A matched pair of Edwardian Art Nouveau silver overlay glass decanters, of globular form, both with foliate scrollwork overlay and vacant cartouche, the smaller hallmarked Birmingham 1908, 7 1/2in. (19cm.) high, the other unmarked, together with silver decanter labels of cartouche form 'Whisky & Brandy' by Charles S Green & Co Ltd. (4) * Condition: Some rubbing to overlay, overall good.
An extremely rare and unusual Victorian silver mounted taxidermy horse’s hoof claret jug / decanter, silver mount by Henry Wilkinson & Co., London 1872, shoe appears to have different indistinct marks, the base of silver mount with naturalistic textured hair design, the inner neck made of glass, shoe inscribed ‘JONES. 23.BOULEVART DES CAPUCINES’, 7¾in. (19.7cm.) high. * Condition: Hallmarks indistinct on shoe section, some pins holding on silver mounts loose or missing, possibly would of had stopper.
An early Victorian silver decanter stand, Mary Sibley & Richard Sibley II, London, 1838, of shaped square form with gadroon rim, having central tapering carrying handle with foliate heart shaped ring, holding four octagonal etched decanters with stoppers, each panel etched with roses, grape vines or other flowers, the necks with faceted shaped rings, height of stand 11¾in. (30cm.), weight 17.4 tr.oz. * Condition: one decanter with a tiny flea-bite nibble to corner of one edge of base, hardly noticeable, otherwise good, silver stand very good with clear hallmarks.

A rare green glass decanter and stopper, c.1790-1800, of simple club shape, engraved and gilded with a large label titled 'CAPPILLAIRE' and suspended from a gilt chain, the flattened stopped decorated with a C to both sides, 27.5cm. (2)Capillaire was a syrup made from the Maidenhair Fern, usually flavoured with orange-flower water and honey. It had a range of medicinal purposes including as a cure for pulmonary infections and the King's Evil. Over time the fern became optional and the term was used for any orange-flavoured syrup.
