A small bronze rectangular plaque commemorating the 1936 Berlin Olympics, decorated with a pigeon on a plinth with the linked rings behind and inscribed "Olympya 1936", believed to commemorate a release of the birds at the opening ceremony, in original presentation case and a small bronze medallion inscribed Postagalamb Sport Egyesulet and embossed with two pigeons on a plinth inscribed "Colombia 1882" in original presentation box.
PHOTOGRAPHS, 1936 OLYMPIC GAMES. An album containing approximately 104 mounted black and white and sepia photographs and postcards, the majority relating to the 1936 Berlin Olympics, [circa 1936-1937]. Oblong folio (284 x 346mm.) Most with printed titles or captioned by a contemporary hand, many featuring athletes in action, including official photographs and postcards, and a number of unofficial contact prints. (One leaf with section excised.) Contemporary cloth, the upper cover with the Olympic rings and titled ‘XI Olympiade Berlin 1936’ (extremities slightly scuffed and spotted).
1952 Olympic Games, a set of 52 programmes from the 1952 Games in Helsinki, including the Opening/Closing ceremonies. The programme were supplied by the press office, and includes the programme of events and ticket prices. This lot gives an excellent opportunity to acquire a complete set of programmes, and is good investment prior to the 2012 Olympics In London.
* Gloucestershire. Drayton (Michael), Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, [1612 or later], uncoloured engraved map, numerous allegorical figures, old folds, 255 x 335mm, mounted, framed and glazed. The map has a charming and vigorous depiction of the Robert Dover games, or `Cotswold Olympics’ which are held annually just outside Chipping Campden on Dovers Hill. (1)

Olympics - Berlin, 1936, a superb medal, `Olympic Order 2nd Class` (55mm x 56mm) in original case of issue, gold plated with white enamel in form of Olympic rings with gold eagle and swastika.
