Floyd Patterson signed white index card. American professional boxer. twice reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1956 to 1962. At the age of 21, he became the youngest boxer in history to win the title, and was also the first heavyweight to regain the title after losing it. WILLIAM MACKENZIE THOMSON (BRITISH, FL. 1870-1892), The First Class cruiser H.M.S. 'Hawke', Signed 'Mackenzie Thomson' (lower left), Watercolour heightened with body colour, scratching out, 11½ x 17¾in. (29 x 44.5cm.), An 'Edgar' Class cruiser of 1889, Hawke was sunk by U-9 on 15th October, 1914, the same submarine that had infamously sunk Hogue, Aboukir and Cressy three weeks earlier. She was also the ship that was badly damaged by R.M.S. Olympic in 1911 but which also tore a hole flooding two of Olympics compartments in the process. Hawke was cleared of all blame.

The present medal comes from the 2nd Winter Maccabiah which was staged February 18th to 22nd, 1936, in Banska Bystrica the in Czechoslovakia. 2,000 athletes participated from 12 participating nations.This was to prove the last time a winter Maccabiah was held, with no attempts to revive it after the 2nd World War - although the Maccabi World Union still runs smaller regional winter games to date.
