A collection of 13 pieces of Victorian green Mary Gregory type glassware, comprising two pairs of decanters, two jug decanters, two jugs, three finger bowls, vase and small vase. Tallest 27 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The mallet shaped decanter has a chip to the rim, no stopper. The small bulbous vase has tiny nibbles to the rim. One sugar bowl has tiny nibbles to the rim. Water jug has a small chip to the interior rim of lip. There are small chips to the rim of the waisted vase. One of the pair of mallet shaped decanters has tiny rim chips and chips to the stopper base; the other is in good order. One of the pair of ewers has a tiny rim chip, both stoppers with chips to base.
A George III rum decanter, etched with date "1791". Height 31 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The decanter is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some minor scratches but these are insignificant. The stopper is in good condition with only very minor nibbles around the pontil mark at the foot.
A Victorian glass decanter, decorated with lily of the valley, and two others. CONDITION REPORT: Decanter one has a stopper with an accumulation of dirt to the incised line. The base of the stopper has tiny chips. There is a small chip to the base of the main decanter body but otherwise no further faults. Decanter two (facet neck) shows no post manufacture faults. Decanted three (enamel decorated) has rubbed gilding to the finial of the stopper. There is light gilt rubbing to the neck and body. Enamel appears intact. No other post production faults visible. None of the decanters have any engravings or makers marks.
A collection of 15 pieces of Victorian green Mary Gregory type glassware, comprising large pair of vases, pair of vases, jugs, vases and decanters. Tallest height 28 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The globular vase has a tiny rim chip. The decanter has small nibble to the rim (wrong stopper). The single dark green crimped edge vase has tiny interior rim nibbles. The pair of green and crimped edge vases have minute interior rim nibbles and rubbed gilding. The pair of dark green ewers - the right hand ewer has a small rim chip. Single green crimpled edge vase has a chip to the left hand side crimped edge. The pedestal type vase has rim chips. Where applicable all items have rubbed gilding or the gilding has been erased.
Pair ruby cut glass decanters with stoppers CONDITION REPORT One decanter has neck completely broken off and a few chips along the circular top - some other small chips / nibbles on body. Other decanter has few nibbles on body, otherwise good. One stopper has chip on base and nibbling around rim. Other stopper has very tiny nibbles around rim base
Selection of Mdina red tinted glassware with blue trailed decoration - comprising three decanters with stoppers, vase and one other item (5) CONDITION REPORT Tallest decanter 30cm - small section of the trailed decoration is chipped / missing which is possibly a manufacturing fault, small chip to base, signed. Decanter 22cm is perfect, not signed. Decanter 27cm - stopper not correct, probably a stopper from a scent bottle, stopper chipped at the base, bottle perfect, signed on base. Small bottle 9cm - possibly a scent bottle, the stopper for the above bottle does fit loosely, perfect, not signed. Bowl 10cm high - section of the trailed decoration is chipped / missing
