owen Hatfield in Arctic Silver with black leather interior to the first of just two registered keepers who between them have covered some 9,130 miles, at the time of cataloguing, and returning to Porsche main dealers for servicing. A beautiful 356C Coupé presenting well after a restoration in the US and significant further investment with UK marque specialists.Stunning, US-delivered, left-hand drive 356 C Coupé restored in Tennessee from 2014-17 with invoices totalling over $31,000Superbly finished in its original striking paint colour of Sky Blue with a well detailed tan leather interiorAfter an engine issue, our vendor invested a further £25,000+ with a highly regarded UK marque specialist to have the car right up to standardAccompanied by a detailed history file including COA, US restoration invoices, invoices for the engine rebuild and further overhaul by UK marque specialistsNow beautifully detailed, mechanically sorted, absolutely on-the-button and ready for the next chapter Offered here is a beautiful US-delivered, left-hand drive Porsche 356 C which according to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity was manufactured in August 1963, finished in Sky Blue and fitted with engine number 820059. It appears that at some point in the cars history, as with many 356s, the engine has been changed with a period-correct unit. We are informed that the car was subject to a documented restoration in Tennessee between 2015-17 and invoices amounting to $31,000 relating to this are in the file. It was refinished in its original paint colour of Sky Blue and fitted with a nicely detailed Tan leather interior. After being imported to the UK, the 356 developed an engine issue and our vendor took the decision to send the car to a highly regarded UK-based, Porsche 356 specialist who commenced a schedule of works to have this example just right, both mechanically and aesthetically. Further invoices within the file document an engine rebuild and mechanical overhaul addressing steering, suspension and braking systems along with another visit to the paint shop for a fresh coat of Sky Blue, bringing this 356 close to this expert's acknowledged high standards (only a full in-house restoration would meet the full standards). As such, this example is now beautifully detailed, mechanically sorted, absolutely on-the-button and ready for the next chapter.Accompanying the car is a history file including the aforementioned restoration invoices with a full breakdown of all work completed, the current V5c and other related documents. On test the car fired into life with ease, sounded healthy and performed well.In summary, this is a great opportunity to take ownership of a Porsche 356 in left-hand drive, its purest form, in a striking colour combination with recent care and attention from the UK’s leading marque experts. An attractive and characterful classic that sits just right, is on its toes and ready to be enjoyed.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 356CYear: 1963Chassis Number: 126301Registration Number: LKK 529BTransmission: ManualEngine Number: TBCDrive Side: Left-hand DriveMake: LHDInterior Colour: TanClick here for more details and images

Lot 530

A UK-market (C16) supplied ‘Sport’ model, in a great colour combination with good history. On offer from the Estate of the late David Ham, the very well-respected Jaguar enthusiast and gentleman racerSought-after UK ‘Sport’ model which came with Fuchs alloys, front lip spoiler, 'whale-tail' rear spoiler, Bilstein Sport shock absorbers and Sports seats, plus spec’d with a sunroof, rear wiper and passenger wing mirrorRecipient of a top-end engine rebuild within the last 10 years, accompanied by lots of paperwork for maintenance and parts, supporting the indicated 102,000 miles (still just 2,500 per year)Only two owners in the last 27 years, previous owner kept the car 16 yearsIn rare Wine Red Metallic paintwork with a Pasha fabric interiorA fantastic entry into the enjoyable world of 911 ownership. The arrival of the 3.0-litre 911 SC in the 1978 model line-up brought some semblance of order to the Porsche range after the mid-seventies. The middle of this decade was a period epitomised by the once-maligned "impact or big bumper' models, and when launched, the SC looked modern, clean and fresh in comparison to the dated overall appearance of the original 911, now over a decade old. With new and innovative design features like the reflective red strip between the tail-lights with PORSCHE capitalised across it, the '78 cars looked altogether sharper.According to Porsche Club GB, the 911 SC is a "landmark 911" because it was the first Porsche model developed to appeal to a wider market than just existing 911 enthusiasts. It is the model that launched the 911's reputation for excellent durability and build quality. Two factors above all else contributed to that reputation - the use from 1976 of a fully zinc coated steel bodyshell and the adoption of a normally aspirated version of the Turbo's more robust 3.0-litre aluminium engine. The earlier 2.7-litre unit had been recognised as being at the limit of its development and the new Type 930 engine reset the design parameters for the flat-6's development potential. The move to an aluminium engine was to regain case reliability, something missing for many years with magnesium. Combined with the well-proven Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 gearbox it became a very flexible, torquey powerplant. Originally power output was 180bhp, later 188bhp and then by MY 1980 it was increased to 204bhp (with improvements in economy), good for 146 mph.In 1984, due to enduring demand for the 911 (the 928 still having made no impact on 911 sales) the SC’s replacement, the 911 3.2 Carrera, was introduced, but not before SC sales totalled a remarkable 58,914 cars. The car presented here is a UK-supplied RHD 1980 Porsche 911 SC Coupe. It is a UK ‘Sport’ model, this being the most sought-after variant with the larger Fuchs alloys, front lip spoiler, 'whale-tail' rear spoiler, Bilstein Sport shock absorbers and Sports seats. This particular car was also spec'd with the options of a sunroof, rear windscreen wiper and passenger wing mirror.According to our vendor, the car has had just two owners in the last 27 years, being bought by David Ham in 2012; and knowing good cars like he did, this example is likely to have many redeeming qualities. It has benefited from a top-end rebuild and there is lots of evidence of servicing/maintenance over the years. There are some small areas of minor corrosion (below o/s headlight, along seam between scuttle and o/s front wing and small bits in door shuts) but the important areas, we are informed, are all sound.Frequently offered at a tempting guide price, the SC model has been somewhat of a ‘sleeper’ 911 but is now tipped by many to gain the recognition it deserves, particularly the well-specified 'Sport'. Whilst this classic 911 would benefit from some light cosmetic attention, it could undoubtedly be enjoyed as it is, with many years of classic 911 motoring ahead of it. SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 SCYear: 1980Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ91ZBS100400Registration Number: WTT 835Transmission: ManualEngine Number: 63D6858 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveClick here for more details and images

A striking example of the "original" 911 Turbo with just 32,340 miles, remarkable.A cracking example of the earlier 4-speed 3.3-litre, flat six 911 TurboFinished in Guards Red with a striking black and red Leather interiorJust 32,340 miles from new with its four keepers, the third for 34 yearsSupplied with its original complete book pack, lots of old MOTs and tax discs along with some old invoicesWith 930 Turbo prices still gathering pace. This could prove to be an enjoyable and sensible investmentMuch of the Porsche 911's development had resulted from the factory's racing program, and it was the period Group 4 homologation rules, which required 400 road cars to be built, that spurred the development of 'Project 930' - the legendary 911 Turbo. In production from April 1975, the Turbo married a KKK turbocharger to the 3.0 litre Carrera RSR engine, in road trim a combination that delivered 260 bhp for a top speed of 155mph. In 1978 the Turbo's engine was enlarged to 3.3 litres, gaining an intercooler in the process; power increased to 300bhp and the top speed, of what was the fastest accelerating road car of its day, went up to 160mph. But the Turbo wasn't just about top speed, it was also the best equipped 911 and amazingly flexible, hence only four speeds in the gearbox, being capable of racing from a standstill to 100mph in 14 seconds! The Turbo's characteristic flared wheel arches and 'tea tray' rear spoiler had already been seen on the Carrera model while the interior was the most luxurious yet seen in a 911, featuring leather upholstery, air conditioning and electric windows. More refined than hitherto, yet retaining its high performance edge, the Porsche 911 Turbo sold in the thousands, becoming the definitive sports car of its age. This excellent original, right-hand drive 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo was supplied new by Porsche AFN Guildford originally as a demonstrator and then onto its first owner, a Mr Keith Ross of Croydon on the 6th of June 1985. The second owner, a Mr Peter Simon, then became its custodian in November 1985 and enjoyed the car until May 1986 when Mrs Ann Sterling took over the reigns and held them until September 2020 an incredible 34 years. Classically finished in Guards Red with a rather striking Black and Red Leather interior, this stunning 911 Turbo has travelled just 32,300 miles from new making this car super desirable. It has been stored on and off for many years and has documentation to prove this and the MOT history shows 23 old certificates documenting the miles this special car has travelled. Also within the file are 15 old tax discs, a complete book pack and a selection of old invoices detailing servicing and maintenance over the years. Our vendor, who runs a specialist body repair shop, had the car totally recommissioned including all new discs and pads, fresh fluids and a set of Pirelli period tyres fitted making this Turbo spot on and ready for sale. Despite no legal requirement, it will come to the sale with a fresh MOT just prior to it being delivered for peace of mind. This super low mileage Turbo represents a wonderful opportunity to own one of these iconic German coupes and with the market for 930 Turbos continuing to gain strength we are delighted to offer this spectacular classic supercar that could well prove to be a sensible and enjoyable investment.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 TURBOYear: 1985Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ93ZFSOOO333Registration Number: B556 CVHTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 67F00360Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 32340 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black and Red LeatherClick here for more details and images

UK-supplied and 1 of only 100 right-hand drive Turbo Cabriolets; just 46,000 miles with a comprehensive history file. The 944 Turbo Cabriolet combined the Turbo S' 250bhp engine with the strengthened cabriolet body built by ASC at WeinsbergOnly 625 were built, with just 100 examples produced in right-hand drive for the UK, Japanese, Australian and South African marketsA very original UK/C16 example, with a fully verifiable 46,000 miles, in standard specification, with a full-service history, all old MOTs, a complete book pack, two keys and virtually every invoice from newMajor service on the 20th October 2021 including belts, all fluids changed and a comprehensive inspection by a well-respected Porsche SpecialistFrom 17 years long-term ownership, a simply lovely example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Porsches from the 1990sFollowing the international success of their nimble 924, Porsche designed an all-alloy, 2.5-litre, inline-four for their new 944 which they planned to introduce in 1982. Their talented engineers were able to produce a very smooth running four-cylinder engine by utilising two counter-rotating balance shafts running at twice engine speed. These carry eccentric weights which produce inertial forces that balance out the unbalanced secondary forces, all a bit technical but the result is a large four-cylinder engine that feels as turbine-smooth as a six. Cosmetically, the 944's bodywork was revised with wider wheel arches (similar to that of the 924 Carrera GT), a fresh interior and upgrades to the brakes and suspension. With greater visual presence and the performance to match, better handling, stopping power and more creature comforts, the 944 was a natural step forward. A 'turbo' version of the 944 was always on the cards, and the forced-induction boosted the 2.5-litre engine by a healthy 60bhp, necessitating an upgraded clutch and gearbox. The chassis was further developed and thicker anti-roll bars and four-pot brake calipers were fitted to deal with the significantly increased performance. Externally, a smoother nose panel and a larger rear spoiler distinguished it from its lesser siblings. In February 1991, the final year of 944 production, Porsche released the 944 Turbo Cabriolet which combined the Turbo S' 250bhp engine with the strengthened cabriolet body built by the ASC-American Sunroof Company at Weinsberg. Compared to the Coupe, the Cabriolet's windscreen is lowered about 6cm and raked back to reduce the wind noise when the top is down. Porsche initially announced that 600 would be made, but ultimately 625 were built, with just 100 examples produced in right-hand drive for the UK, Japanese, Australian and South African markets. These are rare cars, produced for just one year, with only 32 examples believed to still reside in the UK.This particular example is a UK-supplied, matching numbers car, presented in Graphite Metallic over a perfectly contrasting Dark Blue leather interior. It has covered just 46,500 miles from new which, over its 30 years of life, means that it has averaged just over 1,500 miles per year. The car is supplied with a fully detailed service history, with its most recent service carried out by ‘Zuffenhaus Porsche’ in October 2021, less than 250 miles ago. In addition, all the original manuals are present, alongside countless invoices and previous MOTs all helping corroborate the indicated mileage and emphasising how this lovely Porsche has been cared for on a 'no expense spared' basis. On offer from a private collection, this beautiful example presents delightfully both cosmetically and mechanically. With this era of Porsche on the rise, this rare 944 Turbo S offers a phenomenal driving experience, coupled with what may well be a worthwhile investment.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 944 TURBO CABRIOLETYear: 1991Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ95ZMN130478Registration Number: J950 OPMEngine Number: 47M01186 Odometer Reading: 46000 MilesMake:Click here for more details and images
