1976 OLYMPIC GAMES - MONTREAL Collection of items relating to the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, includes the rare Olympics Yachting events opening ceremony programme at Kingston, plus 126 page booklet All about the Games Montreal 1976, a fold-out booklet relating to descriptions of all the different event venues, three tickets for Equestrian Events (different dates), two colour photographs (small) showing the Opening Ceremony and a boxed pair of Canadian Olympics Association cuff-links. The items belonged to a yachting official at the Olympics. Generally good
OLYMPIC GAMES 1952 HELSINKI Five album pages with the signatures in ink of over 60 GB competitors in Athletics in the Olympics. It was a poor Olympics in terms of medals for the GB team but there were plenty of top eight positions. Signatures include Disley who won a bronze medal, Pirie, Sands, Lerwill, Canley, Cheeseman, Foulds, Desforges, Armitage etc plus signature of Howard Whitlock who won gold for GB in the 1936 Olympics and George Rhodes of Jamaica who won gold for Jamaica in Helsinki. Generally good
OLYMPICS 1928-ARGENTINA The 1928 Olympics were held in Amsterdam and en route the Argentinian football team stopped off in Rio de Janeiro. These two postcards show the Argentines training in Rio and are annotated to the rear to this effect, one postcard shows the Argentines lined up in the goalmouth, the other shows them practising. Generally good

The photograph shows the players, manager and trainers in civilian clothes and some wearing hats which were fashionable at the time.. Scarce photograph. Generally good
OLYMPIC GAMES 1928 Two very rare b/w photographs of the Uruguayan and Argentinian football teams returning home after the 1928 Olympic games in Amsterdam in which Uruguay won the gold medal defeating Argentina in a Final replay 2-1, the first game ending 1-1. Picture 1 measures 6" x 4" arriving back in Montevideo" and shows the Uruguayan players at a reception with officials after arriving back in August 1928. Picture 2 shows a large black/white photograph of the crowd welcoming back Argentina after their return from the 1928 Olympics football., measures 24cm x 18cm. Generally good
LONDON OLYMPICS 1948- SWIMMING VIP edition official programme for Swimming at Empire Pool at London Olympics 4/8/48, the VIP issue has additional blank pages for officials etc to take notes and this programme is signed by 28 swimmers including Bruce Harlan who was the gold medal winner in the Mens Springboard diving and 3 members of the GB ladies 400 metres relay team. 1920 OLYMPICS - ANTWERP Postcard with Antwerp Olympics postmark/franking on the reverse, dated 2/9/1920. The football final was played on this day , Belgium were leading Czechoslovakia 2-0 when the Czechs walked off enraged by some of the referees decisions and the gold medal was awarded to Belgium. Good

The football final had been played the previous day but with the Czechs being disqualified there was now a play-off between Spain and Sweden to decide who played Holland for the silver and bronze medals and this took place on the date of this card. 1924 OLYMPICS- PARIS Uruguay Olympics Soccer Champions medal given by the Uruguayan FA to their players and officials after they won the gold medal at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. Uruguay beat Switzerland 3-1 in the Final. Silver/bronze medal with the flags of Uruguay and the Uruguay FA on front , legend on front reads "Uruguay World Champions" whilst on reverse legend reads "VIII Olimpiada Stadium Colombes- Paris 1924" with inscription in Spanish. From the collection of Jose Nasazzi who played for Uruguay. Good
