Late Victorian pale oak tantalus with applied Gothic brass mounts, of three square cut glass decanters on an elongated octagonal tray base with opposing sprung drawers operated by buttons under the middle decanter, overall width 52cmCondition report: one stoppper has a facetted taper, the other two tapers are plain; minor chips around a footrim; decanters generally in good condition; brass fittings polish worn; both spring mechanisms working; no key and lock not working (not locked).Overall the item is in good condition.
Rare and possibly Unique Royal Doulton flambé 'Old Crow' decanter circa 1954 originally made for Old Crow Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, National Distillers Corp. the base marked with a black patch cancelling the logo, 31cm high Condition report: Several firing cracks and resulting hairlines to the base, pock marks to the glaze from poor firing. These factory faults are possibly why the logo has been cancelled by the black patch of glaze. There is no damage or restoration or crazing.
Victorian trefoil electro-plated decanter stand holding three amethyst glass bottles with grape capped cork stoppers, overall height 44cm.Condition report: the plating on the stand is worn in parts; the neck bands and stoppers are all different, one neck band is Victorian silver; the replacement bottles are of uniform colour and in good condition.
Suite of glass probably Stourbridge c.1880, to include two decanters and stoppers, thirteen sherry glasses, fourteen small wine glasses and thirteen large wine glasses, (44) Condition report: One decanter has a chip to the top of the neck, the other has a minor nick to the inside of the rim from the stopper. Both stoppers have minor nicks to the points. One large wine glass and one sherry glass have chips to the feet. One small wine glass and one sherry glass have chips to the rim. There is the occasional very minor nick to the facets of some of the other glasses.
