MEISSEN CENTREPIECE - DANCE OF THE HORAE. A large 19thc Meissen centrepiece now converted into a lamp, titled the 'Dance of the Horae' modelled with five classical figures and holding a garland of flowers, on a large circular base with painted and applied flowers and foliage. The centre now mounted with a three branch lamp fitting, a brass mount around the base with beaded border, and with a large shade. With painted factory mark and incised marks to the base, various damages and restoration. 91cms high to the top of the light fitting. *CR The centre would originally have had a central figure which has been replaced with the metal light fitting, the column has also been damaged and restored, the lamp fitting is a little loose at the moment. Figures, one has a foot restored, one figure with restored foot and leg, one figure has restored arms, one figure has a restored arm and the head has been broken off and repaired, some figures have been re glued to the base, and one has some restoration to the base of the cloak, some chips to the flowers on the base.Base, beading is loose, needs re wiring. Garland of flowers, some chips in places.
LARGE ART NOUVEAU OIL LAMP. A large and unusual pottery oil lamp, of waisted form with an Art Nouveau design and with metal mounts and oil lamp fitting. With a large pink glass shade, 34.5cms diameter, 49cms high to the top of the light fitting. *CR Shade seems fine but dirty, lamp seems generally fine with a little wear.
Chinoiserie lamp in the form of a shaped lidded vase, red-orange ground, handpainted with a garden scene, with gilt details throughout and black borders, on a carved stand, approximately 59cm high overall In need of rewiring/wire cut. Without bulb or shade. Losses/flaking to plastic on shade support. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. With hole for wire. Drilled to the base.
Glass lamp American, 20th Century, the shade pyramid form, the base of rectangular form on a pyramid support, with four claw feet, pink ground throughout with intricate bronze latticework, with a beaded fringe, 60cm high Overall wear, marks and scratches. Verdigris and discolouration to the metalwork. The wire has been cut so would need rewiring. There are no bulbs with this lamp. The glass sheets underneath have been broken and repaired. Beadwork brittle, some minor losses.
