A Japanese sword, 62.5cm blade with hamon, signed tang with ten characters, the blade 85cms overall, cast tsuba and cloth bound fish skin grip, leather bound wooden scabbard.Footnote: with attached label: This Japanese sword was picked up from the battle field at KOHIMA in Burma. By a REME officer who I obtained it from when I was a member of the Naval & Military Club in Piccadilly in London. The name of the officer was Colonel Nigel Minister. His father was a Inspector General of Police in Bengal India, after serving as an officer in the Great War.

FOUR JAPANESE TSUBA SWORD GUARDS, to include one iron with yellow metal and hardstone inlays, another iron pierced and yellow metal inlaid with scroll work and feathers, another iron copiously yellow metal engraved and a third of a pierced foliate design. All between 7 and 8cm diameter. (4) CONDITION REPORT: All four are showing signs of surface rust, the one inlaid with hardstones has some missing inlays, all have wear and knocks commensurate with age.
A Second World War period Japanese katana with curved single edged blade, length approx 66.5cm, tang signed and struck with armoury mark, feint wavy yakiba (areas of abrasion and edge nicks), brass tsuba, tape bound sharkskin covered grip with chrysanthemum menuki, in its black lacquered wooden scabbard, covered in leather, with suspension ring.
Japanese Samurai Katana sword. Tang is signed Bishu Osafune Honorimitsu Three holes through tang. 71cm blade. Black lacquered wooden scabbard. Bronze Tsuba. This sword was a WW2 trophy to a Royal Navy Officer. His photo album is included with the sword and has a photo of the Japanese Officer, Captain Tsuneki, surrendering the sword.

Blade length 17.75cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Tang damage. Some chips to the lacquer on the sheath and a section lost. Some wear and loss to the bindings on the handle.
A Japanese Meiji period Wakizashi. With horn kashira and shagreen grip with a gold overlaid bronze fuchi and tsuba decorated with figures. Having lacquered saya housing a kozuka with bronze handle decorated with a dragon on finely textured ground. Signed to the tang and kozuka blade and with undulating hamon. Blade length 45.25cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Handle bindings replaced. Tsuba etc loose. Some minor notches and pitting to the blade.
