A Silver Bowl, Boodle & Dunthorne, London 1931, with Celtic knot border, on three stylised dolphin supports, 24.5cm diameter, 19oz 2dwt Makers mark is rather poor, possible overstriking another or struck twice, other marks with some rubbing but legible, also stamped ''Boodle & Dunthorne, Lord St Liverpool'' to underside. SOme surface scratching an occasional minor ding.

IRELAND - BRITISH ARMY 1941 Scarce programme, International, Ireland v British Army, 13/9/41 at Windsor Park, Belfast. Sixteen page programme, 6 x Belfast Celtic players in Ireland team plus Brolly (Linfield and Millwall), Stevenson (Everton) and Hayes (Huddersfield). The British Army team included Swift, Britton, Cullis, Mercer, Welsh, Hagan and Denis Compton plus Scots Carabine (Third Lanark), Beattie (Preston) and Tommy Walker (Hearts). Slight folds, slightly grubby . Generally good

MAN UTD - RANGERS 74 Manchester United home programme for the game v Glasgow Rangers, 9/3/74, friendly in theory but notorious for some of the most violent scenes ever seen at a British football game, United were perceived as being a Catholic club with strong links to Celtic and Ireland whilst Rangers fans were not particularly angelic at the time, in line with many others it should be stated, but the resulting crowd violence lead to horrific scenes. That United were experiencing a difficult season and one that finished with relegation and more crowd violence in the game v Manchester City which was abandoned shows that supporters of both of the two teams were incapable of being well behaved at the time and this game was an accident waiting to happen and it duly did. Programme is in good condition, complete with token and no writing. Good

Also, expanding crystal set bracelet, marbled effect beaded necklace, faux pearl clip earrings and large sterling silver ingot pendant. THREE GEM PENDANTS, A RING AND A PANEL, the two rectangular pendants set with coated quartz, together with an oval blue gem pendant, the ring set with an oval panel of chrysoprase, ring size J1/2, the panel of openwork design with central dragon and Celtic design surround, approximate lengths 22mm to 36mm, approximate total weight 31 grams
1st-2nd century AD. A bronze bust of the god Cernunnos wearing a crested helmet, dressed in a tunic with long sleeves depending from the raised arms, the face with large almond-shaped eyes and small mouth; right hand extended at shoulder-height. See Ross, A. Pagan Celtic Britain, London, 1967, p.164 for discussion of Cernunnos. 144 grams, 72mm (3"). From an English private collection; formerly with Bonhams Antiquities, New Bond Street, London, 5 October 2011, lot 302; found Lincolnshire, UK, 2004; accompanied by copies of the relevant Bonhams catalogue pages. Cernunnos was the god of prosperity, crop growth and human and animal well-being and was worshipped throughout the Celtic world. This bronze was found in the territory of the Corieltauvi tribe. Fine condition; lower body absent. Extremely rare.
