1979 Porsche 911 SCRegistration no. PB2 9178Chassis no. 9119302495Mileage: TBAMoT: TBA *Engine re-built 30,000 miles ago*New exhaust system*Good history We are delighted to offer this 911 SC, which comes to Bonhams in vendor-declared very good condition bodily and interior-wise. It left the factory in May 1979 with extras including electric windows and mirrors, headlamp washers, rear wiper and cruise control. The vendor ranks bodywork and paint, trim and glass as very good and the wheels/tyres as good. Panel fit is straight and the bumpers are scuff-free. The interior – black leatherette with pinstripe velour – is very good, as is dashboard and door cards, the carpet excellent and the headlining is rated as good. The engine was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago and its starting and running is noted as excellent, the engine bay presentation as very good. Our vendor also says the gearbox and clutch are very good, the brakes, steering and suspension being excellent. The history file is good. Here is a well-presented example of a late 1970s 911, and with re-built engine and new exhaust system is worthy of the most serious of consideration.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 36/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. 1959 Porsche 218 StandardRegistration no. N/AChassis no. TBAOdometer Reading: 0MoT Expiry: Exempt *Highly useful*A must for the serious Porsche collector*Sensibly estimated Porsche's taste for technology took an interesting sideways step with its tractor range, which used an air-cooled two cylinder 1.6-litre diesel engine. MPH's example comes to market in very good condition, showing very good bodywork, paint, wheels with new tyres and tubes. Body panels were given a re-spray (to the tune of £2000) in the correct Carmine Red/Ivory scheme, with a new bonnet, badges and related fittings added. Other work includes a new exhaust, wiring loom and lights as well as a steering wheel and gauges. Said to starting, running and driving well courtesy of new fuel lines, glow plugs and an oil change, it would be a useful addition to any classic Porsche collection. Please click the link to view the walkaround video of this lot: click hereFootnotes:Vendor Score Total: 74/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. 1988 BMW 635 CSIRegistration no. F828 MLTChassis no. WBAEC820508187873Odometer: 230700MOT: 01/11/2020*Good Example*Comes with MoT*Good Service HistoryThe 6-Series remains a favourite not only with dedicated BMW enthusiasts but those who appreciate a true latter-day grand tourer. Hailing from the same era as Jaguar's XJ-S and the Porsche 928, the '6' more than amply followed in the wheel tracks of its E9 3.0CSi predecessor, winning loyal followers across the globe. The UK proved a large market and today's classic market rates the model highly and MPH is delighted to offer this fine 1988 automatic-transmission 635CSi model, which comes with very good history. The vendor tells us the engine was replaced with a genuine BMW exchange unit in 2004 (with the engine bill on file) and is said to start and run very well. All other mechanical components are also in very good order. The bodywork is in very good order, showing extremely good panel fit and shut lines, and the light metallic blue paintwork presents extremely well too, as does the glass while the engine bay has been well-maintained. Interior-wise the grey leather seats are very tidy and free of neglect, as is the carpet, while the dashboard and trim are crack- and damage-free. MPH is pleased to offer this fine 635, and while there is a healthy supply of examples available, finding a good one is trickier. Here is a well-presented, well cared-for example with good history. It is sure to appeal to the discerning 1980s grand tourer enthusiast. With good-condition bodywork and paint, a good interior and genuine BMW replacement engine in 2004, here is a highly tempting example of the bigger-engined 6-series.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 80/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. This is high praise when you consider the large number of 911 models that have been built over the 50+ years since the model's introduction. The Carrera RS (Renn Sport) is still, to this day, the benchmark 911, the beautiful lines only being matched by the sheer delight of driving it, with its positive steering, exhilarating sound and linear performance. Built before the American "ugly bumper" era and the oil/fuel crisis, the RS had a purity of purpose that was not compromised by outside factors. For this reason, the Porsche RS Replica market has grown enormously and demand is far outstripping the supply of quality machines. The majority of RS recreations are based on later 911s, however, the immaculate evocation here is based on an original 1971, 'D'Series 2.2-litre 911E, a rare and valuable car in its own right.Dating from 1971, this Porsche 911E was originally left-hand drive and belonged to Crispin Dawes who lived in Balmoral Ridge in Queensland, Australia. It was raced locally during the 90s and was involved in a light rear-end accident in 1996. A few months later he decided that rather than repair the car he would convert it to right-hand drive and create the ultimate homage to the legendary 2.7 RS.This work was entrusted to Autohaus Hamilton of New South Wales, well-established Porsche specialists and they were to be involved with the car right through until 2013 when it was shipped to the UK. In total there are 30 pages of detailed invoices from Autohaus amounting to almost 95,000 Australian dollars and anyone considering the purchase of this lovely RS needs to spend some time examining these as, in addition to the 2.7-litre engine, 915 gearbox, body restoration and major parts, every nut, grommet and washer that went into this car's preparation is listed. The first invoice ($21,100) is dated 19-12-2003 and runs to 5 pages and includes the replacement 2.7-litre RS engine, 915 gearbox and clutch. Over the next 8 years, the work appears to be spaced out, but reading through, it's obvious that correctly replicating a '73 RS was the priority. The odometer readings increased between invoices so we assume the car was being used regularly. In June 2012 it was fully stripped again and was sent to the "panel shop" for an engine out, glass out respray in the correct shade of Viper Green. In October 2013, the Porsche was purchased by a well-known enthusiast in Norfolk to add to his collection and shipped in a container later that month. There is correspondence with HMRC in the file confirming the import and that all duties and taxes have been paid. The car was UK-registered in December 2013 as BAD 1K.Although very happy with his new Porsche, our collector eventually decided that the interior, the majority of which was original RS was not up to the standard of the rest of the car and asked the Porsche Centre Tonbridge to refresh the car's interior, retaining all the carefully sourced RS parts and sort out one or two little niggles and this was carried out in January 2015. (Invoice in the file). At the same time, a new fuel tank was fitted complete with fuel pump, sender, filter and hoses, the rear brake disc backplates were replaced, a new spare wheel and battery were fitted and all four road wheels were refurbished. The invoice totalled £6,254.77 and the odometer read 6,411km at that point. The little RS now presents superbly with a deep shine and excellent detailing. The interior looks "as if no one has ever sat in it" and the RS speedometer shows 8,017km. The whole car looks and drives every inch the '73 2.7RS and is worthy of close inspection. An original 1973 Carrera RS is out of reach for anyone but those with the deepest of pockets, but this car has so many of the dynamic properties of the 1973 icon, shares so many RS parts, is presented in excellent condition throughout, and is based on a 1971 911E a car that has significant value in its own right. The car is offered with an MOT valid until 22/04/2021, Swansea V5C, full details of its Australian restoration, UK import correspondence, and details of Porsche Tonbridge's fastidious attentions, meaning this incredible motor car is now ready for its next lucky owner to cherish and enjoy in equal measures.Stop Press. Exciting news. Today, May the 19th, we have been lucky enough to speak to the man who created this fabulous car and he has confirmed certain really positive aspects of the car's build of which we we were not aware when we wrote the original description. He explained that he had raced it for a period and following a bit of a rear-end tap he decided to convert it from left-hand drive to right-hand drive and create the ultimate homage to the legendary 2.7 RS. The work was carried out over 10 years initially and obviously all of the details are in the 30 pages of detailed invoices from Autohaus Hamilton in NSW as listed before. However, importantly, he assures us that the body panels, wings, dashboard, steering wheel and instruments are all original RS parts having being sourced over time, something we suspected but couldn't confirm, and most importantly the engine is an original 2.7-litre RS. Otherwise, the information in our original story hasn't changed and this additional information is confidence-inspiring and makes this remarkable Porsche seem even better value.Video of the Porsche 911 2.7 RS Re-creation Click here for more information This car was consigned by Nick Whale. Absolutely sparkling, 3-litre Targa from the first year of 'Super Carrera' productionFinished in Petrol Blue Metallic with a black leatherette/black and white 'pin-stripe ' velour interiorFive-speed manual box, ATS alloys, Leather Wheel, Centre Console and Electric WindowsComprehensive history from new with Autofarm, Francis Tuthill, and Porsche Centre BrooklandsCurrent mileage is 23,980. Major Porsche Service with fresh fluids on 27/01/2020 at 23,979 miles (one mile ago)Detailed Ownership History, every MOT, Porsche C of A, fully stamped Service Records in the original pouch, an original 1978 Sales Brochure, the current V5C and an MOT valid until 21/08/2020In simply remarkable condition, totally unmolested and one of the best original cars we have ever seenIn 1978, Porsche introduced their latest development of the 911, christened the '911 SC', with the SC standing for Super Carrera. Powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a five-speed, 915 transmission, power output initially was 180bhp, subsequently 188bhp and finally, in 1981, it was increased to a heady 204bhp. 1979 was the year that Porsche had envisioned that their new 928 would replace the 911 (we are still waiting for that to happen), however, 911 sales remained so strong that Porsche revised its strategy and decided to inject new life into their core model. According to its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this stunning Targa was built in September 1977 for the 1978 Model Year and was finished in Petrol Blue Metallic (only available '78-80) with a Black Leatherette interior enhanced by black and white 'pin-stripe ' velours. It 's fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox, the standard ATS alloys, which look particularly good on the Targa, and optioned from new with Impact Absorbers, Headlamp Washers, Leather Steering Wheel, Coloured Windows, a Centre Console and Electric Windows. Finding a 1970s Porsche with a comprehensive history is fairly rare and, apart from an intriguing nine years, this lovely original car has just that. Initially ordered from AFN Guildford by Peter Cresswell, senior partner in the law firm, Bradstock Plunkett, the Porsche was first registered as WLY 185S on 25/11/1977. It had covered just over 3,000 miles when it was sadly stolen from Chelsea whilst the Cresswell family were abroad on holiday. No trace was subsequently found and the insurance company naturally replaced it with a similar model. Some nine years later, shortly after this second car was replaced with his third new Porsche, Peter Cresswell received an unexpected phone call from Worthing Police telling him that 'his ' Porsche had been left blocking someone 's drive and when it was reported, it popped up as 'stolen '. It had covered less than 1,000 miles in the previous nine years and remained in very good condition. It still bore the original registration suggesting that it hadn 't been stolen to sell on to the Continent or to have its identity changed and we can only conclude that whoever stole it loved it so much that they simply had to have it. It was presumably kept in a lock-up and brought out on high-days and holidays to be driven around on its original plates. Brave. It's important to note that at no point have HPI ever listed the car as 'Stolen and Recovered' and pleasingly, the car does not seem to have been recorded anywhere in this connection. Anyway, in mid-March 1987, having negotiated a figure of £11,000 with Royal Insurance, WLY 185S formally became the property of Peter Cresswell, as it was to remain until 2005. The car was used lightly over the next few years and having covered only a few thousand miles required little in the way of maintenance apart from a new heat exchanger and full service in May 1997 at 8,589 miles, however, in May 1999 the car was sent to Autofarm at 9,076 miles for a general assessment. Several head studs were found to be broken and one thing lead to another resulting in Autofarm rebuilding the complete top end with replacements barrels and heads, new pistons and rings, and associated components. From the look of the invoices on file, Autofarm carried out further mechanical attention and the invoices (all on file) from the May-September period amount to around £7,500. The Porsche was based near Banbury so it was natural that Autofarm in Weston-on-the Green continued to look after and service it which they did until its sale to Mike Gabb on 20/10/2005 with a mileage of just over 11,000. Mike and Sally Gabb enjoyed the little Porsche for almost eight years covering a total of just over 11,000 miles, with service invoices from Auto 2000 and Francis Tuthill, before selling it to Neal Gordon on 21/08/2013. Neal applied the cherished registration '2 UPK ' to the Porsche, moved it to his slot in the underground NCP car park in Cadogan Gardens and covered a total of only 1,800 miles in the following three years with the longest single trip being a 145-mile journey to Norfolk. Towards the end of his ownership Neal treated the car to four new brake calipers with pads, four correct-spec BOGE shock absorbers, greased, adjusted, renewed parts of the clutch and throttle linkages, set the wheel alignment and filled the gearbox with 'very expensive oil'. This work was carried out by Porsche Brooklands on 16/08/2016 at a mileage of 23,754. In December 2016, at an indicated mileage of 23,973, the Porsche was purchased by Graham Dacre CBE and added to his Norfolk-based collection where it was to remain until recently purchased by our vendor. The current indicated mileage is 23,980 and there is an invoice on file from Porsche Cardiff detailing a Major Service with fresh fluids on 27/01/2020 at 23,979 miles (one mile ago). With the exception of the missing nine years when the Porsche was stolen, the service history is comprehensive, however, it only covered 1,000 miles whilst in hiding and, as it was returned unmolested our 't-leaf ' presumably loved the car, so the lack of history is not an issue. The owner 's file is impressive with a detailed Ownership History, every MOT back to 1989 individually sleeved, a summarised MOT History, older V5Cs, a significant number of detailed invoices/worksheets from Autofarm, Francis Tuthill, and Porsche Centres Brooklands and Cardiff, a Porsche C of A, fully stamped Service Records in the original pouch, an original 1978 Sales Brochure, the current V5C and an MOT valid until 21/08/2020. Patently well cared for throughout its life, even by the bloke who stole it, this Targa remains in remarkable condition. It presents really well in a delightful shade of Petrol Blue, the paintwork retains a deep shine, the shut lines are factory standard, the brushed stainless-steel roll hoop appears unmarked and the ATS alloys look sharp. Similarly, the interior looks virtually showroom fresh with very little signs of wear and the black and white pin-stripe seats are quintessentially eighties but 'eighties boardroom' as opposed to 'eighties night-club'. With a warranted mileage of less than 24,000, a comprehensive history and looking a 'million dollars', this 1978 3-litre SC Targa is worthy of a place in any collection of classic Porsches. Right-hand drive, 12,700 miles only, in gleaming Obsidian Black with classic red leather6.2-Litre V8. Roof-hinged Gullwing doors pay homage to the iconic 300SLImpressive service history. Most recent in August 2019 and only a few miles sinceStructured and panelled entirely in aluminium, lightweight carbon-fibre driveshaftsNo better way to describe this vehicle other than, 'truly breathtaking', it really is special There's something utterly beguiling about a large capacity V8 and the one you'll find under the bonnet of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is an absolute peach. It's a 6.2-litre unit and was the first V8 from the AMG stable to be designed from the ground up, with its initial application being in the E63 super-saloon. The engine was further developed for the SLS with a dry-sump set-up utilising 120 unique parts and, in this guise, could muster a very healthy 563bhp. It's a simply superb engine and even when running on part throttle it rumbles and crackles like distant thunder and lightning. It's mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission complete with a 'Race Start' launch-control system enabling a claimed 0-62mph time of 3.8secs and a top speed of 197mph. The SLS is one of those machines that had modern-classic written all over it from the moment it first saw the light of day and, whilst it was the first car to be fully designed by AMG in-house, it was sadly the last to be fitted with a naturally aspirated V8. However, it wasn't just a case of prodigious power and retro-inspired styling that made the SLS a modern icon as, when 'EVO Magazine' pitched it up against some pretty serious rivals, it won the motoring press over with its blend of all-round ability and everyday usability. Pitched head-to-head with Aston's V12 Vantage, Ferrari's 599 HGTE and the evergreen Porsche 911 Turbo 'S', the AMG's depth of talent won the day. The SLS on offer here is a right-hand drive example that's only covered 12,700 miles from new (at the time of cataloguing) and is finished in the striking combination of Obsidian Black with Classic Red leather. The digital service report in the cars accompanying history file states that it has been serviced six times in its short life, with the most recent documented in August 2019 at Waterhouse Chelmsford Service Centre at an indicated mileage of 12,665 miles. Supplied with two sets of keys and an MOT valid until January 2021 this is an absolutely immaculate example with serious presence. There is no better way to describe this special vehicle other than 'truly breathtaking'. We feel that it's being offered at a realistic guide price when you consider the quality and performance on offer and, as production ceased in 2014 and Mercedes-AMG have elected not to replace the car, we can only surmise what will happen to values. We commend this fabulous car for your attention. Click here for more information This car was consigned by Harry Whale. The 944 Turbo Cabriolet combined the Turbo S' 250bhp engine with the strengthened cabriolet body built by ASC at Weinsberg Only 625 were built, with just 100 examples produced in right-hand drive for the UK, Japanese, Australian and South African markets Classically finished in Guards Red with a Classic Grey (TT) leather interior and grey carpets throughout Original and fully stamped Porsche Service Book plus numerous invoices for maintenance and previous MOT Certificates, helping support the indicated mileage Factory stickers still in situ, two sets of keys and a complete book-pack suggest careful ownership This is a simply lovely example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Porsches from the 1990s Following the international success of their nimble 924, Porsche designed an all-alloy, 2.5-litre inline-four for their new 944 which they planned to introduce in 1982. Their talented engineers were able to produce a very smooth running four-cylinder engine by utilising two counter-rotating balance shafts running at twice engine speed. These carry eccentric weights which produce inertial forces that balance out the unbalanced secondary forces, all a bit technical but the result is a large four-cylinder engine that feels as turbine-smooth as a six. Cosmetically, the 944's bodywork was revised with wider wheel arches (similar to that of the 924 Carrera GT), a fresh interior and upgrades to the brakes and suspension. With greater visual presence and the performance to match, better handling, stopping power and more creature comforts, the 944 was a natural step forward. A 'turbo' version of the 944 was always on the cards, and the forced induction boosted the 2.5-litre engine by a healthy 60bhp, necessitating an upgraded clutch and gearbox. The chassis was further developed and thicker anti-roll bars and four-pot brake calipers were fitted to deal with the significantly increased performance. Externally, a smoother nose panel and a larger rear spoiler distinguished it from its lesser siblings. In February 1991, the final year of 944 production, Porsche released the 944 Turbo Cabriolet which combined the Turbo S' 250bhp engine with the strengthened cabriolet body built by the ASC-American Sunroof Company at Weinsberg. Compared to the Coupé the Cabriolet's windscreen is lowered about 6cm and raked back to reduce the wind noise when the top is down. Porsche initially announced that 600 would be made, but ultimately 625 were built, with just 100 examples produced in right-hand drive for the UK, Japanese, Australian and South African markets. These are rare cars, produced for just one year, with only 32 examples believed to still reside in the UK. Presented here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 944 Turbo Cabriolet supplied new by Porsche Centre-Strattons of Wilmslow Ltd. on the 1st August 1992. Finished in the ageless Porsche colour combination of Guards Red with a Classic Grey (TT) leather interior and grey carpets throughout, this car is in superb condition and has today covered just 50,000 miles (approx.). It was supplied with options 220: a limited-slip differential with 40% lockup with reinforced inner plates and molybdenum coated differential shafts (as standard), 233: tyre specification, 573: air-conditioning, 605: headlight aim control and 946: leather/ leatherette seats. It was serviced by Porsche Centres (Strattons, Chariots, AFN) from 2,789 miles to 19,968 miles, and latterly by marque specialists. It's supplied with the original fully stamped Porsche Service Book, numerous invoices for maintenance, and older MOT Certificates, which help corroborate the indicated mileage. Now being sold from part of an enthusiast's collection, this car has recently benefited from a full service (including cam-belt) in 2016. Bought by our vendor from a Porsche main dealer, unfortunately, a change in circumstances now means he must sell the car. This fabulous, open-top, Porsche has obviously been well-maintained and presents, both mechanically and cosmetically, really well. Small but important details like factory stickers still in situ, two sets of keys and a complete book-pack help support its careful ownership. This is a simply lovely example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Porsches from the 1990s. The 944, the 968 and even the 928 are seeing their values rise in the wake of the '911 explosion' and front-engined Porsches are having the Renaissance they richly deserve. This great example, whilst being competitively guided, opens the door into a very exclusive club. Click here for more information This car was consigned by Joe Watts. Porsche COA. Recent MOT Presented with all hand and service books, all service invoices and both keys An exceptional example. A reluctant sale from discerning Porsche collector The sparkling Boxster 'S' Manual that we have on offer here must surely qualify as one of the very finest currently available and is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a Black Hood and desirable Extended Black Leather. According to its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, it was optioned from new with Heated Seats, 19'' Carrera Classic Alloy Wheels, a Sports Steering Wheel, and Top Tinted glass, a very desirable specification. The top of the range 'S' was powered by the state of the art, 3.4-'litre, 299 bhp/250 lb.ft, water-cooled DOHC, 24-valve, Boxer flat-6 (Vario Cam Plus) 'M97.22' This UK-spec, right-hand drive, 987 was built in early 2008 at the Valmet Automotive plant in Uusikaupunki, Finland and was supplied new by the Porsche Centre Sheffield in January 2009. At the time of cataloguing the odometer indicated mileage of less than 25,000 and this is supported by MOTs and a 'full dealer/specialist' service history as below. 7,574 miles (Porsche) 13,841 miles (Porsche) 20,069 miles (Porsche) 23,006 miles (Zentrum Porsche) 24,226 miles (Zuffenhaus Porsche), with the last 'major' service including gearbox oil, spark plugs and drive belt replacement. All service/handbooks are present as is the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity together with the car's original two keys. The recently issued MOT Certificate (No Advisories), shows a recorded mileage of 24,423 and is valid until February 2021. The standard of finish, externally and internally, is exceptional and a testament to all four custodians who have clearly lavished much time in keeping up its appearance. It remains virtually unmarked throughout including the wheels which are wearing matching Bridgestone Potenza tyres. The 300bhp, 3.4-litre engine, six-speed manual gearbox and legendary Porsche build quality make the Boxster S one of the most enjoyable performance cars available at any price and dynamically the 'S' is still the 'King' of the roadster brigade. On offer from a small 'classic' collection, this lovely low-mileage car has all the gloss, integrity and well-oiled solidity of a 987 that's just rolled of the production line and will provide its next lucky owner with a sensibly guided entry into the rather exclusive world of Porsche ownership. UK-supplied, right-hand-drive, indicating just 88,219 miles (atoc), presenting in outstanding condition Gleaming Guards Red paintwork with electric, heated seats recently professionally detailed and protected Substantial maintenance record with recent expenditure of over £10,000 Offered HPI clean with a current MOT Certificate, original Porsche books, tyre inflator and tools A rare, collectable, genuine Turbo S, 1 of 77, on offer from a meticulous private collector This UK-supplied, right-hand-drive Porsche 944 Turbo S is classically finished in Guards Red and was first registered on 1st August 1988. The smart interior is in black leatherette with a black and white, 'pin-stripe' velour and interestingly, the sports seats were deleted in favour of electric, heated comfort seats. Another interesting option on this Turbo S is that the car was ordered with a request for the M44.51 engine as opposed to the M44.52 that would normally have been fitted to this model year, perhaps opting for the earlier unit without the spring-loaded cam-belt tensioner. Today, this special and rare 944 Turbo S presents beautifully with a superb and detailed maintenance record. Indicating just 88,219 miles at the time of cataloguing with just three previous owners, it's clear to see by looking through the substantial history folder that this example has been very well maintained from new. After its purchase in 2017, our fastidious vendor, a Porsche enthusiast, sent the 944 to the local Porsche main dealer in Wolverhampton for a full check over and the subsequent work included fitting the correct M030 sports shock absorbers, a full brake service, a short shift gear lever kit and an uprated gear linkage with a final invoice for £2,700.00. A little later, the car was taken to the Porsche specialist CMS in Telford for further maintenance and this included a new throttle position sensor, cable and fuel pump. To enhance the car's performance, a refurbished KKK turbocharger was fitted along with an ECU update taking the power output up to a claimed 290bhp. To ensure the Porsche presents as well as it performs, it has recently been extensively detailed including a three-stage machine polish with a final application of Gtechniq ceramic coating. As you will see looking through the images and video footage in this listing, this beautiful Turbo S can only be described as outstanding. Offered with its original books including the service record stamped up-to-date, the tool kit, tyre inflator, a substantial folder of invoices, old MOT Certificates, its current MOT valid until January 2021 and other related documents. Only 1,000 examples of the Turbo 'S' were built in total with just 77 in RHD and only a handful in Guards Red so this is a very good opportunity to take ownership of an interesting and rare Porsche from the late 1980s. Revered for excellent handling, these transaxle models are becoming increasingly collectable and difficult to source in such fine condition. Delightful, early 5-dial dashboard, short wheelbase, 5-speed, four-cylinder 912 Imported from the USA in 2009. Subject to extensive works by Tower Bridge Porsche (£28,000) Further invoices (Strasse, Roger Bray and Renn Sport) take total spend to over £42,000 Full, engine and glass-out respray in Porsche Schwarz 041, new interior, new headlining New floor pans, inner and outer sills, fuel tank and fuel lines, and refurbed alloys Fitted with a rebuilt, period-correct, original 912 engine dated 1967. (original 'matching-numbers' engine block is included in the sale) The question of how to tempt new customers into Porsche ownership has always been problematic. On the one hand, you're trying to uphold the reputation of the company as a purveyor of high-quality, high-performance sports cars whilst on the other, you're anxious not to alienate those potential customers whose budget won't stretch to a new 911. In 1964, Porsche had just such a problem with the sales of their new 911 proving a touch disappointing and continuing demand for the 356, which was scheduled to be phased out, necessitating that the production lines kept rolling. The solution seemed to be financial, and the decision was made to replace the 356 with a four-cylinder, more appropriately priced 911 and, as a result, the 912 (initially 902) was conceived. Like so many Porsche 912s, this particular example was delivered new in left-hand drive to its first owner in the USA during December 1965. Originally finished in Aga Blue with a Beige leatherette interior, the car was ordered with tinted glass and chrome wheel hubs. Some 44 years later in 2009, it was imported to the UK from the US (a copy of a Certificate of Title for Virginia State resides in the history file) and, upon arrival, was subject to extensive works by marque specialists, Tower Bridge Porsche. The work included; stripping of interior and removal of glass, removal of engine and gearbox, replacement floor pans, inner and outer sills, new fuel tank, new fuel lines, replacement headlining, refurbishment of the Fuchs alloys, a full respray in Porsche Schwarz 041 and a new interior featuring Renn Sport houndstooth sports seats and Coco mats. The invoice for this work totalled £28,000 and there are a host of parts invoices from Strasse, Roger Bray and Renn Sport also included in the history file with total spend exceeding £42,000. The car is currently fitted with a rebuilt original, period-correct (1967) 912 engine which was fitted by Strasse in 2013. The 'matching-numbers' engine block is included in the sale but will require a rebuild before it can be married to the car once again. Supplied with a UK V5C, this is a good opportunity to acquire a really smart, 5-dial dashboard, 5-speed, short-wheelbase Porsche 912. UK delivered (C-16), right-hand drive, Tiptronic car with a warranted 43,475 miles (atoc) Tastefully specified in Midnight Blue with Marble Grey leather, black soft top and silver alloys Superb history folder and the original book-pack including the service booklet stamped up-to-date most recently by marque specialists In lovely condition with recent expenditure of £5,000 on maintenance and aesthetics Revered modern classic sports car noted for its excellent build quality and sure-footed handling The Porsche (project no.) 968 made its debut in 1991 and was effectively the last gasp for the long-lived 924 line. Originally mooted as the 944 S3, the new number was probably more a result of pressure from the marketing department, but it was right for recessionary Porsche wrestling with struggling sales. Visually, it was the biggest step forward since the launch of the original 944 in 1981, with only the doors, roof and tailgate being carried over from the 944. The new front-end with 928 style pop-up headlamps did bring a touch of modernity. It was powered by an updated version of the 944's straight-four 3.0-litre, now with 237bhp. Changes to the 968's powertrain included the addition of Porsche's, then-new, 'Varioram' variable valve timing system, newly optimised induction and exhaust systems, a dual-mass flywheel, updated engine management electronics and the dual-mode Tiptronic automatic became an option. First registered on the 24/05/1994, this right-hand drive (C-16) UK-supplied Porsche 968 had been very tastefully specified in Midnight Blue with Marble Grey leather. It was optioned from new with a dark blue hood, Tiptronic (automatic) transmission, 17'' Cup-style alloy wheels, the 'Cup' steering wheel and an upgraded stereo system compatible with a modern iPhone. With just three registered keepers to date, it's clear to see that this sparkling 968 has been well looked after over the years. It's in lovely condition and has benefitted from recent expenditure of around £5,000 on maintenance and aesthetics ensuring the little Porsche remains in top form. The indicated mileage of 43,475 is supported by a comprehensive service history and the car is accompanied by its original Porsche book-pack containing the service book/owner's manuals and the tool kit is also present. The MoT is up-to-date and valid until March 2021 with no advisories. As you can see from the video attached to this listing, the electric hood operates as it should and we are informed by our vendor that the car drives as well as it looks. Today, these modern classic sports cars offer superb value for money and, as you would expect from one of the world's most highly regarded sports car manufacturers, the performance matches the excellent build quality. These 968s look as good on the road today as they did when new in the '90s and running costs needn't be painful either with many marque specialists available for routine maintenance. Summer is just around the corner and this Cabriolet is a lovely example in a super colour, with decent history and very sensibly guided. Lot 175

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment. UK-supplied, right-hand drive, indicating just 81,436 miles (atoc) supported by a comprehensive service record Presented in gleaming Alpine White paintwork with black sports seats and unmarked Tele-dial alloys Offered with its original book packs and a large history file including 18 MOTs and a wealth of invoices Becoming increasingly sought after in such good condition, these trans-axle era Porsches represent superb value The lovely Porsche presented here is a 1986 944 Turbo Coupé and is a C16 (UK-supplied), RHD example finished in the classic Porsche colour combination of Alpine White with Black leather and Porsche pin-stripe cloth sports seats. This sparkling example has clearly been very well cared for over the years with many parts having been either replaced or fully reconditioned and has recently benefitted from a full cambelt service at 80,345 miles (current mileage is 81,436), plus a new exhaust manifold heat shield and new hydraulic engine mounts. Our vendor describes the car as being "nice and powerful on boost, well-balanced, precise and comfortable". It's accompanied by an extensive history file documenting regular service intervals in the original maintenance booklet (almost entirely full of Porsche OPC stamps), numerous invoices, an original book-pack with driver's manual, radio instructions manual plus MOT Certificates going back 17 years, helping to verify the mileage. This is a super example of one of the most sought-after Porsches from the 1990s. The 944, the 968 and even the 928 are seeing their values rise in the wake of the '911 explosion' and front-engined Porsches are having the renaissance they richly deserve. This delightful example is very competitively guided and could open the door into the rather exclusive club of Porsche ownership. Lot 193

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment. As new with only five delivery miles from the pre-delivery inspectionRetains factory protective film to the Super Sport windshieldEmerging from 17 years dry storage as part of our vendor's collectionOriginal Bill of Sale from Harley Davidson, handbook and sales brochuresCertificate from Harley Davidson stating final 'Anniversary' model to be deliveredAccompanied by a trickle charger and Harley Davidson Anniversary coverIntroduced in 2001, the VRSC family bears little resemblance to Harley's more traditional line-up. Designed to compete against Japanese and Italian 'muscle bikes' in the expanding 'power cruiser' segment, the "V-Rod" makes use of an engine developed jointly with Porsche that, for the first time in Harley history, incorporates overhead cams and liquid cooling. The V-Rod is visually distinctive, easily identified by the 60-degree V-Twin engine, the radiator, and the hydro-formed frame members that support the round-topped air cleaner cover. The Revolution engine is based on the VR-1000 Superbike race programme, co-developed by Harley Davidson's Powertrain Engineering team and Porsche Engineering in Stuttgart, Germany. It is a liquid-cooled, dual overhead cam, internally counterbalanced 60 degree, V-twin engine with a displacement of 60 cubic inches (1,130cc), producing 115 hp (86 kW) at 8,250 rpm at the crank, with a 'red line' of 9000 rpm. it was introduced in the new V-Rod line in 2001 for the 2002 model year, starting with the single VRSCA (V-Twin Racing Street Custom) model and the 2003 models leading to the 100th Anniversary edition. The V-Rod we are offering here is not only a rare 100th Anniversary edition but a truly exceptional example. It was manufactured and delivered in 2003, has never been registered and subsequently never used. Having been carefully dry stored by our vendor, its only owner, it remains in superb showroom condition gleaming from every aspect, and still retaining the protective film on the windshield. It's accompanied by its original Bill of Sale from the supplying dealer, Warr's Harley of Kings Road London, the original Owner's Manual, sales brochures and a special Harley 100th Anniversary cycle cover. With a certificate verifying it as the last 100th Anniversary to be delivered, with only 5 miles recorded whilst undergoing the manufacturer's pre-delivery inspection (original copy also included), we very much doubt you will find a better example of this very collectable V-Rod. We tend to steer clear of saying 'as new' or 'new', but in this case, we recommend you inspect this future classic and compose your own conclusions. Surely unrepeatable!
