Marie-Madeleine Eyland (ne� Legrain) was born in 1930 at Floriffoux, Belgium; she lived most of her life in Scarborough working as a nurse and an artist.

I was inspired by my love for a seascape and how people are feeling at this stage in the pandemic. The current situation with the vaccines being rolled out and the easing of restrictions means that each day brings better news and there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.’
