Pullman Table Lamp in `Grecian Urn` style with a square base clearly stamped `CECILIA` on the lowest rim. Lacks shade but in excellent condition and standing 20” tall. Built as a Kitchen Car in 1927 by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company It was on the 13th April 1946 part of the set for the press run prior to the re-launch of the Golden Arrow after the War, also on the 21st June 1949 it formed part of the train that carried the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh from Waterloo to Weymouth for their visit to the Channel Islands. Additionally, on 21st November 1950 it was used for the state visit of Queen Juliana & Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, between Dover and Victoria.
Pullman Table Lamp in `Grecian Urn` style with a square base clearly stamped `ADRIAN` on the lowest rim. Lacks shade but in excellent condition and standing 20” tall. Built as a first class kitchen car by Birmingham C&W in October 1925. Originally sold to Wagons Lits and used on the Milan – Cannes service with sister cars `LYDIA` and `IBIS`. Returned to Britain in 1928 and used on both the Southern Railway and the London North Eastern Railway services including `The Golden Arrow`, `The Bournemouth Belle` and `The Yorkshire Pullman`. Withdrawn in August 1966 and cut up at Long Marston in January 1967.
Pullman Table Lamp in `Grecian Urn` style with a square base clearly stamped `MIMOSA` on the lowest rim. Lacks shade but in excellent condition and standing 20” tall. Built as a 12 wheel Kitchen Car by Birmingham C&W in 1914, it became part of the famous Marazion Camping Coach collection in 1962 when withdrawn from service. Fortunately it has been preserved and is currently at the Old Station Hotel, Petworth.
