1987 Porsche 944 Transmission: automaticMileage:82730The 944 was to feature new styling based upon the Le Mans styled  Porsche 924 Carrera GT, along with a brand-new Porsche-designed and developed 2.5 litre, four-cylinder engine. Sales of the 168bhp coupé went through the roof with a massive 26,800 Porsche 944s being produced by the end of 1982. To put this figure into context, the entire Porsche company made just 28,000 cars in 1981. The new Porsche owners were attracted by the stunning looks and presence of the model and in 1985, the 'Lux' coupé arrived with a completely new interior design dominated by a smooth, sweeping oval dashboard. This severed all ties with the 924 and completed the move upmarket for the 944. The dash provided improved ergonomics for the instruments with all useful components and buttons placed close at hand. With so many Porsche 944's manufactured, they were a familiar sight on UK roads. However, it is fair to say that relatively few good examples still exist. This however, represents one such example, which is presented in Arctic White with deep red leather/velour  interior. Owned by the vendor for the last two years, unfortunately the history folder, which we are aware was significant has been misplaced. Clearly though inspection of this car confirms it has been a very well cared for example. Some light recommissioning will be carried out prior to the auction and this 944 will also be presented for an MoT test. Offered for sale without reserve this could well prove to be a sound investment.

Lot 105

2005 Porsche 987 Boxster S Transmission: automaticMileage:97702The first generation Boxster (the 986) was introduced in late 1996 and was powered by a 2.5 litre flat six-cylinder engine, many believe the introduction of the Boxster helped save Porsche from acquisition. It was Porsche's first water-cooled, non-front engine sports car as the Boxster is mid-engine, while the 911 has a rear engine. This layout provided a low centre of gravity, near perfect weight distribution and good handling. In 2000, the new Boxster S variant was introduced with a larger 3.2 litre engine and in 2003, styling and engine output was upgraded on both variants. With prices rising the later 3.2 litre S models with manual gearboxes are becoming increasingly sought-after.This example is presented in silver with a black leather interior and black electrically operated hood. It comes with electric windows, stereo, Tiptronic transmission and it also comes with a nice history which includes all its Porsche manuals and booklets. It has a fully stamped service book which is up to date and shows the car has been well looked after by Porsche specialists on a regular basis, with its current MoT test certificate valid until 19th July 2023. Offered without reserve, this represents a great opportunity for some fun on the roads €“ legally of course!

Lot 121

1989 Volkswagen Golf Mk. I Clipper Cabriolet Transmission: manualMileage:103375In May 1974, Volkswagen presented the first generation Golf as a modern front-wheel drive, long-range replacement for the Volkswagen Beetle. Later Golf variations included the Golf GTI 'hot hatch' introduced in June 1976, a diesel powered version from September 1976, the Jetta notchback saloon in October 1979 and from the end of 1979 the Golf cabriolet built by Karmann. September 1983 saw the introduction of the second generation Volkswagen Golf, the Mk. II, that grew slightly in terms of wheelbase, exterior and interior dimensions while retaining, in a more rounded form, the Mk. I's overall look. There was not a Golf Mk. II based cabriolet model, instead, the Mk. I cabriolet was continued over the Mk. II's entire production run. Karmann, in Osnabrück, Germany, was until 2009 the largest independent motor vehicle manufacturing company in Germany. For more than a century, they have undertaken various roles, from design to production and assembly of components for various automobile manufacturers including Chrysler, Porsche and the Volkswagen Group.Originally registered on 24th May 1989 this Volkswagen is painted white with a grey cloth interior and a black roof. Presenting in good all round condition this Golf Mk. I Cabriolet, has had work carried out within the last 12 months including the fitment of a new alternator, fuel pump and starter motor. The carburettor has been refurbished, a new cambelt has been fitted as has a new roof. This is a very tidy example that can be used and enjoyed immediately. These very stylish cabriolets offer retro looks, wind in your hair motoring and German reliability. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 21st April 2024.

Lot 125

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Transmission: manualMileage:124486The 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 is a classic sports car that was produced from 1984 to 1989. It is a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle with a 3.2-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine that produces 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Carrera 3.2 is available in coupe, cabriolet, and Targa body styles, and it features a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Some notable features of the 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 include its iconic styling, excellent handling, and precise steering. It also has a comfortable and well-appointed interior with supportive seats and high-quality materials. A well-maintained Carrera 3.2 can provide a thrilling driving experience and hold its value well as a classic sports car. This fabulous example is presented in Guards Red with black leather interior both of which are in excellent condition throughout. It comes with its original book pack with a service book containing 17 stamps, drivers manual plus a large folder of historical invoices, electric windows, CD player, Bluetooth, height adjustable driver's and passenger seat, folding rear seats and electric sunroof. This car has recently undergone a major service including valve clearances, four rebuilt brake calipers and new brake fluid. An inspection of the complete exhaust system was carried out which included the inspection of heat exchangers and replacement of exhaust gaskets, new gear lever bushes, nuts, studs, a thorough clean of the underside of the car and carry out rust proofing and Waxoyl treatment. The fastidious previous owner also renewed various parts over the last few years which have included bumper pads, bumper bellows, rubber seals, number plate lights, rear lights, bonnet gas struts, engine oil seals, all brake pipes and hoses, brake pads and discs on all four corners, front and rear brake disc back plates, four wheel bearings, all front and rear suspension bushes including rear anti roll bar inner and outer bushes with covers, rear ARB drop links, 930 Turbo steering arm upgrade and many more €¦ The car also had new Bilstein club sport suspension fitted and freshly rebuilt 915 five-speed gearbox with factory short shift, also remote central locking with new CAT 1 alarm system/immobilizer. This 911 really is in superb condition and does need to be seen to be fully appreciated.Interested parties should note that contrary to what is written in the catalogue and what is on our website, the engine has not had a top end rebuild.

Lot 144

1984 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit Transmission: automaticMileage:47487The Silver Spirit was unveiled in October 1980 as a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Direct comparison, however, showed only small differences. The new models had slightly grown in length and width; height had been cut a little, although the styling was more modern than that of its predecessor. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and sumptuous leather. The Silver Spirit was similar mechanically to the Silver Shadow, benefiting from the superb Rolls-Royce 6,750cc, V8 and sharing many mechanical characteristics of the model it replaced. The instruments were supplemented by digital units which gave such information as the time, elapsed driving time and external temperature and were the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. This impressive Rolls-Royce was ordered by franchised dealer Dutton-Forshaw as their demonstrator vehicle. It was registered by them in December 1984 and presents both stylishly and subtlety in special order Ice Green coachwork with a beige leather interior. This look is enhanced with contrasting carpets, gold coachlines and whitewall tyres. The car was purchased by its late owner in 2010. He was a dedicated car enthusiast and owned vehicles by some of the world's most famous marques including Aston Martin, Porsche and Maserati but we are informed that his favourite by far was this Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit which was used for 'high days and holidays'. We are also informed that during his tenure the servicing for the car was done in house at his company. The cars bodywork and interior trim are both in tremendous condition as is the woodwork which appears unmarked. The carpets are unworn, and the car is complemented with a full set of sheepskin over rugs and a complete and unused toolkit. The boot area is unmarked and the engine bay is extremely clean and tidy. This 'time warp' Rolls-Royce is offered to auction with an impressive file of paperwork which includes factory specification and build sheets, an original service book with 15 dealer stamps, an original owner's handbook pack, 28 previous MoT test certificates, a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until February 2024. This car has only become available owing to the death of the owner and is offered without reserve.

Lot 190

1976 Lamborghini Urraco P300 Transmission: manualMileage:63515In accordance with their usual practice of naming their cars after fighting bulls, it was fitting that this new, junior, V8 Lamborghini was named 'Urraco' which approximately translates as 'little bull'. Its 2+2 configuration hinted at Lamborghini's grand touring roots and its distinctive styling by Gandini displays a family likeness to the fabulous Countach. The V8 engine, however, was a departure from the traditional V12 and may have been indicative of Lamborghini's decision to have a look at a different market where the Porsche 911 and Ferrari Dino 246 currently reigned supreme. The most developed Urraco was the P300, of which approximately 205 were made between 1975 and 1979. The P300's engine had a larger stroke than the P250, upping displacement to 2,996cc and providing 265bhp at 7,800rpm. The P300's is a considerable step up from the P250 with its chain driven, quad cam engine proving both more powerful and robust, as well as the addition of a brake servo ensuring the car's stopping ability matched its improved performance.First registered on 1st May 1976, this stunning stainless steel bumpered example presents beautifully in its metallic grey paintwork with tan interior. Sitting on a set of incredibly rare, new old stock Campagnolo magnesium wheels, this car is unusual in that the wheel's centre caps are clipped in, a feature not possible when these types of wheels have been refurbished, (the centre caps are then usually glued back in). Details like this are a clue as to the quality of the car. Maintained for some time by the very well reputed Lamborghini specialists Colin Clarke Engineering, the car has had very light use by the vendor who has been keen to maintain its beautiful condition. Anything that the car has required has been done by Colin Clarke Engineering and the vendor reports the car to run and drive extremely well. An example of this is that Colin Clarke removed the engine and rebuilt the gearbox as well as checking the clutch in September 2021 at a cost of £10,146. The original four spoke steering wheel remains and the interior was re-upholstered to a high standard in tan leather, in 2014, at a cost of £6,600. Complementing the new interior, the then owner is reported to have had the car repainted at around the same time. All the relevant badges and stainless steel trim are present, even the original Blaupunkt radio cassette player is in situ, making this a rare, arguably concours condition example of these handsome 1970's Italian sportscars.Supplied with a V5C registration document and file of receipts amongst other information. 1970 Porsche 911 E Transmission: manualMileage:87948The Porsche 911 E is considered by many to be one of the quintessential air-cooled Porsche 911 experience's and is a favourite among enthusiasts. The 911 E was powered by a 2,195cc flat-six engine for model years 1970-1971, which produced an impressive 153bhp. It is paired to a five-speed manual transmission, giving it an exhilarating driving experience. The exterior of the 911 E features a classic and elegant design, reminiscent of the earliest short wheelbase 911's, but with a slightly lengthened wheelbase, to improve handling and safety. Few cars provide such a visceral driving experience as an air-cooled Porsche 911, these early cars are always popular, and this particular example could be perfect for using as it is or taking to the next level. The present owner purchased this car in 2017 as a project which needed to be finished. It had already been painted in this fetching shade of Bahama Yellow but was missing various interior and trim pieces which our vendor has managed to locate and get the car to the condition it is in today. Once the car was complete, it was then taken to a renown Porsche specialist by the name of Dave Broughton, who he describes as 'nothing short of a genius', who managed to get the car running as it should. The overall condition of the car is very presentable and it could certainly be enjoyed at any Porsche 75th anniversary celebrations this year where it is sure to be admired. We are informed the car starts and runs well, and that it drives just as good as it looks.  The car is provided with a V5C registration and if you are looking for an early air-cooled 911 to use and enjoy this summer, this car will tick all the boxes. It is being offered with a very sensible estimate and proposes huge potential for the next chapter of its life.

1990 Porsche 928 S4 Transmission: automaticMileage:124287The Porsche 928 burst onto the scene in 1978 and became the first (and still only) sports car to win European car of the year award. The 928 was continually developed until reaching the S4 in 1987, which would stay in production until 1991. The 928 S4 is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 316bhp and 317 lb-ft of torque, which provides effortless acceleration and a top speed of 165mph. The 928 S4 was also one of the most technologically advanced cars of its time, with features such as ABS, airbags, and an advanced suspension system. Its timeless design, with its low profile and smooth lines, has aged exceedingly well and is still highly regarded by car enthusiasts across the globe. This particular example began its life in Japan, which is far from a bad thing. Many will know that the cars being imported from Japan tend to find themselves in far better condition than their UK delivered siblings, due to the lack of salt on Japanese roads and their highly scrutinous MoT requirements. This car is no exception, the Slate Grey metallic paintwork still presents in superb order and the Linen leather interior is also in exceptional order. The odometer reading of 124,287km would translate to around 76,000 miles and the condition could easily pass as being far lower. The wheels look to still be in their factory finish too. There is some evidence of servicing during the cars time in Japan, however without being an expert in the Japanese language, it is rather hard to translate. Since the cars arrival in the UK in 2016, it has been maintained properly, with evidence of four services in that time, including a £3,862 invoice in 2021 for work on a big engine overhaul including the all important cambelt service. The car comes to auction with a valid MoT until 2nd May 2024.Our vendor has owned this car as part of his private collection and has now decided he needs to free up a space in his garage. The car will be missed, but since it hasn't been getting as much use as intended, he has decided it is time to let someone else enjoy this excellent 928. What better way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche this year than with one of the models which helped to save the company?

2018 Porsche 356 Speedster Homage Transmission: manualMileage:86799The first-generation Boxster (the 986) was introduced in late 1996 and was powered by a 2.5 litre flat, six-cylinder engine. Harm Lagaay's design, inspired by the 356 Speedster and 550 Spyder, stimulated a commercial turnaround for Porsche. Many believe the introduction of the Boxster helped save Porsche from acquisition. It was Porsche's first water-cooled, non-front engine sports car as the Boxster is mid-engine, while in the 911, rear-engine. This layout provided a low centre of gravity, near-perfect weight distribution and good handling. In 2000, the new Boxster S variant was introduced with a larger 3.2 litre engine and the base model received a more powerful 2.7 litre engine. In 2003, styling and engine output was upgraded on both variants. Production of the 986 began at the former Porsche 928 facility in Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. The Boxster was Porsche's biggest volume seller from its introduction in 1996 until the company introduced the Cayenne sport utility vehicle in 2003.For those looking for a unique and very individual driving experience then look no further. This one-off Porsche Iconic Autobody 386 Speedster Homage boasts the classic looks of yesteryear and features modern running gear. It is not just a car that is truly beautiful to look at, but it is excellent to drive and has the benefit of reliability. Designed and built by Brian Hale of DNA Automotive, with a string of top-quality Ferrari replicas and Aston Martin recreations to his name. Bespoke coach built on the platform of a Porsche Boxster 2.7 986 it is a modern drivetrain masterpiece and features the retro styling found in the 1950s and 60s.  Being based on a Boxster it is a seriously fun car to drive. The current owner has adored this special car, only taking it out on sunny days and covering little mileage for the last 3 years. In his ownership, he added a brand-new red leather interior which joins a great specification consisting of heated seats, Pioneer Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Apple Car Play, Air-Con and LED driving lamps. The Boxster used,  is a low-owner, full Porsche history example which now has a total of 86799 miles. This car looks fantastic and is a real head turner.
