CARLOS EDWARDS - SUNDERLAND Player of the month award given to Carlos Edwards, February 2007 by the Sunderland Echo and inscribed. Consists of boxed small decanter and two small glasses with the Sunderland FC badge inscribed upon them. Sunderland were promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season. Good
A George III inlaid rosewood decanter casket, containing six cut glass decanters, width 31 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The casket is in generally good condition. The top is flat, the lid closes as it should and all brass work is present and original. We have the key. There are some minor stress fractures to the rosewood. The front top panel has fractures to the top left and right hand corners. There are also further stress fractures to the left hand side particularly at the bottom rear left hand corner. There are nibbles to all bottom edges of the corners. The rear corners are both missing sections of boxwood stringing. The right hand side has approx 3cm missing the left approx 4cm. The rear panels have minor stress fractures but no real issues. 1 decanter is badly broken at the neck. The second decanter has a similar break across the top of the neck. The remaining four decanters are in better condition with only the usual small edge nibbles to the hob nail cutting.
A George III mahogany square decanter box, containing four decanters. Width 21 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The casket itself is in generally very good condition with no problems to the mahogany. The recessed brass handles are in good order as are the hinges. The lock and escutcheon are present. We have the key. All decanters are in good condition. There do not appear to be any chips or losses. There are however no stoppers.
