A Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch with a Painted Seascape Shipping Scene Dial, signed J.Hosegood, Tiverton, 1819, gilt fusee movement signed and numbered 9840, enamel dial with Arabic numerals and a painted seascape scene of a galleon and rowing boat, plain cases stamped inside with maker's mark HJ and matching London hallmarks, 56mm wide see illustration 10.03.20 Both cases with surface scratches, outer case with tarnished surfaces, inner case with small dents, dial with a chip to the centre and at the 6 o'clock dial edge, dial with hairline cracks, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, movement in going order.
