Fourteen brooches to include two oval banded agate brooches, an intertwined design moss agate set brooch, a marquise shape moonstone set brooch, a silver onyx set brooch with outer Celtic design and various others (some items AF). All of the items are in fair condition, there are general scratches to all of the metal and silver work. Some of the gemstones are missing and there is abrasion and cracks to many of the gemstones. Some items are in need of repair.

A collection of mostly East Midlands footbal programmes, Nottingham Forest the best represented with 18 from the 1950's (plus a 52 - 53 handbook) and a quantity from the 1960's onwards, mostly homes; together with 11 Derby Country from the 1950's together with later examples, a smaller selection of Notts County with only one from the 50's the lot included other football programmes and memorabilia such as Celtic handbooks form the 1960's and 70's, internationals, cup finals.

A SCOTTISH FLINTLOCK BELT PISTOL, CIRCA 1720 with later Continental barrel moulded at the muzzle and enclosed by a band of silver, formed with a long flat inlaid with shaped silver panels over the breech, brass lock signed 'K.McL f' and engraved with foliage and wrigglework borders (extensive restoration and repairs), brass full stock finely engraved with Celtic foliage and strapwork scrolls over the fore-end enriched with silver rosettes, engraved with the owner's initials 'J.L.C.' at the base of the fore-end opposite the lock (the stock cracked through and repaired at the lock, one small chip above the lock), engraved ram's horn butt with tightly scrolling terminals, naïvely inlaid on each side with a heart and the owner's crest and motto in silver, the spine decorated with scrolling Celtic foliage and two inlaid panels of entwined silver strapwork, long steel belt hook inlaid with a pierced engraved heart in silver (losses) and pierced with a design of foliage at the base, engraved silver pricker, later button trigger, and moulded steel ramrod 39.5cm; 15 1/2in Inv. no. F028. LITERATURE Martin Kelvin, The Scottish Pistol, Its History Manufacture and design, London 1996, p. 159. The crest and motto is that of Campbell of Cawdor. It would appear that this pistol was extensively restored in the 19th century.

ROSS-SHIRE. SCOTLAND' in gold, blued receiver profusely engraved with Celtic knotwork and fitted with blued quick detachable telescopic sight mounts engraved en suite, manual safety locking the trigger as well as cocking-piece safety, 14 1/2in. well figured pistolgrip stock with raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, gold-washed trigger, blued pistolgrip-cap and trigger-guard engraved with further Celtic knotwork, the trigger-guard with gold serial number, box-magazine engraved en suite with the receiver, dark horn fore-end cap, gold escutcheon, in brass-corned oak and leather case with some accessories including oil bottles and spare blued magazine, the lid with leather trade label. This rifle is in as new condition.

LTD. / LONDON & EDINBURGH', ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with tunnel cover, block-mounted rear-sight with single standing leaf, blued receiver finely engraved with scrollwork within borders of running Celtic knotwork, the rear bridge signed 'FITTED WITH / FRASER'S PATENT / TRIGGER ACTION', 14 1/2in. pistolgrip stock stock with raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, blued mounts engraved en suite with the receiver, and dark horn pistolgrip-cap, in brass-cornered leather case, the lid named 'MAJOR INNES'.
