A 1760's Ivory Fan of Cabriolet Form, the monture carved and pierced, painted and gilded, with a design of birds, flowers, fruit and figures. The upper leaf section is painted with a large cartouche of a farmer picking fruit and presenting his harvest to two seated ladies, with a young boy playing with a dog in the foreground. The reserves feature various smaller vignettes of landscapes and a seascape. The lower leaf features a shepherd and shepherdess in a rural setting. The verso is plain. Guard length 10.5 inches 26.5cm Provenance: Purchased from Christie's SK on July 20th 1993, lot 157, and illustrated in the catalogue. Formerly in the collection of the Baroness Adele von Bornstedt The leaf panels have been reinforced with restoration materials.
Arthur Wilde Parsons (1854 1931 - A very large seascape oil on canvas in heavy gilt exhibition frame. Signed & dated 1890. Parsons lived in Redland, Bristol and was one of the celebrated Bristol Savages group of artists. He worked, and exhibited, at the Royal Academy from 1876. Measures 89 cm X 150 cm excl. frame.

Frank Herbert Mason (New York, Ohio, 1921 - 2009) Oil on board coastal seascape with figures. Signed lower right. A long-time teacher from 1951 at the Art Students League in New York City, Frank Mason had a forty-four year career in the classroom. In 1996, an exhibition of his work as well as that of many of his students was organized by many of his students and held at the G.C. Lucas Gallery in Indianapolis. Size: 15.5 x 24 in. Unframed.
