It is fitted with a switch and has a hole in the base for a wire to pass, but is currently not wired. The shade is well made and has some paint and light marks to the surface but is undamaged otherwise.

An unusual late 19th century Arts and Crafts copper and brass oil lamp, in the form of a crane amongst reeds, with a copper reservoir, relief decorated with flowers, with an etched yellow glass shade, on a lily pad base67cm highCondition report: Dirty. Has been soldered around the underside of the base. A leaf is missing on the stem and the tip of another and maybe some of the stem. The bird was joined to the foliage, but this has come away. The reservoir appears to not be split, but it is not easy to see well and is slightly misshapen. The shade is good quality and undamaged.
A 19th century Doulton brass mounted oil lamp, reserved with floral panels, on an ornate scrolled base, printed marks, with a mottled cranberry glass shade56cm highCondition report: Looks to be complete. The pottery reservoir is mounted so not easy to see, but is crazed inside the cover. The glass inside appears undamaged. The brass looks complete but is dull. The shade fits well and has a rough edge around the base a small chip to the top.
ROYAL DOULTON; a figural table lamp, HN1392 'The Paisley Shawl', raised on wooden plinth base, height including shade 47cm.Additional InformationWe cannot give an accurate condition report on this because obviously it is screwed to a wooden base. The figurine is slightly loose on the base, but appears fine, with minimal wear and knocks to the base.

Further general dirt, tarnish, discolouration, etc.

A late Victorian oil lamp with cut cranberry shade and reservoir, raised on pierced metal plinth base, overall height including chimney 53cm, together with a similar example (2).Additional InformationEach of the shades with minimal nibbles, general wear, the smaller example is lacking chimney and the shade is possibly a replacement, the shade on the smaller example with large chips, the fitting which supports the shade is loose on the smaller example and the shade has become offset, also a chip to one of the facets on the reservoir.
AFTER L & F MOREAU; a bronzed spelter figure, 'Au Mérite', mounted on turned socle base and converted to a table lamp (af), and a wrought iron standard lamp with copper adjusting knob, opaque globular glass shade, clear chimney, copper reservoir and various further fitments, height 163.5cm.Additional InformationNeither lamp tested, no guarantee of working order. Heavy rubbing to the figure, the right arm has been broken and reattached. Wear to base, will need attention. Some fritting to rims of chimney and shade, as is usual, some visible solder to the lamp itself; Chips to paint, further general wear to stand.

A vintage moulded glass and wire framed hall lamp, drop approx 30cm, a similarly pale amber/brown tinted example, diameter 26cm, a small shade, 16cm and a further moulded shade with wrought iron frame, 18.5cm (4).Additional InformationThe glass is good on all, but some tarnishing and heavy wear to the metal frames.
A ship's gimbal wall or table light, with glass shade, overall height 32cm, together with a plaster urn shape lamp base, and a flexible desk lamp (3).Provenance: From the estate of Bernard Tucker, deceased. A former West London antiques dealer (1940 - 2019) these items came from his personal collection at his home on Gugh Island, Isles of Scilly. He was the subject of a documentary 'The Old Man of Gugh' which is available to view on Vimeo.
