Japanese WW2 Army Officers Sword Katana, blade with pronounced zig-zag hamon, nakago signed and with Seki Arsenal stamp and pierced with a single mekugi ana. In shin gunto mounts including unusual iron tsuba of shin gunto pattern, civilian replacement fuchi, in its scabbard with leather combat cover. Blade 66cms. Good condition, some age wear, blade cleaned bright.
WW2 Imperial Japanese Officers Shin Gunto Sword. Late war example brought home by a British Veteran. Typical example produced outside of Japan. 70cm single edged blade with fuller. Steel Tsuba. Brass fittings to grip. Grip has not been removed. Complete with wooden, leather covered scabbard. No suspension ring. Overall length 102cm.
A Japanese sword (wakizashi), blade 19.5 in., hon-zukuri, nakago appears suriage, signed (Bishu Osafune Sukesada) and dated 1533 (Ten mon ni Gatsu Hi), niju-habaki, square iron tsuba with rounded corners and incuse decoration of foliage, associated tsuka with iron fuchi and kashira, associated saya.
A Japanese sword (katana), blade 28.5 in., torii-zori, with masame-hada and midare-hamon, nakago appears tsuriagi with ana encroaching slightly on the six character mei (Echi Zen Kuni Jyu Kane Nori); silvered habaki with neko-gaki, iron tsuba with simple moulded border and decorated with a chased and gilded dragon, fuchi and kashira with waves in relief, menuki in the form of dragons, saya with textured lacquer, horn koiguchi, kojiri in similar style to the fuchi-kashira.
A Japanese naval officer's sword (kai-gun-to), Showa era blade 26 in., midare hamon, nakagao with signature (Kanemoto) and dated 1942 (Koki ni ju roku Haiku ni n-en), and stamped with Seki control mark; regulation naval mountings with plain tsuba between large seppa with radiant sun motifs. Possibly Ando Kanemoto.

A WWII Japanese officer's Gunto katana, the blade 68cm long with bronze tsuba and copper habaki, brown tuska ito and same fish skin tsuka with floral menuki, lacquered saya with bronze mounts and attached bead sageo of green hardstone, pearl, yellow metal and wood, kashira with floral decoration, calligraphy signatures to the tang, with a leather case CONDITION REPORT: Blade tarnished and the Ha (blade edge) shows a few little nicks (see images). Copper showing through the habaki. Small dent to the fuchi. Menuki surface to one side appears corroded. The Saya's surface is worn in sections, more so towards the top section, with the lacquer deteriorating. The saya appears slightly misshapen/dented to the tip. See further images. Leather case extensively worn.

A CIVILIAN KATANA. A Katana in civilian mounts, with the signature Kane Yoshi (made this) three character signatue to the tang. The Tsuba of iron with both slots filled, the Menuki of Tachi form. Black cord bindings with non-matching Fuchi and Kashira, The 27.1/2" blade is fitted with a copper habaki , with light staining. The Saya is of a dark wooden base, decorated with gilt patterns and worn off in places. See Illustration
THREE JAPANESE NETSUKE EDO/MEIJI PERIODS One a kagamibuta netsuke with a wood bowl, the mixed-metal lid shaped as a small tsuba and decorated with a bat in flight over reishi fungi, the other two katabori wood netsuke carved as a firefly on a small pumpkin and a snake on a seashell, the later signed Koyu to the reverse, 5cm max. 1570 dated Japanese Koto Period Katana by Mogoroku Kanemoto, with NTHK certified paperwork. Blue fabric wound binding, with very good modern ray skin grip base, and silver gilt menuki and decorative pierced tsuba. Tang shows maker stamp for Kanemoto. 70.5cm long blade, shows modern silver habaki, full hamon to blade edge & distinct sanbonsugi temper line pattern to boshi, showing manufacture by Mogoroku Kanemoto. Modern lacquered scabbard included to complete this exceptional condition sword. Comes with comprehensive research paperwork, including NTHK certified certificate, showing tang photo, embossed & hand inked details in Japanese script authenticating the sword, maker & date. Sanbonsugi Kanemoto swords are renowned amongst collectors and enthusiasts as being of the finest quality blades and also for their sharpness & cutting ability. Overall length: 99cm
WW 1 to WW2 Japanese Navy Officer’s Kai-Gunto sword & scabbard. Fabric wound binding, triple gilded flower disc menuki with black lacquered wooden base, gilded brass fittings and decorative starburst tsuba. Working locking mechanism. Tang shows stamps for manufacture by Toyokawa Arsenal, numbered 1017 & anchor stamp. Opposite side of tang looks to name the sword to Yama Guchi, 4th son of….. The 69 cm blade shows light scratch wear from use & in and out wear. The black lacquered wooden scabbard is in very good condition, with some crazing to finish, a couple of small service strikes with gilt finished suspension posts & fittings. Overall length: 96. Comes with research paperwork
WW2 Japanese Army Officer’s Shin-Gunto sword & scabbard by Koketsu Kanetaka. Full field service laced grip cover over the fabric wound binding, with excellent ray skin grip base, triple gilded flower menuki and decorative pierced tsuba. Field grade Lieutenant tassel to pommel. Scabbard retaining working locking button. Tang shows stamps for Showa Period manufacture and smith details for Koketsu Kanetaka, resident of Seki in Noshu Provence. The 71 cm blade is in very fine condition, with full swirling hamon to edge. The brown scabbard is in very good condition & retains its full field service leather scabbard, with metal braced drag, with taped split and 13cm long stitching separation to cover. Very good condition overall. This sword was souvenired in Burma and donated post-war to the Army Association Club. Overall length: 99cm. Comes with research paperwork

Scabbard retaining button present, but not locking. Tang shows stamps but too rusty to identify, but Showa Period manufactured. The 71 cm blade is in good used condition, showing some nicks to edge, slightly rounded kissaki. The brown scabbard retains 70% of the leather field service cover, with upper fittings showing rust and wear, but all present. Overall length: 102cm
A fine old Samurai Sword having oval bronze Tsuba/hand guard, alternating twist handle wrap securing two menuki/palm ornaments over the fish skin grip, the pommel decorated with flower blooms having a swing loop, complete with scabbard having two loop rings and fittings with similar flower bloom decoration, 38 5/8'' long overall, the sword itself, 37 1/2'' overall, the incredibly sharp blade 27 1/4'' long.
