A Victorian brass student's lamp, with milk glass shade. Height 22 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The lamp is in generally good condition. The brasswork is in good order with only minor dents and blemishes as one would expect. The rise and fall mechanism operates as it should and as far as we are aware the reservoir appears complete with the internal float. The burner area has the internal rise and fall mechanism and the remains of a wick is visible. We are not sure what else should be present in this area. The shade itself is in generally good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration other than very minor nibbles to the foot rim.
